05.

Sierra was sad when Nora acted the way she did. The feeling you get after being rejected and betrayed. But she still had hopes.

She felt she was just tired after a long journey. As she was deep in thought, Sierra suddenly remembered Zeke.

She hissed, "That jerk. He was obviously trying to flirt with Nora. He is an asshole and I think I need to warn him."

She was so tired after the party. She was living the life of a princess you have to smile even when you don't want to. Sierra decided to go look for Zeke outside. She wondered how they were going to live together.

"Oh God."

She was distracted and collided into someone. When she looked up, the other party turned out to be Zeke.

Sierra's expression soured. He had this devilish smirk on his face.

How she wished she could rip it off his face.

Zeke looked at Sierra surprised to see her. He had been looking around for her and her friend. But, they had been no show.

She looked cute but angry. He had no idea why she was angry.

But, who cares? Anyways she's always angry.

"Hey."

He said to her but she did not reply. She was lost in thought as always. Zeke hissed and snapped his fingers at her till she jerked.

He clicked his tongue. "So absent minded."

Sierra was lost thinking about Nora's attitude which she found very confusing and suspicious at the same time.

"You... Are you stalking me or what?" She asked as she looked at Zeke. She furrowed her brows in disgruntlement. His face always pissed her off.

"You wish." he said looking around like he was trying to locate someone.

"Looking for Nora, huh?" Sierra snorted. "You jerk. You can flirt with other girls but not with my best friend Nora. I would not tolerate such rude behavior right in my presence."

Zeke didn't reply. Instead, he scoffed loudly with no remorse on his face. Sierra had never been this pissed with anyone in her life before.

She left his presence without waiting for a response. When she got to her room, she locked the door.

"I still can't believe Father set me up with an asshole like Zeke," she cursed in distaste.

Situations like that made her miss her mother a lot. She would have been able to understand.

THE NEXT MORNING

The sun ray hit her face as she woke up that morning. She woke up with happiness tingling in her tummy. She was going to talk to Nora today.

She was so happy that she took her bath faster than she had always done.

After taking her bath, her nanny, Ms. Bailey was drying her hair.

"You have such beautiful hair. Just like your mom's," she said.

Upon hearing her mom's name, Sierra's heart felt heavy. But she managed to reply her.

"Father always said I looked exactly like mom," she said chuckling trying to resist crying.

Ms. Bailey had been her nanny since she was young. She had always been a mother figure in her life and she felt she could tell her anything. She was also good at giving advices.

After dressing up in a pair of joggers and crop top, she decided to go to Nora's room. Then they would head to the dining table together.

"Good morning," Sierra shouted with a smile immediately she entered her room.

Nora was startled and she quickly closed her laptop and walked towards her. Sierra hugged her so tightly immediately she got to her.

"We're going to have a lot of fun today," she said excitedly.

"Good morning, Sierra." Nora answered in an indifferent tone.

"What happened?" Sierra could not help but ask. She was vividly confused. "I noticed you have being acting strangely since u came yesterday. Are you not happy to see me?"

Nora's lips tightened. She touched her hair and tried to force a smile.

Nora didn't know what to say. One should not trust anyone. Especially when one was in a high position like Sierra's.

Her only mistake in life was trusting someone, She knew Sierra trusted her and she was about to break it. Nora almost teared up again but stopped just before the tear dropped.

"You are looking so beautiful this morning" she complimented, changing the topic.

Her words immediately got Sierra beaming as she twirled for her.

Sierra smiled. "It has been long since we saw each other so we have to enjoy ourselves now that we are together."

"Let's go somewhere interesting." Nora said trying to get her mind away from the fact that she was acting strange.

Sierra was so happy when Nora started talking. All of a sudden, her tummy growled and it was loud enough for Nora to hear.

"God" Sierra exclaimed, covering her face with her palms in embarrassment.

. Nora laughed out making her even more embarrassed.

"Looks like someone is hungry"she said, bumping her shoulder.

Everyone who knew Sierra knew she liked eating and was a foodie. The only notable point was that she never got weighty or fat despite eating so much.

She pulled Nora's hand and they both went to the dining table. There were many foods and drinks arranged by her father to celebrate Nora's welcome.

She took a slice of the cake and shoved some into Nora's mouth and ate the rest.

"What do you think?"Sierra asked staring at Nora.

"It's okay" she replied and started eating.

Sierra turned to the chef. She had to commend her. The cake was too delicious and deserved praise.

"This cake is so nice and fluffy. I love it"

"Thanks ma'am"she answered shyly. She seemed pleased to hear my praise.

Sierra nodded and continued eating. She also looked around distinctly. She hadn't seen her father.
