The next day, at one o’clock on the dot, Carmen and Liam were on the road, heading back home.
None of them spoke as they kept their eyes off each other. However, that didn't stop either of them from thinking about one another.
Although nothing sexual happened between them when they got back to the hotel that night, Carmen couldn't stop blushing when she thought about how smooth Liam's lip felt. Just thinking about it, had her smiling like a fool unknown to herself.
‘What is she so happy about?’ Liam mumbled when he eyed Carmen.
The way her eyes sparkled when the sunlight beaming against them and how her creamy lips curve into a perfect smile, had Liam obsessed with staring at her.
“Cute.” He mumbled with his sight completely on her.
“Honk!”
“Look where you are driving!” Another driver screamed before driving past Liam's car.

Carmen remained calm as she doubtfully gazed at Liam. She had no response to such a request, so she waited for him to act on his word.“I am going to take your silence as a yes,” Liam mumbled.
Liam woke out the next morning, and yet his eyes were still shut. He then reached his hand to touch the other side of the bed, then his eyelids immediately lifted when he did not feel Carmen.“Where is she?” Li
Carmen finally dragged herself out of bed and reluctantly walked into the bathroom. She didn't even stop in front of the mirror to check her morning look. Instead, she got undressed and got into the shower. She then leaned her head against the glass, enabling the flo
Dax stood still as he stared at the wooden door surface. He didn't know how long he had been standing at Carmen’s hotel room door, but every time he thought about leaving, his legs wouldn't permit him to do so.
Carmen woke up the next morning to the continuous buzzing of her phone. She angrily grabbed the pillow and pressed it over her head to block out the noise. But whoever that was calling remained persistent. Finally, Carmen threw the pillow on the floor. Then she sat u
Carmen pushed the front door open and walked into the hallway. The first voice she heard was her father, so she followed the sound towards the living room.
Carmen had a sleepless night, and the moment the sunlight beamed into her room that morning, she was already awake. The light glowing from her widow didn't draw her focus away from her ceiling.Carmen kept staring up with emptiness in her eyes until she heard a knock on her door.“Miss, your grandfather asked you to join him for breakfast.” A gentle lady’s voice echoed from outside the room.Carmen finally blink her eyelids after stiffly staring for minutes. She then took her sight away from the ceiling and focused it on the spared pillow on her bed before letting out a pitiful sigh.“Grandpa is such an early bird,” Carmen mumbled. She gazed towards the door when she heard the second knock.“Sofia, tell grandi that I will be out soon,” Carmen said as she sat up in bed.&
Carmen stood still for a minute plus with her fingers gently pinching her dress. With all the complex emotions running through her, she didn't know how to react, so she stood numb while staring at Liam and Ali.The coldness in her so-called best friend’s eyes made Carmen’s heart ache. She remained stiff for a few more seconds before taking two steps backward.‘You may have my last name, but you don't bear the willpower of the Smith family!’Carmen stopped when her father's words crossed her mind. Then she clutched her fist as she walked towards Ali and Liam.“Carmen!” Ali cheerfully shouted. She then turned to Liam with a bright smile on her face.“See. I told you that she will come.” Ali said.Liam tightly held onto the spoon with his head bent. In that instant, he didn't know where the intense sense of guilt came from, and yet he still felt remorseful.“What is
