Chapter 26: Environment

Vermeil stopped, then turned to look at Raine. But, he saw that the other was smiling. He lowered his gaze. He knows that the other has heard the other students call his name earlier. But, Raine still asked him for his name.

Did I offend him by saying that Yris is just my classmate and not a friend, or does he care about formalities much? Vermeil thought and shook his head. Since Raine introduced himself to him, then it is impolite to not introduce himself to him, too, and just let him know of his name from other students.

“Vermeil Fonde.” Vermeil answered before he resumed walking, going to take Raine to where their class was lined up.

Yris is the one who is supposed to do this, but Yris has something to do as a student council member with Arlen as the new school year has just recently started, and so there was much to do. And one of them is the student council elections.

In fact, Raine actually doesn’t need to be served like this since he is not a haughty person who bosses everyone
