Liam's POV

Something was wrong.

The feeling had been gnawing at me all morning, a persistent unease that made my wolf stir restlessly in my mind. I'd tried to dismiss it as residual anxiety from Trinity's nightmare last night, but the sensation only grew stronger as the hours passed.

I found Xerxes in the palace's main hall, discussing something with one of Caelum's advisors. His posture was diplomatically correct, but I could see the tension in his shoulders, the way his jaw was set just a fraction too tight.

He probably felt the unease too.

"Xerxes," I said, approaching with measured steps that fought against my growing urgency. I wanted to run, not walk, but I needed to remain composed. "I need to check on Trinity."

My brother's icy blue eyes immediately sharpened, reading the concern in my voice.

With a curt nod to the advisor, he fell into step beside me. We moved through the corridors, our enhanced hearing picking up the subtle sounds of palace life around us, but nothing tha

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 96: Sorry, I disobeyed.

Trinity’s POVThe lingering heat from Nasir's touch still warmed my skin as I watched him reluctantly leave my room, his amber eyes promising that our interrupted moment was far from over. My heart was still racing from the intensity of the kissing session we had.I wanted his hot tongue and warm mouth to circle my nipples and suck on my breasts the way Liam and Xerxes had done. It made me hot just thinking about it. I wanted him to feel me too!I had barely caught my breath when another knock echoed through the room, this one more formal and measured than the urgent rapping that had interrupted Nasir and me earlier.I quickly smoothed down my rumpled nightgown and ran my fingers through my tousled hair before getting off the bed and opening the door.A servant stood in front of me, her gaze lowered. She carried an ornate golden plate, its surface gleaming in the morning light, with a single folded note resting in its center."For you, Miss," she said in a soft voice, offering the pla

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 95 : Spicy time

Nasir's POVThe morning light filtered through the heavy curtains of Trinity's guest room, casting golden patterns across the luxurious bedding. I'd been awake for a while now, but I kept my breathing steady and my eyes closed, not wanting to wake her up. She looked so peaceful as she slept. After the nightmare that had gripped Trinity last night, her terrified screams and what she told us about "the lady in the shadows," we'd all agreed that someone should stay with her.Xerxes and Liam had reluctantly left when dawn broke. We couldn't all disappear without raising suspicions with Alpha Caelum. But I'd volunteered to remain, telling my brothers it was for security reasons. The truth was more complicated. Something about seeing Trinity so vulnerable, so afraid, had shifted something inside me. The mate bond that I'd been fighting for so long was becoming impossible to ignore.I laughed at myself internally. What had gotten into me? Was I really having feelings for this weak—well, n

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 94 – Marked for Danger

Trinity’s POVI jolted awake with such violence that my entire body convulsed. The nightmare shattered around me like glass, replaced by the soft lighting of the guest room in Alpha Caelum’s palace. But the terror lingered, clinging to me like a second skin. How could a dream feel so real? Or was it a dream?Three pairs of eyes stared down at me, each of their faces etched with deep worry and fear.Xerxes stood at the foot of the bed; his usual composed demeanor cracked with concern. Liam hovered near the window, his gray eyes dark with anxiety. And Nasir was on the bed beside me, his amber eyes wide and his face so close to mine that I could feel his breath on my cheek. It was his hand over my mouth, I realized. His touch that had pulled me from the nightmare. I jerked away from him instinctively; my body still flooded with adrenaline and residual terror from the dream. I saw something flash across Nasir’s face—hurt, quickly masked but unmistakable. Under normal circumstances, I

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 93 – Dreams and Screams

Trinity’s POVThe dream came again, but this time, I was back at my parent’s graveyard. The graveyard stretched before me in that familiar, haunting way that only existed in dreams. The weathered headstones of my parents stood like silent sentinels against the twilight that seemed to blanket this place whenever my subconscious dragged me here. This time, I was a bystander in my own dream, watching the recounting of the night I almost died after Luna Mira set me up. I was suspended above the graves, my hair flowing in a way that defied gravity, and my eyes were… silver. They glowed with an otherworldly power. The white wolf appeared, just as it always did. Magnificent and ethereal, with fur that seemed to shimmer under the moonlight. It padded silently through the cemetery, moving with the fluid grace that I had seen it move with in my memories of my dreams. I simply watched this time, as it circled round my parent’s graves as if protecting it or protecting the me that was suspende

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 92: Fear in our hearts

Nasir’s POVThe door to my room slammed shut behind me with more force than I intended, the sound echoing through the luxurious guest quarters of Caelum’s palace. My hands were clenched into fists at my sides, amber eyes still burning with the image I couldn’t shake from my mind no matter how hard I tried.I groaned as the image played again—Trinity’s lips against Xerxes’, her body pressed against his, and the way she melted into him like she belonged there. She does belong there, the rational part of my mind whispered. And then my wolf added, ‘she's our mate.’But the other part, the part that had spent years believing that she was beneath us, that her being wolfless made her weak and unworthy—that part was at war with everything I was feeling. And I hated to admit it, but I also found it sexy. Watching her kiss him like that made me wonder if that was how it looked like when she kissed me too.The mate bond pulled at me like a physical ache, demanding I go to her, claim her and pr
