"You're a curse, Eileen! Everyone around you becomes miserable because of you!" "You're the damned one, Eileen! You shouldn't have been born!" The pain was too much, and Elleen clutched her heart and fainted among the Stoneheart wolves. "Mate!" She never expected to become Alpha Jason's Mate! Did the moon goddess realize her injustice? Was this a good start for her? "The thing I regret most is claiming you as my mate! You'll never give birth to a healthy child. You have no value to the pack!" "Leave with your monster!" Jason announced viciously. "No!" Eileen's heart was pierced again. Why was fate so unfair to her? What had she done to deserve this? She looked at her sleeping daughter and collapsed in the forest. The rogues caught her scent, and despair washed over her as she wondered if her fate would end there. Suddenly, a black wolf appeared and killed the rogues. The sweet scent of her mate filled her senses, and her inner wolf howled wildly in her mind! A second mate? But when she saw the black wolf transform into a human, she felt the air around her being sucked away! Why was the moon goddess so cruel to her, driving her out of the wolf pack? The person who drove her out turned out to be her second partner! The triplets who bullied her had become her second mate! What would her fate be? Would she continue to be hurt, or had the triplets uncovered the truth and decided to protect her? So, would Eileen choose to accept or reject?

"Luna, I'm sorry, but you've been confirmed as infertile."
I sat in the sterile white waiting room of the Wolfpack Hospital, clutching the final report in my trembling hands. *Still.* This was the third time I'd come here to check my fertility since giving birth to Amber. As the Luna of our pack, I'd never missed a single training session, so I knew my body was healthy. Yet, despite following the pack nutritionist's advice—shifting from a vegetarian diet to one rich in meat—nothing had changed.
A tear slipped down my cheek, and the nurse's eyes widened in alarm. I quickly wiped it away with the back of my hand, forcing a smile to reassure her I was fine.
Leaving the hospital, I tried to focus on the silver lining: I already had Amber, my sweet, quiet daughter. But her silence weighed heavily on me. The pressure of being the heir to the pack was a mountain crushing both me and Jason, my husband and the Alpha of the Stoneheart Pack, the second-largest pack in North America. While Jason had never outright said Amber couldn't be his successor, the pack would never accept a silent Alpha.
I had to find him. We needed to fix this—for Amber's sake.
Lately, Jason had been coming home less and less, and Amber's condition had worsened. I wasn't sure if his absence was the cause, but I knew our relationship was crumbling. He avoided me, his silence growing more pronounced. Except for pack business, he was almost never home. I'd tried to convince myself he was just busy, but deep down, I couldn't shake the unease.
The pain of infertility felt like a boulder on my chest, suffocating me.
Tonight, I had to confront him. Our relationship couldn't continue like this—not for Amber's sake.
If only she could grow up like other children… No, I couldn't be so cruel. Amber was who she was meant to be, and her future would be brighter than mine.
Back at home, I took a deep breath and pushed open the door to my five-year-old's nursery, longing to hold her in my arms.
"Luna, you're back so early… Is everything alright?" the nanny greeted me with a warm smile.
I nodded, forcing a smile of my own, my eyes immediately drawn to the small figure on the bed. Amber was curled up in the corner, clutching her teddy bear, her eyes vacant, as if she'd shut out the world.
At the sound of my voice, her eyes flickered open briefly before darting away. My heart sank. There was no warmth in her gaze, no recognition of her mother—only cold detachment.
Tears welled up, but I quickly wiped them away and moved to the bed, gently pulling her into my arms. Her body stiffened, but she didn't push me away. At least I was the only one she allowed close—even Jason couldn't get near her.
"The doctor came this afternoon. He checked on Amber and suggested she needs her father's presence. An Alpha's genetic influence can help ease a pup's anxiety. There's a chance it could help her recover."
The nanny's words sparked a flicker of hope in me. If I could just talk to Jason, I was sure he'd come around for Amber.
But first, I had to find him.
"Don't worry, sweetheart. You'll get better soon, okay? Mom and Dad will make sure of it," I whispered, cradling her head against my chest.
Her body gradually relaxed, and soon, I heard the steady rhythm of her breathing. I looked down at her angelic face, tears streaming down my cheeks once more. Was all of this my fault?
"You're a curse, Eileen! Everyone around you suffers because of you!"
