Jeanne looked at me as if she had just seen a ghost. Of course, she did not expect me to answer her like that or that I answer her at all. Never in my life had I ever had to question my sister's decisions, they were absolute and I did my best not to challenge her – she is my sister, my legal guardian, the one who sacrificed everything for me and who continues to do so.

I don't want to be ungrateful, even if what she does often hurts me, I have to give her credit for something she does for my good.
