Dante

A loud bang on my door jolted me awake. My heart was pounding like it might stop any second. I sat up trying to catch my breath.

“Hey, new guy. C’mon, open the door,” a familiar voice called from the other side. It was Mateo.

I sighed, half annoyed and half relieved. What a nuisance.

I lazily dragged myself to the door and opened it.

“You aren’t dressed yet?” he scoffed as he scanned me from head to toe.

“Dressed for whatI asked yawning loudly.

“The party, dummy.”

I know I said I wanted to attend the party earlier, but now I’m having a second thought on that. I wanted to return to my sleep.

“The thing is…” I started but was immediately cut short by him. He nudged me on my shoulder letting himself in.

“No excuses, Dante. You don’t have to sulk yourself in the room forever. You need some social experience.” He walked to my closet and started throwing my clothes unceremoniously on the bed. I grunted in frustration as I watched him. He suddenly stopped at turned to look at me with disgust written all over his face, and a black turtle neck top and a pair of pants in his hand.

“Dude, what are you? A nerd? You need to work on your closet,” he bluffed rolling his eyes, “Here, wear this.”

I sighed in frustration and walked into the bathroom to change. Don’t blame me, I’m a shy person and can’t possibly expose myself in front of him.

When I was finally done, we made our way to the party venue. When we got there, the first thing that hit me was the loud music. It pulsed through the air and vibrated through the floor. I saw a few guys gather around a girl while she twerked. They were cheering for her.

As a bum lover, I think I’m going to give her a ten out of ten.

We walked into the entrance and were led by a girl to a small room. It was some sort of VIP, which made me start to view Mateo as the life of the party. Everyone around seems to know him. I saw him earlier as someone whose life revolves around the school, but I was wrong.

Opposite the room we were in, I saw two guys kissing and slashing tongues together.

Trust me; I have nothing against the LGBTQ₊ community, as long as they have nothing to do with me. While coming here, I saw girls getting down and dirty on each other. It was a pleasant show to behold and I low-key wanted to join them as well.

But watching these two guys like they were doing now? Watching them explore and touch each other like that? I think I’m gonna pass. It has never been my thing. Maybe that’s because it makes me feel uncomfortable.

But why? Why can’t I keep my eyes off them?

“Dude, you are beginning to stare too much and it’s getting creepy,” Mateo called, giving me a gentle shove on my shoulder.

“Huh,” it took me a while to realize that I had indeed been staring at them.

The door to the room was widely opened, probably because they cared less or maybe didn’t realize the door was still open because they were both backing us.

“I’m not staring,” I cleared my throat, adjusting my cloth around my neck.

“Mmhm!”

A rough husky moan made me freeze. It was coming from the opposite room. Curiosity got the best of me as I turned to know who it was coming from, but all I could see was a manly figure holding the waist of the other guy as he was pounding deeply into him from behind.

He was putting on a watch that I know I have only seen somewhere, but can’t place my fingers on where exactly.

Honestly, I didn’t quite understand why my heart was beating so fast as I stared at them. The back-and-forth movement was intense.

“Shit,” I cursed when I felt someone touch me on my shoulder.

It was a stripper. Mateo must have brought them in but I wasn’t relieved when they walked into the room. The lady walked to my front and bent to unzip my pants. Maybe that’s what I needed to take my mind off those guys. I threw my head against the chair as I closed my eyes to feel every blissful moment the hot lady was giving to me.

She is good at this job. I let out a soft moan when she did a magic thing with her tongue on me.

Just as I was about to climax, I was brought back to reality when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. The screen lit up to my Mom’s face as the ID.

“Who’s calling?” the hot lady asked, but I gave her no reply. She doesn’t need to know.

I gently nudged her to continue what she was doing.

I turned to find Mateo riding on the other stripper. The one I was with must have felt left out as she tried to let me into her honey pot. I gently declined and zipped myself back up. I’m always extra careful when it comes to penetration. I don’t go in without protection. The lady also adjusted herself and said, “No refunds.”

For someone who didn’t know that the whole thing was already paid for, I simply nodded and walked to the mini bar in the room to grab a drink. I took out my phone to text my mom but changed my mind and started going through my I*******m. My girlfriend’s message popped up and I immediately rushed to know what she had dropped.

It was a view-once video with a ‘watch when alone’ description.

I smiled to myself, already knowing what the message meant, and dropped a heart emoji for her.

My mind went back to Mateo and I saw him snoring on the couch. He was completely wasted and had his head at an awkward angle and his mouth wide open. Not to mention the fact that he was drooling as well. I checked the time and it was the dorm’s curfew time. It’s still my first day in school and I wouldn’t like to be breaking any rules. It’s a good thing the party venue wasn’t far from my dorm but that was only with a taxi.

“Fuck, you are heavy,” I groaned, not wanting to be the one to carry him to his dorm. I didn’t even know his dorm. I tried carrying him up but stopped when a female voice spoke. It was one of the strippers.

“You don’t have to worry about that, someone is coming to pick him up.”

I groaned in frustration, gently dropped him back, and made my way out of the party. The party was still booming loudly and people were still dancing and cheering.

It was a ten-minute ride back to my dorm, and thank goodness I arrived on time. I made my way straight to my room but was met with a bizarre scene. My room was wide open. Someone must have come to steal my stuff.

