Jace’s POV

After dialling Lisa a couple of times and still couldn't reach her, I headed for my car parked a block away.

The watch on my wrist read 8:40PM, and Lisa still hadn’t shown up.

My gut twisted and a nagging unease gnawed at me.

My mind raced with every worst-case scenario—Hana’s goons. She was a threat I couldn’t shake.

I yanked open the car door, sliding into the driver’s seat and pulled out my phone again, dialing Lisa’s number for what felt like the hundredth time.

“Come on, pick up,” I muttered tightly, my thumb tapping the steering wheel as the line rang—once, twice, then straight to voicemail.

I ended the call, running a hand through my hair

Something was wrong. She wouldn’t just ghost me, not after that attack, not after I’d promised her answers about who was behind it.

My chest tightened, a mix of worry and frustration bubbling up. I couldn’t sit here doing nothing.

I scrolled through my contacts, landing on Blyke—my old mate from the tech side of Wilder Venture

  • He Divorced Me, I Marry A Bigger Billionaire!   Chapter 54

Aaliyah’s POVI staggered to my feet despite my weakness and I lunged at Aurora, willing to fight even though I had no strength at all.I stretched out to snatch the phone from her.“Give me that!” I yelled, my voice cracking with fury and fear. My fingers brushed the edge of the device before she sidestepped, her wicked laugh echoing in the room.“Nice try, sis,” She sneered, dancing back with a grace that made my stomach churn. Her red dress swished as she twirled the phone tauntingly. “You think you can stop me? Look at you—pathetic. This video’s going to trend, Aaliyah. The world’s gonna see the mighty Aaliyah Hayes for the whore she is.”“Stop it, Aurora!” I shouted, my hands balling into fists by my side. “Why are you doing this? What did I ever do to you? We were sisters—twins! How can you hate me this much?”She tilted her head, her blue eyes glinting with malice.“Oh, Aaliyah, you’re so naive. Or have you forgotten? Already? Did you really think I’d let you prance around

Aaliyah’s POVIt was 2:11 PM, the clock on the wall ticked gently, and I sat in the cushioned armchair by the window, cradling Elias in my arms. My son, my tiny miracle. His blonde curls were damp with tears, his blue eyes squeezed shut as he wailed, a high, desperate sound that tugged at my heart. The room was a fragile bubble of light and quiet, the transparent walls offering a breathtaking view of New York City’s skyline—glittering towers piercing the late afternoon sky, a soft haze settling over the streets below. “Shh, my sweet boy,” I murmured softly, trembling with exhaustion but laced with love. I adjusted him against my chest, guiding him to my breast, wincing as he latched on. His tiny mouth sucked hungrily. The pain was sharp at first, a reminder of how new this all was, but it faded into a dull throb as I began to sing a lullaby. My mother used to hum it alot when I was little so it stuck to me.“Hush little baby, don’t you cry, Mama’s gonna sing you a lullaby…” My vo

Lisa’s POVKaito’s confession sliced through my anger like a blade through silk. “I love you, Lisa. I fell for you that night we went out, when I saw how bright you are, how alive. You're a contradiction of my world. I had never felt that before, and I couldn’t let it go.” His dark eyes locked on mine, glistening with a desperation that made my chest ache, my resolve fraying despite the fury still burning in my veins. The living room of this strange, cedar-scented house felt too small, the dim lights casting shadows that danced across his face, his bleeding lip a stark reminder of my bite, my defiance. I hated him.Hated his lies, the chaos he's involved in, the way he’d dragged me here—but his voice, his gaze, stirred something deep, something I’d buried the very day Hana’s truth shattered me.“Stop it, Kaito,” my hands clenched at my sides. “You don’t get to say that. You don’t get to love me now. You think words fix this?”He stepped closer, his breath uneven and his hair fall

  • He Divorced Me, I Marry A Bigger Billionaire!   Chapter 51

Lisa’s POVThe rain had finally stopped, but the streets of London gleamed wet under the streetlights, reflecting my fractured thoughts as I sat in my car, hands gripping the steering wheel. My shoulder throbbed beneath the bandage, a dull ache from the knife graze yesterday. But it was nothing compared to the storm in my chest. I was on my way to see Jace at the Café he asked us to meet at. Though there was a high chance he might not be there anymore.I glanced at the time again: 9.00 PM.I had mistaken the time he said for 9 PM when it was actually 8 PM. Now that I had gotten half way, I realised I left my phone at home.I sighed. Well if it turns out he've left already, does it make much of a difference?I knew for certain now that Hana sent the attacker. I remembered his voice, the way he spoke. He certainly had a Japanese accent which was fading.I was sure of it.I was almost murdered for a man I wanted nothing to do with anymore. My fingers brushed Mom’s star pendant at my n

  • He Divorced Me, I Marry A Bigger Billionaire!   Chapter 50

Jace’s POVThe café across from a small white clinic I had taken Lisa to, was a dim, cozy spot, all worn wooden tables and the faint hiss of a machine. I leaned back in a corner booth, my boots propped on the empty seat across, my eyes flicking between the door and the rain-streaked window. My fingers drummed the table as I waited for Lisa. It was 7:20 PM, and my gut churned with what I had to tell her. That tattoo on the attacker’s hand, a coiled dragon I’d seen on one of Hana’s family’s enforcers years ago in Tokyo. Hana Tanaka had sent that thug to hurt Lisa. The thought made my blood boil. Lisa didn’t deserve this mess, not after Kaito’s lies, not after everything. My phone buzzed, a text from Kaito: “Meet me now. Bar on King’s Road. It's urgent.”I cursed under my breath, glancing at my watch. Lisa was due in forty minutes, but Kaito’s timing was never accidental. He’d been blowing up my phone since the gala, asking about Lisa, and asking me to “explain” his side. The nerve
