Andrey Volkov stood in the doorway, a dark figure with nothing more than the hallway light illuminating the outline of his impressive, tall frame. I heard the deep, steadying breaths he took and watched his shoulders rise and fall. All I could do was to stand at the foot of the bed, watching him while frozen. Even in that moment, there was something slightly more primal, almost animalistic, in the way he moved controlled yet tense, as if a predator was restraining itself.

"Elena," His deep husky voice caressed my senses and made my heart restart with a hard jump.

"Ty prostish' mine to, chto ya' sdelal?"

"What is it, Andrey?" I finally asked when I heard him speak Russian. "Where have you been? What has happened?" I took a cautious step toward him, sensing something different in the air around him, charged, electric, almost like a faint heat that wasn’t human.

He stepped into the room and flicked on the light on the dresser. The dim light lit up his face, and I gasped as I checked him

  • HIS BALLERINA HUMAN MATE   Afraid of him

Being roused from sleep at an ungodly hour is perhaps the worst feeling in the world.Worse than hunger, worse than pain, worse than even the cold sting of loneliness. Sleep, at least, offers the illusion of peace. A place where I’m not an omega. Not mistreated. Not invisible. But that fragile peace shattered with in few minutes.“Get up and start doing your chores!” a voice shouted into my ear.A rough hand clamped around my wrist and yanked me out of the thin sheets I barely had to cover me. My body hit the cold stone floor with a thud, knocking the air from my lungs. I scrambled up on instinct, biting back a wince. I didn’t need to see the face. I knew the voice, Madam Hellen. Cruel. Loyal only to power. And a lapdog to our Alpha, a well known coldhearted bastard.I didn't even protest. What would be the point?Shuffling into the hallway barefoot, I pulled my thin uniform tighter around my body. The night air bit into my skin, but I was used to it. What I wasn't used to was the suf

  • HIS BALLERINA HUMAN MATE   Tell her the truth

ELENA'S POV"Stay here with me. Don't leave, Elena."A month later, when it was past the time for our contract to end, Volkov asked me to stay with him. To permanently move into his home and out of my studio apartment across the city. I couldn't say no, not to him.Volkov and I didn't talk about what happened that day he momentarily disappeared. Although I didn't know what became of Viktor. I heard rumours from the other dancers that there had been an incident at the theater when Luke was fired. I didn't bother asking because all that mattered to me was that all those vile men were out of my life.No one knew the full story, and I think it was better that way. Especially with the new sense of relief that could be felt in the other dancers at practice. All the contracts were over now, and our new unnamed owner immediately implemented salary raises and the end-of-the-year bonus.Volkov didn't say anything about it, but I thought I knew who it was. Volkov was probably the owner of the ba

  • HIS BALLERINA HUMAN MATE   Sleeping with him peacefully

The dried crimson blood on his knuckles was jarring. I inwardly knew it, that it wasn't his blood. Somewhere deep in my blood, I knew I should be afraid of Volkov. I should be afraid of him and what he had done, whatever it was. Yet I couldn't find that fear. All my focus went to the sensations of Volkov plowing into me. The sound of our skin slapping together and the heat of his body crushing me down. His mouth fell on my shoulder and I felt him biting into my skin. Shivers danced through me with the heady concoction of pleasure. There was something feral in him tonight, a raw, predatory energy that set every nerve on fire.Volkov thrusted into me so hard, over and over. It felt as if he would split me in half from the force of it. His movement was desperate and wild. One hand curled over mine and the other on my hip to keep me in place.I screamed into the bed when he used a knee to push my legs further apart. This pushed him deeper inside of me and I felt his cock ramming into my c

  • HIS BALLERINA HUMAN MATE   Worried about him

ELENA'S POV.~I'm not going to save you because of your love for me but because of mine for you~Andrey loved me. It was a world shattering admission. Every fiber of my being wanted to light up like a Christmas tree or explode like fireworks. There should have been untold joy and comfort that came from hearing him say those words. But instead, something cold coiled in my stomach the moment he turned away. The slam of the front door rattled the walls, too hard, almost inhuman like he had more strength than any normal man should. However the front door slammed in my face and he left. Andrey was gone. Leaving me cold and shocked, unable to process what just happened. While he might return my feelings, he wasn't here and the viscous rage in his dark eyes had terrified me, even if it wasn't directed at me.My heart clenched. There had been something feral in that look, wild, raw, barely leashed. I told myself it was just anger… just stress… but some instinct deep inside me whispered danger

  • HIS BALLERINA HUMAN MATE   say goodbye

The young hostess with dark hair swept into a tight bun noticed me enter. She took me in from head to toe and didn't miss the cigarette hanging from my lip as I scanned the restaurant.I felt the wolf under my skin stir, quiet, calculating. Humans always stared a little too long when my temper was rising; the Alpha aura leaked through the cracks when I was fighting the instinct to tear someone apart."Sir you can't smoke in here", Her tone was polite but I didn't bother looking in her direction. My nostrils flared. The air tasted like humans, fear, and old cooking oil. No wolf scents here. Good. That meant no pack interference."Is Viktor here. He is expecting me", He wasn't and I hoped she didn't notice that. Her heartbeat skipped. Fast. Uneven. She smelled the danger rolling off me in waves even if she didn’t understand it. Humans always sensed predators, even if they couldn’t name what hunted them."Oh", Her olive completion went pale as I said his name. Though now she looked at me
