Jealousy or pride?

Carmen walked into Liam's office with fear in her heart. But she didn't have the guts to show it on her face.

Once Carmen closed the door behind her, she waited for a minute before walking closer towards Liam.

As he sat down behind his desk, he didn't show any emotions on his face. So it was difficult for Carmen to tell what he was thinking.

But somehow she felt as though he was pretty mad, and she didn't know if it was because he was jealous or it was his pride.

“Start talking.” Liam calmly said.

However, the way he spoke gave Carmen a clear picture of how he felt, and in that instant, she wished that she didn't walk into that office with him.

“I don't know what you mean.” Carmen softly said.

She knew that she did nothing wrong. But the expression on Liam's face made her feel guilty for a crime that doesn't exist.
