Chapter 41

Grace and I get summoned

After Asmodeus tapped his amulet Lucifer appeared immediately wondering what was so urgent. After we explained what had occurred he pulled Grace over and asked about Jim and his mother. He wanted to know who she was and where she flew in from and what she had said that made Jim call off the wedding. After what she told him Lucifer concludes that she must be a vodú priestess and knowledgeable about demon summoning. I furrowed my brow not familiar with any of this weird shit. I looked at Grace and shook my head.

"Nothing but trouble woman," I mumbled sarcastically and my father tapped the back of my head and told me to be nice to my new mother.

"Gross pops, I've got children from her and I refuse to call my baby momma my mother," I growled bitterly and they all laughed. At least until Grace and I were starting to look faded. I felt queasy and my insides hurt. Lucifer yelled out that we were being summoned when everything around me went black and I blinked my eye
