“Hey,” Serena looked up from her book to see Henry hovering over her desk. Their classes were over and they were in the library. Henry and Serena shared Chemistry and English classes. Serena was one of the few students who treated him with kindness. As always, Serena was sitting in her usual spot. She was waiting for Asher as he was yet to come. “Hi,” she smiled up at him. She wasn’t surprised to see him in the library. He was one of the regulars. Henry's eyes flared out slightly before he reached up to scratch his brow. “Ummm…actually I am looking for a book but I can’t seem to find it. I was wondering if you could help me,” he asked shyly. Serena like the helping soul she was nodded immediately. She jumped up from her chair and followed him into the lane. Together, they started looking for the book. “This book is very important for preparation. Do read it,” Henry suggested to her as he glided his fingers across the books' spine. Selena paused and looked him over in confusion.

Today was Amanda's birthday bash. Serena was at Shanice's place to get ready. Shanice had insisted she get ready with her. Serena didn't have the budget to buy expensive clothes for parties. It was a typical high school party bursting with loud music and drugs. The guests were welcomed with a super pumped Amanda and Mollie so that they loose up and enjoy. She turned off the mixer and rushed to the stove to check the steaks. She quickly flipped the steak in the pan, causing a sizzling noise to hiss through the room. Her entire kitchen was a mess right now. Today was Thanksgiving. She had invited Asher over for dinner. This was the first time she had asked someone over. She have been super busy since morning. She started her day with grocery shopping then she cleaned her entire house and dusted the furniture. Even though her house isn't really big, cleaning took all her time. Before she knew it, it was already midday and her hands were hurting. But her enthusiasm was still intact.She had already decided on the menu for tonight. It consists of her and his favorites. Lasagna, pumpkin pie, butter chicken, noodles, and a few more. Her kitchen had never enjoyed so much attention before. Even though she was constantly working since morning, she didn't feel tired even a bit. Her excitement to have dinner with Asher surpassed everything else.