"You're the one who should die, Eileen! You shouldn't even have been born!"
The scars of my past tore open again—the people I'd once loved had looked at me with disgust, as if I were their nightmare. Their hatred was so vivid, so suffocating.
Pain lanced through my chest like a steel rod, and I clutched my heart, nearly collapsing. Tears poured out uncontrollably. No! I wouldn't let Amber suffer the same fate. I refused to believe Jason would be so cruel to our daughter.
Suddenly, the front door slammed open. I knew it was Jason. I quickly got up, quietly closing Amber's door, and headed to the living room.
Jason's tall frame filled the doorway, but his eyes immediately shifted away from me, as if I were invisible. What shocked me more was the woman standing behind him—clearly pregnant.
Her belly was round, and she wore a triumphant smile.
"Jason, who is she?" I asked, my voice trembling.
"This is Lena, my new mate," Jason replied coldly, his eyes devoid of warmth.
Lena stroked her belly, giving me a smug look before leaning into Jason and declaring, "I'm carrying Jason's son."
My world shattered. Breathing became painful, and my voice shook as tears streamed down my face.
"Your son?" I stared at Jason in disbelief, but his expression remained icy.
"Yes, she'll give me an heir," he said flatly. "We confirmed it today at the Wolfpack Hospital."
"Also, I found out something else—you're still infertile," he added, his tone indifferent.
My eyes widened, my heart constricting. Of course, the Wolfpack Hospital was Jason's domain. I should've known nothing about me was a secret to him.
"What about our family? What about Amber?" I felt dizzy, my palms slick with sweat.
Jason frowned, his voice cold and firm. "To me, Amber doesn't exist. She's a sickly pup, incapable of bringing any value to the pack. You two need to leave. As for the child Lena's carrying, that's my heir."
My heart was torn to pieces, each fragment burning with pain. I couldn't bear this betrayal, this blatant disrespect, this cruelty toward Amber. I glared at Jason, fury blazing in my eyes.
"How could you do this to us? Amber is your daughter! She's just sick—she needs you! She needs her father!"
Jason's eyes flashed with impatience. "Listen, my decision is final. From this moment on, you're no longer the Luna. Take your bastard and leave the pack. And if you try to come back, I'll take her from you and end you both."
"You wouldn't dare!" I clenched my teeth. No one would hurt Amber!
"Eileen, let's tear this scum apart! We can do it!" my wolf, Nora, roared in my mind.
"Stand down! You're not worthy to challenge me!" Jason's eyes turned red, his claws extending as he lunged at me!
"Ahh!" Suddenly, Amber's scream echoed through the living room. I turned to see her standing in the doorway, clutching her teddy bear, barefoot, her eyes filled with fear and hatred.
I retracted my claws and rushed to Amber, pulling her into my arms. Had she heard Jason call her a monster? My body trembled. No, my little Amber couldn't suffer any more.
"Amber, no! It's nothing! Mom and Dad were just playing a game," I soothed, but she kept screaming, her face contorted in pain. Jason's eyes were cold, devoid of compassion.
My pain deepened. "No, sweetheart, Amber, stop." I held her tightly, trying to calm her thrashing, kissing her cheeks to soothe her.
It felt like an eternity before Amber finally passed out in my arms. I collapsed to the floor, tears streaming down my face.
"Accept my rejection," Jason's icy voice cut through the silence.
My heart turned to ice. I'd been foolish to hope he'd change his mind. He hadn't. He'd watched Amber's suffering with cold indifference, shattering my last shred of hope.
I closed my eyes, numb. "I, Eileen, Luna of the Stoneheart Pack, accept your rejection. Jason, Alpha of the Stoneheart Pack."
