AUTHOR ~•~ Voices. He could hear them all around him, echoing from a distance. It surprised him how he could hear people speak despite the ringing in his ears. CAMILLA ~•~ My hands brushed the floor and slid to the side of the radio. Sighing with satisfaction, I proceeded to find the volume button and pressed it till I could no longer hear myself breathe. Though over sixty, he appeared young and sharp in his uniform of black suit pants and a white long-sleeved shirt. CAMILLA ~•~ When Fredrick found me at his doorstep, his six feet frame towered over my five feet one as he frowned. "What are you doing here?" He asked a brow raised as he feigned a scowl at me. I couldn't deny it. His expression was funny so much that I almost laughed, but I knew it would only make things worse between us. Our last meeting had not ended on a very good note. We had fought and argued about McDonald's and KFC, which had the better customer service. He was for KFC and I was for McDonald's. I mean, WHO THE HELL CHOOSES KFC OVER MCDONALD'S? In anger, I said and I quote. "You have always settled for the lesser things. I'm talking about all the girls you've dated, your music taste, and your movie taste too! Everything is sub-par!" IVAN ~•~ "Your new therapist would be arriving this morning sir. I trust that you are very excited." Antonio's voice rang in my ears, as he walked into my room, to open my curtains; as usual. CAMILLA ~•~ I fought hard to swallow my saliva. He was the definition of "breathtakingly gorgeous"! You know when you think that you have seen the most beautiful thing on Earth, and you just want to rush to it, hold it and tell it how beautiful it is? That was how I felt when I looked at him. His brunette hair matched his beard, and his lips stayed in the middle of it all; pale red and lush. I know that I have gotten my share of rude and stuck up clients, or patients in my life. But for some reason, this one just annoyed me more. He pricked all the hairs on my skin, and I was beyond irritated. I opened my mouth to say something, when Antonio walked in, with a wad of files. I was surprised to see so many papers. When I heard him say "doctors" I was imagining just two, or three. But with the wad of files he dropped on the table in front of me, after offering me a chair, I could tell that I was in for a big surprise. "Please, have a seat miss. What would you like me to offer you? Coffee? Tea? Soda?" He asked. It was the first time he was being polite to me. Perhaps, because he was performing his "butler duties."
