AMELIA’s POV…

My stomach felt tightened, I could still recall the pain my wolf was in when they were fighting, and I could remember passing out.

“My baby!” I gasped as I jumped out of bed and doing so, I placed my hand to my stomach as I closed my eyes. My baby.

Luckily, Alaric was in the room when I regained consciousness and he rushed to me as he held on to my hand and staring at him, I could see how bruised he was. Oh, goodness! Why’d he have to get in a fight with Alex because of me. It wasn’t like him.

“Are you okay?” He asked me and I nodded as I sighed.

He looked down to my hand and immediately knew what I was going to ask about next.

“Alaric, my ba….” Before the words could leave my mouth, the door came open and of course, Alex walked in.

The moment he did, my face dropped as I took my hand from off my stomach. He didn’t know about the baby and I didn’t want him to know about it, so I couldn’t ask about my baby while he was still here. He was also bruised, but I didn’t want to
