Chapter twenty

AMELIA’s POV..

I could feel the happiness within me after she said so, and I smiled. “You really think so?” I asked her, and she nodded, innocently.

When I saw that I was smiling too much, I kept a straight face. I was supposed to be mad at this girl. “Tell me, why didn’t you tell me where you were headed? I was so worried about you, you know.” I told her, and the look on her face immediately changed to slightly sulky.

I knew what she was trying to do. She was trying to use her cutie effect on me and it worked almost everytime but not this time.

“That’s not going to work on me, young lady. You know we’re new here. We don’t know anyone here so why did you go out without telling me, huh?” I asked her, trying to feign anger even though I couldn’t when I was with her.

“I’m sorry, Amy. I wanted to tell you but you were fast asleep and Alpha Alexander said you were tired from last night and as such, didn’t want to bother you. Besides, we left a note under the lamp.” She told me, and I turne
