Mateo's pov

I rushed to the door once the doorbell rang, caring less about finding out who was on the other side. Of course, it should be the deliveryman. It's been forty-nine minutes since I sent her out.

"This is your order, sir," the man said as he handed a nylon bag over to me. I didn't hesitate to collect it and slam the door in his face. Coke and pizza? Will that even be able to satisfy my hunger right now?

I took my meal to the sitting room, but before I could devour it, my phone rang. I hissed and ignored whomever it was that had to interfere with my tiny meal. I opened the pizza and took out one cut.

My phone won't stop buzzing, and the annoying part is that the caller ID is not showing anyone at all. I ignored it for the fifth time, and the pizza was pretty delicious. Exactly how I loved it Within twenty minutes, I was done with the food. I'd better call them snacks since I am not feeling them yet. It just cured the rumbling in my stomach, not in any way my hunger.
