Almost close to turth

Aubrey, bereft of words, wandered through life with a vacant expression. She languidly collapsed onto her bed upon returning home, feeling the weight of her unfortunate circumstance. "It's alright. I apologize for having such a feeble mother. It is truly unfortunate that I cannot witness my child's face," she whispered to herself, closing her eyes as tears trickled down her cheeks.

The following day, as Aubrey awakened, tears immediately streamed down her face, the first act of the morning. She lay in bed, gazing out the window, lost in her thoughts. In the evening, someone knocked on her door, urging her to come downstairs for dinner. Exhausted and devoid of interest, she declined. She simply longed to be left alone, uninvolved with Evan or anyone else in the family.

The door creaked open, and Aubrey, aware it was Evan, covered her face with the blanket. "What happened between you and Camila? Ever since the day you came home and went straight to Camila's room, you've been like this,"