  • He Is Mine   CHAPTER 98

Dante's POV“The hell is this?”I opened my locker and froze. There it was.A brown paper bag sitting neatly inside, the top folded once, like someone had taken their time with it. It smelled fresh and sweet, like something straight out of an oven.Cookies. Still soft, still slightly warm against my fingertips when I touched the bag. For a split second, I just stood there, heart ticking unevenly in my chest. What the hell was this? There was a small note, barely the size of my palm, tucked just underneath the edge. I pulled it out, half expecting a message, maybe a joke, a dare, a threat. But there was only a heart.Drawn in red ink.No words. No name.I looked around the locker room instinctively, though it was empty. Just the low buzz of overhead lights and the distant splash of someone already warming up in the pool.I did not know what to do with it. My instincts flared, both wary and touched.I mean, who did this?Who knew that I liked these type of cookies? My brain tried to cal

  • He Is Mine   CHAPTER 97

Asher’s POV“Calm your balls! I'm almost done.” I said into the phone as I tossed it into my bag. Heaving a huge sigh of relief. I was stressed from a hectic day. Maybe next time I wouldn't join so much teams in the school.Lily was waiting for me outside the training hall, arms folded and eyes searching mine like she was trying to read something I had not written. The sun which was beginning to go down cast gold across her face, softening her features, but even the light could not be a distraction from the tension swirling between us.“Asher,” she said, her voice too even. “We need to talk.”I already knew what she was going to say. And I was already too tired to pretend.“Hey,” I murmured, pushing my hands into my jacket pockets and stepping past her toward the campus path. She followed, quickening her pace to stay by my side. “After the first date at the lake, you have just discarded me, is that what it is?”Oh goddess, feminine drama is the last thing I need right now. I shook my

  • He Is Mine   CHAPTER 96

Dante’s POVMy chest collapsed when I heard her voice crack over the phone.“My dad’s job…he is being transferred, Dante.”That was it. That was all it took. Fifteen seconds of whispered explanation, and the world I had struggled to build, our world, crumbled.I dropped onto my bed, phone clutched in my hand. I could still feel the weight of her words, a physical ache in my lungs. “I don’t want you to go,” I hiccupped, voice raw. “Don’t do this to me.”I couldn’t hear if she cried. There was a swallowing sound, and I heard her inhale softly. A breath I would never forget. “I have to, Dante. It is… important.”Important. Like what we felt did not matter, what we cooked up, just sour. The silence stretched. I closed my eyes, trying to push down the tears. The tears I had denied for so long because there was too much else, too much messy grief already in my heart.“I will… I will come visit?” I managed. She exhaled. “You can, but it’s far. It’s… different. I am sorry.” That word echoed.

  • He Is Mine   CHAPTER 95

Dante's POVI wake up earlier than usual, I turned and shut off my alarm before it rang I stared at my dorm window. I stare at the ceiling for a long time, trying to make my body to move, to start the day, to forget about the previous day. But forgetting isn’t something that comes easy lately. Especially not with a certain dick tattooed into my memory. I groan and throw the blanket off, already mentally preparing for the day. I have classes back-to-back. That is on purpose. I rearranged my schedule last week, shifting everything around so that there was less chance I would run into him, Asher.Just thinking his name sends a shockwave through my body. It is just ridiculous. Infuriating. I splash cold water on my face and stare at my reflection in the mirror, trying to breathe, trying to center myself. "You're fine. You're normal. You're with Nora."I keep repeating it like a poem, hoping it will root deeper into my reality. I'm with Nora. She's beautiful. She's sweet. She's everything

  • He Is Mine   CHAPTER 94

Asher's POV“The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.”That was the thought that kept running on a loop in my head, like some shitty breakup advice meme from the internet, except I was not even technically in a relationship. And yet, here I was, nursing a twisted kind of heartbreak over a guy who wasn’t mine. Over Dante.Dean, my wolf, growled in the back of my mind. This is a bad idea."I do not need your input right now," I muttered under my breath.I was sitting in Advanced Combat Theory, pretending to take notes while my eyes scanned the room. I needed a distraction. Something pretty. Easy. Human, preferably. No strings. No sparks. No ghosts of him whispering in the shadows of my chest. Then I saw her.Lily Turner. Long brown hair, soft body, full lips, legs for days. She was sitting a few rows ahead, laughing at something her friend whispered. Her laugh was a little too high-pitched, but it was perfect for what I needed, a hollow sound that didn’t echo in my

  • He Is Mine   CHAPTER 93

Dante’s POVIt was almost midnight by the time I and Nora reached home. The night air was thick, too heavy with things unsaid, and my head had not stopped spinning since we left the lake. The image of Asher kissing that girl replayed in my mind like a cruel loop. His hands on her hips, her mouth open against his, it should not have bothered me this much, but it did. It bothered me like a splinter under skin, impossible to ignore no matter how small.Nora hadn't tried to say much since the incident. I’d grabbed her too roughly, pulled her away too fast. I’d seen the confusion in her eyes, the way she kept glancing sideways at me like she didn’t know who she was walking beside anymore.I did this.I knew that.I needed to fix it.Her apartment was quiet, warm, safe. The moment we stepped inside, she turned to say something, but I silenced her with a kiss. I did not want words. I didn’t trust mine. She responded slowly, her lips cautious against mine. But the longer I held her, the more
