CHAPTER 13

Shane

"Shane I got something!" Cameron yelled as soon as he entered my study with a serious look on his face.

"What?" He nods at me to follow him and I did. We entered the security room where our computers that monitor our security camera's around the main house are located, and I saw Toby and Jackson were already in the room.

"Whats going on?" I demanded to know and Cameron held up a finger for me to be quiet while lifting up a cellphone and handing it over to me.

I frowned in confusion while taking the phone from him and glanced at it.

"Talk, drake's on the line." Jackson mouthed to me from the other side of the room and I narrowed my eyes and clutched the phone tightly in my hands.

"Drake." I stated and heard a string of curses being released from the other side of the line.

"Ryder you son of a bitch! I knew it was you all along. Where is my daughter?" I chuckled loudly.

"Now now drakey boy, that's no way to greet me. Your daughter is fine but how are you? How are you holding up?" I asked back in mock concern.

"Fuck you Ryder! Cut the bullshit, just tell me where my daughter is and what do you want in return?" I rolled my eyes at nothing at particular.

"Yeah I'm not that stupid to tell you yet drake. And what I want in return? Are you sure that you can afford it? I mean, its a lot to ask." I heard him sigh.

"Well then what do you want?! Money? Guns? Girls? Drugs?" I shook my head in disbelief. This guy seriously needs help cos he doesn't know who's he talking to right now.

"Your life drake." I said and heard silence from the other side.

"Your life in exchange for your daughter. That's all I need."

"I'm not discussing this over the phone with you Ryder, and you know where to find me so be here at 8pm sharp." He ended the call and I threw the phone against the wall where it shattered apart.

"I got his location. He's staying at some house in Pentagon street." Cameron quickly informed while typing furiously on the computer's keyboard while his eyes are glued to the screen.

Fine. If drake parish wants to talk, then I'll give him a talk.

*********

Two bodyguards walked by my side as we entered the property where drake was hiding out all this time. His men guards every corner of the house with rifles hanging off their arms and they all watched us with caution when we stepped out of the car.

One of his men leads us inside and he stopped walking when we reached a door and he knocked on it once, before opening it.

I walked in and saw him sitting at the couch located in the room while smoking away.

"Ryder." He greeted.

"Drake." I acknowledged back and he nods for me to sit. I sat down in front of him and signaled to my guards to stand from behind me.

"Lets get to the point shall we? You want to kill me, in return you'll let my daughter go?" He asked while tapping his cigarette that he held between his pointer finger and middle finger.

"Simple as that." I replied back while nodding at him and he chuckled.

"Yeah that's not gonna happen. You do realize that you're in my property right now filled with armed men that's on my side who can take you out in seconds if you pulled out a gun at me?" I smirked back.

"Are you threatening me drake?" He shook his head while blowing out a puff of smoke.

"Just clearly pointing things out." I nod my head while leaning forward and giving him a cold stare.

"I can kill you myself right now but I decided not to. Why may you ask? Your daughter is stuck with me right now and there's no way you can help in getting her back unless you sacrifice your life for her." He glared at me.

"Lets see if you're still human. Give up everything and your life for your daughter to be free from me." He glanced away from me and released a deep sigh.

"Is that all you want in exchange rider? My life?" He asked while chuckling. A sudden idea popped into my head and I sent him a devilish smile that stopped his chuckling immediately.

"If you don't wanna die for your daughter to live then I'll kill her instead." He sat up straight on the couch instantly.

"Don't you dare hurt my daughter!" I chuckled and leaned back on the couch and smiled evilly at him.

"Its easy drake, all you have to do is die and everything will be fine and your daughter gets to live, simple as that. But if you're not gonna let me kill you then you're simply giving me a chance to kill your daughter instead." He clutched his hair and bowed his head down.

Gotcha. I got him at where I need him to be

"I'm not letting you hurt my daughter. I'm not letting you take her away from me forever!" He yelled while slamming both hands on the coffee table in between us.

"There is one way of course." He snapped his head up and looked at me with confusion and a little bit hint of relief shown on his face.

"There is?" He asked in a almost desperate tone.

"I'll make you a deal." He frowned at me.

"What kind of deal?" I leaned forward again and stared at him while smiling.

"I get to keep her and make her part of my mafia, in return to pay for all the troubles and problems you've caused me and to also spare yours and her life." He kept staring at me.

"Its a better offer drake. You both get to live while I get to keep her forever to pay for your wrong deeds." He shook his head furiously.

"Hell no! I'm not selling my one and only daughter away to you monster!" I clicked my tongue in fake disappointment.

"Well then, start preparing for your daughter's funeral and yours as well." I stood up and nod at my guards to escort me out of here.

"Nice catching up with you drakey. Say hi to Satan for me will you?" I asked mockingly and started walking towards the door.

"Wait!" He called out and I stopped right on the doorway. I smiled knowingly and turned around and saw him standing up with a defeated look on his face.

"Only if you don't hurt or touch her and I get to see her whenever I want?" I shrugged.

"I don't know about the seeing each other part but that can be arranged. Oh and also, you get to stop messing with me and my mafia and my business got it?! One wrong move drake, your daughter is dead."

I caught his fists tightly clenched by his side.

"Fine! Just don't touch or hurt my daughter and I get to see her whenever I want." I folded my arms across my chest and nods at him.

"You got it." He sighed after a full minute has passed and he bowed his head down, looking at the floor.

"Where do I sign?" I smirked.

He's about to sign his daughter's life over to me and she will belong to me forever. And there's no way she will get out of this arranged deal alive. She has no idea, that I own her now and the things she's about to learn soon from me, will change her life forever.
