ch. 13 | QUESTION OF VOID

Morning came in quickly, as if I had just slept seconds ago. I tried to get up, but the sharp jolt of pain in my brain and body instigated me to lie down again.

I hissed in pain as I slowly sat up, groaning. My cheeks heat up as I remember what had just happened last night.

"Yeah, I'm fucked up." I facepalmed my face, and when I meant that, I meant it literally.

Entering the bathroom, my mind went flying as I almost dozed off while brushing my teeth.

Minutes passed, and I went out of my room, only to see Leo leaning against the wall beside my door, his arms crossed as his head lazily turned to me.

"Um, hi? Morning?" I greeted.

Leo scoffed as he leaned his head on the wall, avoiding my gaze until he spoke. "Stop acting clueless. I've been calling you for a certain order for the whole night, and it's urgent, but you're nowhere to be found. One employee informed me you went to Lorenzo's office. What happened?"
