STRAIGHTEN HER AT HIS WILL

Digging her nails into her palms, she gritted her teeth, and she promptly took sharp breaths. She found his eyes as he stared at her with intensity.

His manly scent whipped in her nose as his body leaned close to her. She shouldn’t get herself entangled with another person.

“I’m sorry if you felt my actions were aiming at that direction. I’m merely worried about you. That’s all, trust me.” His words held sincerity reaching his grey eyes, but for Marianne, it was hard to trust another man.

She tightened a smile on her face, burning the dangerous energy. “I’m sorry my emotions got a little out.” She cleared her throat awkwardly. Her head was just a few inches from touching his chest, and he was quick to move back.

She pointed out. “I will be taking my leave.” Her job here was done.
