Ava sighed hard as she reached for popcorn in the large bowl she was holding. Before her was the new large TV screen Ryan recently installed for her to watch whatever she pleased in the living room.

After that incident with Philip and the sudden death of his father, he strictly forbade her from returning to the company until he sorts things out by himself.

In the last couple of days, she has barely seen him. He always came home late and left before she could wake up.

As soon as the movie ended, she turned her head to the man on black standing at a distance away from her.

“Where is my husband?”

“He's out for work, ma'am. Don't worry.” The guard said softly with a small bow.

She groaned a little throwing her head back to the couch.

“How long does he intend to make me stay here? I'm getting fat just sitting at home and doing nothing all day.” She complained and turned her head back to the TV.

A new movie was about to start.
