CHAPTER 5 - Let's Get Married

EMILLE’S POV

I opened the bathroom door and walked in. I don’t know why I came here in the first place. He has a jacuzzi tub? I’m getting in here. I’m so embarrassed and I pretended to forget everything but he caught my lie. I don’t know what I am doing with the one who practically ruined everything for me.

I walked into the tub naked and laid there, reflecting on what happened to me in the past few days. I should have believed Alpha Bryan when he was telling me the truth.

Aiden did betray me. He was cheating on me all along right behind my back. I didn’t expect him to be doing it with someone so stupid.

I didn’t see him after leaving the Diamond pack. I went home and stayed in my room till the next day. I went to check on him again but he refused to see me, saying he’s still mad. I noticed that my cousin kept laughing at me this time around. Until I finally broke the rules and barged into his bedroom when I went there.

I had prepared beforehand and beat up everyone that tried to stop me. Normally, they would give up if I don’t listen to them. This time around, they didn’t stop. I felt like something wasn’t right. It seemed they didn’t want me to see something and I’m right. I was able to get to his room just in time to see the great heartbreaking sight.

He was f**king another girl in the bedroom and they were too busy having fun.

“What the hell?!” I growled angrily.

They both disengaged and turned to look at me with a shocked expression. Aiden in bed with Katana, the lowlife Beta who’s a servants child in this pack. This stupid girl is the one he has been cheating on me with?

“Emille… I…”

I clapped my hands as tears forced their way out and I tried to stop them. I moved closer to the bed where the girl looks terrified and tried to hide behind him.

“You were complaining about me kissing another guy but you’ve been doing this behind my back? How hypocritical! I’m such a fool aren’t I? I was trying to prove my innocence and now this?” I asked clenching my fists.

“You need to calm down Emilie. I can explain what is going on here… It’s not what you think.” He tried to explain.

“Is there a reason you’re doing this?” He better have a good reason for doing this to me. Or else I’m going to kill the both of them.

What am I even saying? Of course not. There’s no good reason for cheating on someone. Cheating is cheating and that is the example of what he just did. I don’t know if I’ll be able to forgive him or continue with this relationship. He betrayed me.

“Why don’t you calm down and let me change? I’ll…”

“You had the guts to do this yet you can’t give me a simple explanation once? Tell me what I’m supposed to do then.” I cut him off completely pissed off.

They’re both still naked on the bed. I won’t give them a chance to change without giving me an explanation. They deserve to be humiliated. I can’t believe a werewolf can’t control himself for his mate and he has to behave like a fucking human.

“You’re not going to say anything? You slut! Got anything to say?” I turned to the girl.

She shook her head making me laugh. I moved closer to attack her when someone just hit me from behind. I turned around to see who it was, the person stabbed my abdomen. My vision became weak and blurry immediately. I fell to the ground, unable to move my body.

All I could hear was distant inaudible voices. Then my eyes closed.

When I opened them, I found myself laying in the woods and bleeding. I didn’t have an option. The Diamond pack was close by so I came here to see him instead. I had a lot of people staring at me like I’m a thief. I didn’t really care about them as the pain was enough to take my breath away. It was hard but I made it. I quickly concluded that I must have been poisoned.

I never expected Alpha Bryan to help me but I did think he is obligated to since everything that happened is his fault. Didn’t know someone was so obsessed with me to the point of ruining my own relationship for your selfish reasons.

What I don’t understand is why that person stabbed me and left me to die in the woods? Was this a plan by Aiden to get me out of the way because I already caught him? But he’ll never do that to me right?

I think I’m still too stupid to believe he will never do that. Maybe when he finally kills me, I will understand a million reasons why he can do that to me. Now, I think I’m going to to plan my revenge carefully. How dare he mess with me? I saw him as my best friend and trusted him so much to a fault. I never thought he would ever do this to me.

I even defended him. I was willing to listen to his reasons of doing this to me. But I guess he doesn’t want me anymore. That doesn’t give him the right to try and kill me. He has to pay for everything he has done to me. I won’t spare him.

The sound of the bathroom door opening made me come back to reality. I’m still in the tub naked and this guy has the guts to peep! He stayed at the door giving me an intense gaze that I almost forgot I’m naked. My cheeks became red the moment I realised that, he’s trying to flirt with me. The f**k?

“What are you doing you pervert?! Close the damn door!” I yelled at him.

