The long-haul flight, which lasted approximately four hours from Manila to Jeju, was smooth and serene. Flight attendants were polite and discreet, serving a course meal fit for royalty. After landing swiftly at Jeju International Airport, Rhea and Lucas were welcomed by the crisp sea breeze and the faint scent of pine in the air. They walked side by side through the nature-rich, tranquil terminal, where a black luxury car was already waiting for them outside.

“This air feels fresh and clean,” Rhea said, her eyes lighting up as she took in the scenic surroundings. Excitement bubbled in her chest. This was her first time in Korea, and not just anywhere in Korea, but Jeju Island, the dreamy paradise she’d only seen in K-dramas.

Her eyes widened as she looked around. “Oh my gosh! There are so many Koreans!” She blurted out, bouncing like a child on a sugar high.

Lucas rolled his eyes and smacked her lightly on the head. “Obviously. We’re in Korea. Of course, there are Koreans, stupid.”
