Chapter 24 – Sera

“Is that…?”

The voice came from somewhere in the crowd, but honestly, it could’ve been anyone. Everyone was whispering and staring.

Because at the front gates of Virelade there was a car so polished, so sleek, so ridiculously expensive that half the boys were practically drooling.

A black limousine, shiny as glass, with a crest stamped on the side that screamed wealth and power.

And stepping out of it Kael’s father.

He was tall, perfectly tailored suit, with an aura of authority. He wasn’t just wealthy, he was untouchable.

“Holy...” River whistled low under his breath. “Is that him? The Kael Ashbourne senior?”

Sera povThe whole crowd had gone completely silent, the whispers and murmurs were fading as everyone’s attention was on us.Luca’s lips had barely left mine, but the audacity of the moment hung heavy in the air. He grinned like a boy who knew he’d just caused chaos.Kael didn’t move immediately. His jaw flexed, his eyes darkened, and then… he stormed forward.“Luca,” he said, voice low, sharp, dangerous. “Step back.”Luca raised an eyebrow, still smirking. “Or what? You gonna kill me? Bury me somewhere?”“I said step back!” Kael’s voice rose it was angry and commanding, he looked like he was trying to suppress every inch of the raging storm he always tried to contain.I froze between them, stomach twisting painfully. My hands gripped the hem of my shirt, knuckles white.“You’re insane,” I whispered, barely audible.“You like it?” Luca teased, leaning closer again despite Kael’s glare. “Come on, Seth, live a little!”Kael’s eyes snapped to me, and anger in him was undeniable. So?”“You said you were at St. Helia.” His voice was quiet. Not accusing or mocking. He was just… stating the fact.My pulse thundered in my ears.Think...Think... Think!“I… misspoke.” The lie burned my throat. "It was slip of the tongue.”For a long, endless moment, Alexander just looked at me and then, slowly, he nodded. “Hm.”That was it. Just one sound. Then he turned, walking back toward the courtyard, leaving me frozen on the bench, my heart was pounding so hard it hurt.I exhaled shakily, relief flooding me. He hadn’t called me out. He hadn’t said a word to the others. He hadn’t

Chapter 23 – SeraSleep wasn’t an option at night because the cramps were wrecking my insides like some monster. On top of that, my mind was filled with the accusations kael was throwing at me earlier. “You’ve been lying to me.”The words still rang in my head long after the dorm had gone quiet.I curled myself tighter under my blanket, clutching my stomach as another cramp shot through me. A muffled whimper escaped before I could stop it, my throat burned with the effort of swallowing the sound back down.I was Seth and boys didn’t whimper about period pain, boys didn’t have period pain at all.If anyone found out, if Kael found out it would all be over. How will I explain to kael why was I crying while clutching my stomach? And going to the infirmary is like a suicide mission me because the nurse will know in an instant that I was a girl.I bit down hard on my sleeve and squeezed my eyes shut, willing sleep to come but it didn’t Instead, my ears picked up the quietest sound like s

Chapter 22 – Sera“You’ve been lying to me.”Kael’s words kept replaying themselves in my head for a while. I tried to play it cool, act like I was not affected by anything but in the end, I couldn't. The others froze when they heard kael.River’s eyes went wide before narrowing into a grin. “Ohhh… wait a damn second. Did Kael just… call Seth out? For lying? Or is this about something else?”Luca tilted his head. “No, no… this isn’t about lying. This is about Kael being possessive. Our boy here can’t stand Seth ignoring him.”“Possessive?” I sputtered, heat rising to my face. “That’s insane.”River gasped dramatically. “Oh my God. He does like you.”Theo choked on his granola bar. “ No way! Finally, something interesting.”I buried my face in my hands. “You guys are ridiculous.”But of course, they weren’t stopping.“Think about it,” River continued, pacing like a conspiracy theorist. “Every time Seth tries to leave Kael grabs him. Every time someone teases Seth, Kael glares at the pe

Chapter 21 – SeraOne thing I hate about waking up in the morning is the sunlight. the sunlight was cruel, it shined through our room window illuminating my messy hair and the scattered blanket on the floor. I groaned, burying my face in my pillow trying to get back to sleep because I didn’t want to get up today. Not after everything that happened yesterday. Nope!Juliette Beaumont, the kiss, everything was unbearable to me and I didn't have any idea why was I feeling like this.Everything that happened yesterday especially the kiss replayed itself over and over in my brain, this was humiliation and jealousy I could not escape.I raised myself upright, groaning as my legs threatened to go numb. My heart was already pounding, and I hadn’t even left the room, what would happen if I step out of this room and meet the SC? I wonder.“Come on, Seth,” I muttered under my breath. “You’re not going to die from sunlight Probably from embarrassment".The door opened before I could even grab m
