THIRTY FOUR

Avelyn felt the sun was shining brighter today in Panama. She almost squealed with joy when she woke up to find Elvis sleeping next to her, hugging her possessively. She rubbed the top of Elvis's head slowly, but didn't hope to wake him up. From Elvis's face, Avelyn found many streaks of fatigue which made her worried. She was afraid that Elvis's disease would recur because the man was too tired.

Seeing Elvis, Avelyn remembered her promise with Lean yesterday. They will have breakfast together at nine at The Paradise. But now all their plans are impossible because Elvis has returned. Her fun time with Lean ended last night. How grateful she was that Elvis had returned and that she would be back on the right track. She felt a blur of orientation during her time with Lean.
