My car drove into my mansion. The mansion I haven't returned to for days, all because I didn't want to see her face.

After parking my car, I got out of it and went into the building in front of me with a rigid look on my face.

I came to the mansion today on purpose because I wanted to see her. Since she had signed the divorce agreement, it was time I fulfilled my own part and gave her what she wanted, so that she would never return to my life again.

With her gone, I can officially make Valentina mine.

Upon arriving inside the living room, I did not see her there and went to look for her in our bedroom.

My steps slowed down as I approached the door to our bedroom.

For the first time in my life, I felt hesitant, and… nervous? Now nervousness was the one thing I would never feel when facing someone like Adira.

So, today, why am I like this?

I opened the door to the bedroom and entered. The rigid look on my face didn't change as I walked in.

This was the look I ought to put on wh

Nathan's pov,“What was with that commotion, Rodriguez? Can't you see that it's night? Who were you busy shouting and raising your voice at?”. My mother asked my father, but instead of replying to her, my father glared at me, since he was facing my direction. My mother naturally noticed that my father's gaze was fixed elsewhere, so she traced the source and turned around, thus seeing me.I saw the way her eyes widened in disbelief, displaying how surprised she was to see me. I have not visited the villa for a month. Besides, she had no idea that I was coming to the villa after all. “Nathan?”. My name escaped from her lips, before the frown on her face disappeared, and she smiled at me. She approached me and stood in front of me. “I didn't know that you were visiting today. Why didn't you inform me? I would have asked the chefs to prepare you your favorite dishes”. She said to me. “I had to come because my father wanted to see me. Most especially, I came here today because I wanted

Adira's pov,It was 7pm, and I was awake staring at my laptop that was on the light wooden table. While staring at my laptop screen, I also stared at the gold wristwatch in my hand. I had put the wristwatch up for sale this evening after much thought about it, because I needed enough money to leave the city and go to Cindaly. I have been staying at Aunt Becky's house for an entire month, and since she and Joseph had noticeably helped me heal my wounds, I decided it was time for me to move on and become the greatest version of myself. I wasn't in any way ready to return to Glems' company to work there. Rather, I had decided to establish myself and be recognized by the public. Because as a successful jeweler who once worked in the Glems company, only my creations were highly recognized. But the jewelries' creator, me, was barely recognized. And what better way to do that if not going to Cindaly? There was a particular company in Cindaly built especially for jewelers like myself.

It took a while before I arrived at the Villa with Valentina. As I parked the car and switched off the car's engine, I turned to Valentina and saw that she was sound asleep. And seeing that, I didn't want to disturb her by waking her up. In the end, I decided not to wake her up. I got out of the car and went to the other side of the car, opening the door to the front seat and removing the seat belt from her body, before I carried her in my strong arms and went into the building. Upon arriving in the living room, the strict face of my father greeted me. The same strict face I had always been scared of, but not anymore. I had grown not to be scared of him after I followed his wishes and got married to Adira. As a result, it ruined two years of my life. I didn't know what he hated about Valentina. Why couldn't he accept her the same way he accepted Adira? Why could Adira become my wife but not Valentina? Was it because Valentina was an actress? But an actress is also a human bein

“Come on, babe. Let's go”. He said to me as he helped me to stand up from the sofa. As we both walked all the way to the exit door, Nathan halted instead of opening the door. His hesitation made me begin to wonder to myself. Before I could ask him any questions or say anything to him, he said to me, “Aren't you tired? Should I carry you instead?”. I paused and looked at him for a while, before I hit his shoulder with my slender hand. “How nice of you, Natty. But I'm only pregnant, not sick”. I said to him, but he strongly insisted, making me have no choice but to agree with him. He carried me in his arms, and we left the office together, heading to the parking lot where his Kloplin car was. One of the most luxurious cars there was in the entire world. He entered the elevator with me, where we saw some of the employees, who couldn't stop staring at us. I didn't mind them staring at Nathan and me, because sooner or later, Nathan and I were going to become a married couple. They

Valentina's pov, The door to Nathan's office shut after Kai left. I stopped hugging Nathan and looked into his eyes. “I am sorry, Natty. Because of me, you got injured and your friendship with Kai ended”. I said to him and helped him wipe off the blood stain on his lips, before I lowered my gaze all the way to the ground. Nathan lifted my face, before he placed his hand on the side of my cheek and caressed it. “It's alright, babe. It's not your fault. So, don't blame yourself, before you end up hurting our baby”. He sweetly said to me and I nodded at him with a pretend forced smile. So many things have changed during the past month... After that fateful day when I woke up next to Nathan in bed. Although he kept his distance from me the first week after that day, he came over the following week and apologized to me, stating that something unpleasant spoiled his mood that day. I was glad that I wasn't responsible for souring his mood. Also, it was then that he told me tha

One month later,Kai's pov,It has been a month, but I have no single clue about Adira's whereabouts. I have been calling her phone number, but it has never gone through for once. I had even asked Nathan about her, but he had no idea about her whereabouts either. That made me furious. So, she hasn't yet gone to apologize to Nathan but has gone hiding?Because of her, our mother wasn't able to sleep well at night, as she was worried that something bad might have happened to her. And our Father.... He had even called Mr Rodriguez recently and told him about the divorce situation, but he sounded confused about the divorce, like he wasn't aware of it at all. About two weeks ago, when I asked Nathan about Adira, I never asked him about what she had done wrong to him, because I felt that if I wanted to ask him about it, I ought to ask him in person and not on a phone call. But today, I had spare time and decided to visit his company. I parked my car in the company's parking lot, befo