“I just wanted to check if you’re still alive. I don’t want a dead woman in my bathroom you know, it’s going to mess the place up. And you’re taking too long for a bath, there’s nothing great about your body anyways.” He said probably to make me angry.

“GET OUT.”

He rolled his eyes and closed the door. I quickly heaved a sigh of relief. That man is a perverted king. I wonder how many girls he’s also slept with liked Aiden. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to trust any man after what Aiden did to me. Aiden deserves to die and rot in hell. I won’t stop saying it.

I came out of the tub finally and found a small towel to wear. The towel was hardly enough but I still managed it. Then I remembered I don’t have clothes to wear since the other ones are already ruined with my blood. I walked into the room and there he was. Sitting on a chair, directly facing me with his icy eyes staring through my soul. My soul almost left my own body.

Why do I feel uncomfortable with what he’s doing? It’s like he has some sort of effect on me. I’m not supposed to care right? Is this a result of the mate bond between us? I can’t believe I’m starting to believe he’s my mate now. How did I get two mates at once? I’m still confused.

Should I be worried or happy for having two of them?

“Quit looking at me like that. Whatever you’re thinking won’t happen, even in your dreams.” I sneered.

He stood up and walked towards me slowly making my heart pound. What’s wrong with me? Tell me I’m not suddenly whipped for this guy.

‘You’ve been whipped for him since day one’ My wolf reminded me.

Just shut up if you’re not going to help me. He stopped a few inches away, leaned over to my ears as his breath fanned my neck making me feel more uncomfortable.

“The same goes for you love. I’m not going to touch you. There are clothes in the closet, you can come down for breakfast when you’re done.” He smirked looking at my embarrassed face.

I tried not to blush in front of him. He walked out of the room, I fell on the bed as soon as he’s gone.

“What a jerk.” I mumbled after he left.

I went into his big closet which is another small room and found clothes for female. I tried most of them on as questions kept running through my mind. How did he even get my size? All the clothes here fit me perfectly. Did he also plan this beforehand? Or has he been with a woman that has my body type in the past?

I found something comfy to wear and tied my hair in a ponytail. I made my way downstairs where a lot of food awaited me. I ate to my heart’s content, he wasn’t there so I felt more comfortable. I looked for him after eating and someone took me to his private living room. It’s quite huge and has different types of games and drinks. He was playing the pool game all by himself. Doesn’t he have a beta or a right hand man… or whatever they are called?

“I wonder what kind of king you are. All you do is joke around. I don’t think you have time to take care of matters of your pack.” I said coming in.

He stopped and looked at me with a sly smirk.

“You could help me with that if you become my queen.”

“Then let’s get married.”

He nodded, “Yeah right, what was I expecting to…” He stopped after realizing what I said. “What did you say?”

“Let’s get married. Isn’t that what this is all about in the first place?” I replied him.

His eyes widened in shock. Why is she shocked? Has he been joking about marrying me all along?

“You don’t look too happy to have your wish come true. Tell me all this is not a joke. You did not just use my life as a game, did you?”

He shook his head. “That’s not it. I’m just surprised you agreed so soon. Something great must have happened when I left you alone.”

I found a drink for myself and sat down. “I do have a question for you though.”

“Shoot.”

“You are not attracted to me in any way. You know I have a bad reputation yet you went to that extent to help me. May I know what your reasons are?”

“You will know when the time is right. Telling you now won’t make a difference. But a good reason is because I am your true mate.” He replied after a while.

“Do you have evil plans for the other packs and you want to use me in achieving them because you already know how stubborn I am?”

He chuckled a bit. “What makes you think you’re that useful for me?”

I frowned, “Is that a joke or complement?”

He shrugged, “Whatever you think it is.”

I scoffed and sipped my drink. This guy thinks he has a sense of humor. He’s so annoying. I’m only going to use him to get revenge on Aiden for what he did to me. I also want to know why this man made all that effort just to see me get married to him.

“I’m going to give my family the not so great news. I won’t be back until I want to. Bye.” With that, I left the Diamond pack for my pack.

Once I got home, the guards were all over me. Checking if I’m okay or not. I usually sleep out for some days and they won’t even care. What’s with all the care and fuss they’re making?

I only understood this when I walked in and saw Aiden waiting for me with my father and brothers in the living room. Is he kidding me right now?