Eileen's POVI was lost in the world of colors, painting alongside Amber, when a maid entered the room. She curtsied slightly, her eyes fixed on me. "Luna Eileen, the Alpha has called a meeting and requests your presence," she said, her voice respectful. I raised my brows at her words. The days that went by after the graduation was a little tiring and I made sure to clear my schedule and finish up eveueworl I had to do so I could spend the whole of today with amber but it seemed like these days never go as planned.I wondered why Arthur suddenly wanted to see me. I turned on my phone to see if I had received any textes from any of the triplets earlier but there was nothing."Hmm, that's unusual, did they give you a reason why there's a meeting and why I'm needed there?" I asked her and she shook her head grimly. "I'm sorry Luna, I wasn't given any other information " She gave a little bow and I let out a sigh and turned to Amber who had now dropped her painting brush and was staring a
Eileen's POVI stood at the center of the gathering, surrounded by the new batch of female werewolf warriors, I couldn't help but so happy and proud of how far we had come together as a pack. The graduation party was in full swing, with music and laughter filling the air. I remembered the first time I had seen a woman being talked about and how I stood up to defend her fearlessly. That might have been the best decision I had made, to defend my fellow woman. I was grateful for the support I had gotten from my mates and the pack members to be able to defend women.I remember how I fought, literally when the council members were against the idea of women standing up for themselves and defending themselves. I was glad I never gave up and was proud and honoured to be able to train with these wonderful and strong women. And now today was the final graduation party for the first set of women to finish the training including Mary. We had thrown a bonfire party in their honour a few nights bac
Eileen's POVI quickly reached out to the triplets through our mind-link, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. "Guys, we need to find Amber," I said, trying to convey the urgency of the situation. "I think she might have overheard my conversation earlier, and I'm worried she might be upset."Arthur's voice came through the link, calm and reassuring. "Don't worry, Eileen, we'll find her. Kyle, let's go look for her now. We'll check the usual places she likes to hang out and see if anyone's seen her."Brett's voice chimed in, trying to calm me down as well "I'll check the training grounds and see if anyone's seen her. We'll find her, Eileen. Try not to worry too much."Kyle's voice added, "I'll check with the other pack members and see if they've seen her. We'll cover all our bases and find her soon."I nodded, even though they couldn't see me. "Be careful, and let me know as soon as you find her. I need to talk to her and clear up any misunderstandings." My mind was filled with th
Eileen's POVA few days had passed and now the first set of the training were set out to graduate the next day. I was so happy, time had flown so fast, the adults were now capable of graduating from the training academy. They had learnt all the basics they needed for defense and attack. They could now carry out missions and protect themselves when needed. I felt like a proud teacher and not just the triplets, but even Alex and Amber applauded me for this. They were happy as well that the students were graduating and Brett chipped in the idea of having a bonfire to celebrate the graduating students. I thought it was a wonderful idea and it had been a very long time since I experienced being at a bonfire.I was sure it was going to be a very exciting and memorable time not just for me, but for Amber as well. I could see it in her demeanor how excited she was and how much she looked forward to it. She practically bounced around and couldn't wait for it to be time.Time flew and soon we w
Eileen's POV"Let me come inside,"Kyle insisted, his voice low and dangerous. I couldn't even hear him. All I heard was their slapping skin and the pound of my heart."Actually, don't."My eyes flew open at that. I hooked my legs around him."No," I protested. "I want it."Kyle's eyes grew dark. It flickered in warning, but I grabbed him by the collar and kissed him again. At this, he grunted. Breath ragged, my mouth was slow and weak. Then, I let out a sharp cry, tightening until he nearly exploded inside of me.I saw a flash of hot, white light. Then, my body collapsed to the desk. I was panting fast and hard. But he did not stop. He continued, despite my extreme sensitivity. I cried out, pushing at his chest, but he grabbed my wrists and kissed my fingertips. Haphazardly, he nuzzled my neck, shifting my hands to hold onto his shoulders."You're not getting away from me that fast, love," Kyle groaned as he slowed into a steady pace. I hugged him tightly, as he came inside, his visio
Eileen's POV"I can smell your arousal Kyle" I managed to say between my quiet gasps."I smell yours as well, love."The word left his mouth swift and hard. He didn't even have to think about it. He was certain. A man of his word. A man of honor."You're lucky you're wearing pants today," Kyle hoarsely said against my neck. "Go."I got to her feet. His dark and heated stare followed my every action. Then, I kicked off my pants and discarded them to the ground. Immediately, his expression became dim. His eyes greedily took in everything. His hot stare licked at my thighs, from my knees to my panties.I felt a persistent ache in between my thighs. I could've sworn I felt a pulse too."Come."A quiet command. A gruff voice. Yet, I obliged.I walked to him, but he was already on his feet. I felt my heart skip with anticipation, wondering what they'd do. I glanced out the window, but realized no one could see in."Bend over."My heart stopped at his words."On the desk. Now." This time, hi
