She should know

The hands of the clock kept moving forward but I stayed in the same position for hours, with my eyes glued to the front door. People kept walking inside and out, watching me with curiosity at first but then I turned as interesting as the cushion right next to me.

I let out a sigh as another hour passed.

Arwin volunteered to keep an eye on the door and even inform me if Alpha Orion returned, but I knew it would be useless. I was not going to get any sleep.

The sun said goodbye a long time ago, no news entered my ears. I was waiting to hear a word about the body that was found.

Was it a sign?

I tried to shake the thought out of my head.

The door opened after what felt like years.

I stood up and ran to stand in front of Alpha Orion. It was difficult to read what was going on inside his head from the expression on his face...as usual.

I scanned the faces of Bernadette and Kai, Bernadette lifted her lips to pass a reassuring smile and Kai walked ahead ignoring me.
