HIS SECRET

Justin had just alighted from the bus as he takes a look at the bustling city with skyscrapers and luxury cars all around him.

He had just a little Duffel bag as he didn't want to carry along many things which will remind him of his past. 

He walked down the street to the little apartment Desmond his best friend had rented for him. His brain kept going back to the trauma and damage he faced from the terrific break up he witnessed causing his relocation.

He vowed to himself never to be kept as a secret lover or let any man break his heart. As he walked further he stumbled upon a newspaper which stated the CEO of the White Companies is in need of a Personal Assistant and interviews were going on everyday from 8am till noon.

" I just got home and settled down. I am having some coffee now." Justin said to Desmond who was at the other end of the phone.

" Thank you for the clothes and groceries you got for me I'm really grateful." He said almost tearung up and he placed his cup of coffee on the table.

"It's nothing please just take good care of yourself. I'll be there when I finish my mission here. I have to go now be safe." Desmond said from the other end of the call.

Justin set his phone aside and went to the room to look for a suitable and presentable outfit to wear for the interview 

" I hope I get this job. Desmond is doing a lot for me already." He said as he looked through the wardrobe for the best outfit for the interview.

He retired to his bed and laid there for close to 10 minutes just thinking of how far he's come.

" I pray this town bring me positive energy only". He said as he drifted off to sleep.

Justin jumped from the bed and checked the clock beside to see the time was already 7 meaning he had just 1 hour to get ready and be at the White Companies building.

He had a very quick bath and left the house in a hurry as he stood at the road confused if to go left of right.

He was new and didn't want to ask any passers-by. He boarded a cap and told him where he was going to and he was left directly in front of the White Companies building.

He stood there for over 10 seconds marvelled at how huge the building was before running in as he discovered he was left with 15 minutes.

" Where am I even to start from" he stood at the door not knowing whether to go left or right.

" Need any help" a security came towards him.

" Oh yes thank you. I'm here for the interview of personal assistant of the CEO ".

" Okay go straight and take the first bend to your right, you'll see the lift go up to the 20th floor ".

" Thank you so much " he said while running towards the direction indicated.

Once he got into the lift, he began admiring himself through the mirror of the lift as he was clothed in a blue long sleeve shirt and black plants, with well polished shoes.

" I know I'm desperate for this job but I won't let them see this" immediately he said this, the doors of the lift opened revealing the receptionist for that floor.

He walked up to her and told her his reason for being there and she stared at him fork head to toe before leading him towards the waiting area.

He sat there just looking around the office in awe and wondering why he was the only one present for the interview when he head the sound sharp and commanding shoes approaching.

A very tall man with broad shoulders and curly grey hair walked in with a very commanding aura. He held his breath as he instantly felt attracted to him, however he had to maintain his composure as he was here for the job.

Tje man entered an office and the receptionist asked him to go to that door and knock 10 minutes after the man had entered.

He got up adjusted his shirt and picked up his file from the chair and headed to the door knocking it.

He heard a slight come in as he opened the door entering. As he locked the door and turned to face the CEO, he felt the air around him had been sucked out as he was met with the prettiest grey eyes he had ever seen studying him.

He feels something off in the way Drake stares at him but says nothing as he stands in front of the door not saying anything.

" Are you going to stand there all your life?" He heard Drake say as he went and had a sit opposite him. 

" What are you doing here" Drake said not looking up at Justin.

Justin began grinding his teeth but calmed down as he didn't want to spil his chances of getting this interview.

" I'm here for the interview for the post of Personal Assistant." He said rubbing the back of his neck.

" Take all those files at that corner and arrange them in the shelves as they are supposed to be" Drake said typing on his laptop.

Justin who got up to go and being the work assigned to him was taken back by Drake's words.

" You don't move until I ask you to" 

"Yes daddy..oh sorry yes sir" a smile spread across Drake's face but he immediately concealed it and looked at Justin very fierce. " I have a meeting at 10 with the my share holders prepare the files". 

Justin sat there face blank as he didn't know whether to go and start his task oh not. While he was deep in his thoughts, he heard Drake say " you can start now"

He got up and went to start with the shelves. While working he could feel Drake's gaze on him from time to time.

"Urrgghh what an annoying man" he grumbled to himself.

Drake sat at his desk unable to concentrate at what he was doing as the tension in the room didn't go unnoticed to him. For some reason he felt so much attracted to Justin the moment he saw him sitting outside at the waiting area. 

" I'm done and here are the things you'll be needing for your meeting" Drake casually pointed at the table for him to drop the documents.

" Cancel the meeting I'm not having it anymore" Justin gritted his teeth as he heard Drake say meaning all his work had been in vain.

Just as Justin was clenching his fists to suppress the frustration in him and not show Drake how desperate he was, he heard Drake speak which brought him out of his thoughts.

" Someone looks upset " Drake said in a smooth but taunting voice leaning on his office chair looking at Justin taking note of everything single thing on his body.

"I spent over an hour working on that meeting and you just casually cancel it that way? Is that why you don't have any P.A?" Justin said as he lost control, his anger having the best of him

A smirked played on Drake's lips as he was loving the banter " a sharp tongue you have there, you just be very brave you just passed the test." He said concentrating back on his laptop.

Justin's eyes widened as he looked at Drake a smile forming on his lips. "Are you saying I got the job?"

Drake stoped what he was doing and stood up, walking towards Justin with slow steps. When he was almost infront of Justin, he stopped and stared at Justin with an unreadable expression.

"No," he said as he moved past Justin opening the door.

" Sorry, what did you say?" Justin said as sweat drops began forming on his face.

Drake indicated with his hands for Justin to leave as his to his receptionist. " Next candidate"

Justin froze at the spot and his heart stopped Next candidate?
