Wow, that........ Was unexpected. It not like it was unheard of a girl proposing to the one they love, it was just that, he didn't expect this.

she even tied a ribbon around her head just to show him she was his birthday present. That day, he laughed his ass out! Finding it funny.

"I was so shocked. In this disbelief! But then it was so funny! I laughed out a few seconds late! I really couldn't stop laughing I tell you" Tae Jin said, laughing but he couldn't bring himself to fake a smile!

He didn't find it funny.

He couldn't laugh.

He was so........ devastated! 

And.......why did his heart hurt so much? Why was he so angry? This wasn't the first time. Every time he's reminded of not having all of Tae Jin's attention, heart and mind, this happens.

Why?

Could it be...... Could it be.....he was jealous of Tae Jin?

Of losing him to Shin Hye?

Outside a closed restaurant in the same area Sung Yoon's house was, sat Sung Yoon with no other than old man Chang. One can say, he was her friend despite their age difference.

Old man Chang had gray hair and brown eyes. One look and you're know he was far older than Sung Yoon.

And he was.

The man was around 60 and he was a ghost just like her. She met and befriended him on the very day she found out about the creepy prevert who used to follow the old woman Hae Jin was searching for.

He wasn't the one who gave her the information (About the creepy ghost who used to follow the old woman around) though.

She got the information from a young lady who wanders around the neighborhood for some reason.

Sung Yoon didn't know anything about the young lady but judging by the information (About the creepy ghost who used to follow the old woman twelve years ago) she gave her, she believe she died a long time ago.

Old man Chang lived a few blocks away from the house (The one Hae Jin was trapped in)

It was his house she headed to with the cake and drinks the night before Tae Jin's birthday.

The old man lived with his son and his daughter-in-law and since they've travelled and won't be back until next month, the man agreed to accept the cake and the drinks into the refrigerator in the house.

She still hasn't thanked him yet for that favor.

Actually, she was going to. She decided to get Tae Jin's birthday gift and thank him as well.

However, that didn't happen. She didn't even get close to the man's house.

*Sigh,

She was in an awful mood and it was so worst because she couldn't even smile, feel happy on meeting old man Chang again.

 "Are you ready to talk now?" The man asked and she looked at him, meeting a smile on his face.

Sung Yoon might not have it in her to feel happy but she was still grateful she met him.

While she was crying, venting out her frustrations, anger and sadness, the man stayed by her side.

Comforting her.

She wasn't feeling a little better but it would rude not to share why she was in an awful mood right?

*Sigh, she sighed again.

............come to think of it,......... It was a long distance away from here to his house.

So,.........what was he doing here?

"What are you doing here?" She asked curiously and the man answered, "Well,......I came to see off a ghost friend of mine. He lives around here. I was on my way back when I saw you"

Ahh, that's understandable. 

Right, 

Sung Yoon thought as she remembered one more thing,

"By the way, I never got the chance to thank you for the favor" The man chuckled, saying, "Oh, is nothing"

"Now, are you ready to tell me why you were crying?"

Right. They still had to talk about that.

"My parents......they died because of me. They couldn't get over my death"

So,........that was why.......... Maybe now was a good time to share his story as well.

"You know, I died the same way. I couldn't get over my wife's death either. The pain, sadness, frustrations.... It was just too much for me to handle"

Her parents went through the same, didn't they? She asked herself. Right after, a question poped in mind and she decided to ask.

"Why haven't you crossed over yet?" There was four reasons (First reason, the person who died had no memories of how they died or their past life. Second reason, it wasn't the person's time to died when they did. Third reason, the person who died had an unfinished business to settle. Lastly, the four reason, the person who died have no desire of crossing over) after all and she was curious to know which reason it was that he was still here, in this world.

"Because is not yet my time to crossover " Old man Chang believe. 

Well, she guess he falls under the second reason. Since it wasn't his time to die when he did, he couldn't cross over until it was the right time he was supposed to die. 

Yes, he will only cross over when its the right time he was supposed to die.

*Sigh, what a complicating life they were living.

"I died two weeks after my wife did" the man said, gaining her attention.

"I wasn't there for my son while he was also grieving (When his wife died). Moreover, I died, causing him more pain. That's why am with him and I will continue to be with him until is my time to leave"

"I see"

Sung Yoon never asked about himself (When she first met him) or why he was still here because she felt it wasn't right to ask.

However now, she was glad he shared his story with her.

"What I want to say is, it wasn't your fault your parents died. There is nothing we can do about it. But you'll have to move on. Do all the things they couldn't for your other family members"

*Sigh, the man sighed sadly in mind.

It wasn't easy getting over the death of a love one. He knew this. But if only they (He included himself with Sung Yoon's parents) stood strong and decided to live and keep the memories alive, maybe... Just maybe, they'll still be alive, right?

"I only have my brother" Sung Yoon said sadly, lowing down her head.

From what she knew, both her father and mother were orphans. They used to live in the same orphanage, craving for the one thing they never had.

Family.

That was it.

After talking and getting to know each other, the one thing they both craved for, they become best friends and as time went on, they fell in love with each other and they decided to get marry.

Start their family.

Achieve the one thing they never had.

Their dream, their heart desire.

They decided to create their own family.

Sung Yoon smiled sadly.

She remembered, what her dad said.

'Destined as orphans wasn't bad because I got to meet your mother. Maybe if I wasn't born as an orphan, I would have never gotten to meet your mother. There's a reason and good in every misfortune in this world. And if we're patient enough, we might reap the good in it. See, I got to meet your mother and if am born as an orphan again, I'll not complain, as long as I get to meet your mother again' 

That's her father's words, that day when she asked, if he didn't feel bad for not having any other family besides them.

"See? You have someone you can to protect, take care of. Do that"

Sung Yoon came out of her trace on hearing the man's voice and words, sighing sadly, she said, "That was my plan. Until I heard my parents died because of me. I'm afraid to go back. What if my brother blames me for their death? I won't be able to handle"

"But you still have to go back. Be there for him. Take care of him. Make sure he's okay, in good health, doing fine in life before you cross over"

*Sigh, Sung Yoon sighed again.

"No? you don't want to have any regrets when you cross over right?"

No, she did not want to have any regrets.

And she will everything just so it doesn't happen.

Even if Sung Hoon pushes her away, she will still come back.

"I'm leaving Hae Jin's house" Sung Yoon said, smiling as she decided.

Turning to look at the old man, she met a horrified look on his face.

"What's wrong?"

"Is nothing" he replied, still looking horrified. What was wrong with him? Sung Yoon asked herself, curious and confused while the man was questioning himself as well.

No, it couldn't be right? It couldn't be right?
