Flashback – Memory Lane is long!

Ash’s POV

“Cut you off?” Dargan asked, while the rest of the people reeled from the information. That a barely adolescent kid had been accused of murder.

Talk about keeping a cool head...

“Alpha Christian Black was my father’s cousin,” she explained--- making my wolf snarl at hearing the name of the man who betrayed us. “And his only living relative.”

“So,” Ashley summarized. “All of Black Wood’s fortune will go to you?”

  • Hell's Alpha   Chapter 1

Dargan’s POVYou know your life is a clusterfuck, when you prefer a quiet cell to the people standing outside of it, offering me a way to escape execution. My crime?Or would that be “crimes”, considering I’ve been charged with several murders?Well, fuck me if I know… First, I allegedly killed my father. Because what kind of son, doesn’t want to kill his father from time to time?Especially in a fit of rage…That’s what they’re saying at least. That we had an argument and I killed him in a fit of rage.Sure…It had nothing to do with the fact that I walked in on my mother crying and screaming in pain. Barely able to breathe. Despite being just 14 at the time I knew exactly what it meant. My father was fucking another bitch.I knew he wasn’t a saint, but I’d always loved and looked up to my father. He was a good man and an even better alpha. He was the one who preached to me about the sanctity of a mate bond. How precious a mate was and how to treat them with kindness, respect, and l

  • Hell's Alpha   Chapter 2

Days, or weeks, or months ago…Dargan’s POVI knew I was close to a pack. The Blackwood Pack, if memory served me right, but for all I cared, it would be the Blue Lagune, and I wouldn’t give less of a fuck. I’d parked my truck a couple of miles back on an old, deserted road and had shifted into my wolf, going for a long well-deserved run after almost a week in my human skin.It felt good being on all fours again. Being a werewolf and stuck in the human world was a nightmare for an alpha wolf. All werewolves needed to shift just like we needed air to breathe. Being stuck in the city grated on my nerves and I’d become gradually more irritated, to the point where I was even telling my manager off. And considering that the man controlled my paycheck, I knew a run was long overdue.I’d been running around, hunting and just soaking up the sun, when I heard the first scream. The sun was getting low, and I was on my way back to the truck, so I paused, wondering if it was my mind playing games

  • Hell's Alpha   Chapter 3

Still X-amount of time ago…Dargan’s POVI wasn’t even questioned.I was taken straight to the torture chamber and tortured for days.Or weeks…Or months, I wasn’t even sure at this point. Passing out from blood loss, thirst or hunger tended to do that to a person. Pain was a constant companion of mine and the only way to tell time was by the muscles gradually disappearing off my body.Hell, at this point I wasn’t even ashamed to admit that a sliver of fear crept down my spine every time the alpha or one of his guards walked into the room. The pain he inflicted was enough for me to wish for death. To curse myself for ever being so stupid and naïve to stick around to help a pack bitch.Packs were nothing but hell! And nothing really changed until one day when the alpha came in and had a man with him that I hadn’t seen there before.“You don’t have to do this,” the alpha said gently, in a tone he’d never used while talking to me. Not that we talked much. It was mostly just him spewing p

  • Hell's Alpha   Chapter 4

Nope, still wasting away here…Dargan’s POVI was left alone for some time after that. This time I managed to keep time by the meals that came and went into the cell. Which seriously should have been my first clue that something was amiss.Never trust anyone who’s trying to feed you…Everything else remained the same. Until one day when the cell door opened and the man from earlier entered. The dead girl’s father. He looked pretty much the same, but for some reason, he didn’t have a rank anymore. Oh, he was definitely still a very powerful wolf, but now he didn’t hold a position within the pack now…Wondered what happened there? Not that I asked. Hell, I didn’t say anything despite him looking at me expectantly. As if waiting for me to say something. Again, I didn’t. Mostly because whatever insanity had overtaken me the other day had left and I was back to being somewhat normal. The other reason was simple: I learned from a young age that if you kept quiet, you would hear a lot…“I wa

  • Hell's Alpha   Chapter 5

This might take a while…Dargan’s POVThe alpha was back and damn I wish he wasn’t! Someone had seriously pissed in his porridge this morning--- On second thought, the entire pack might have taken a dumb in his porridge this morning, because he was taking some serious anger out on me again. And for once, I didn’t have the gag. Not that it worked in my favor or anything. He would ask a question and whenever he didn’t like the answer, he’d punch me.And right now, he didn’t like anything I said…“You were standing naked above her!” he said--- although how he knew that, was beyond me, but it seemed like he was twisting the tale, so he’d be a witness as well. Probably to add credibility to his son’s story. And right now, trying to get me to change mine…“You’re telling me that was a coincidence?”Was I mad for finding his question funny?“You’re telling me that your wolf is so small, that your clothes don’t rip when you shift?” I mocked him back, knowing that no matter what I said, he was

  • Hell's Alpha   Chapter 6

In my defense, I never said it was a short story…Dargan’s POVI’ll be honest.I didn’t know that my uncle had joined the Council of Elders. But thinking back it did make sense. His father before him had been a member and while it wasn’t a “family” thing, having nothing better to do (since he was the “baby brother” to the alpha) it made sense he joined them. My father and he never got along very well anyway and if he didn’t look and smelled exactly like my father, I probably wouldn’t have known it was him.I’d been moved to an interrogation room and was now sitting in front of the three Elders – my uncle, another male I didn’t know, and a female I remembered also was at my trial 15 years ago. My uncle stood as I entered the room, along with the other members of the Elders Council, and gestured for me to take a seat. As if this was a job interview and not my fucking life on the line…My plan had been for them to show up at some point, but I didn’t expect them to be here this early in t

  • Hell's Alpha   Chapter 7

Finally! Present time…Dargan’s POVThe Tartarus Pack was – for lack of a better word – a dump. Apparently, the alpha had gotten into some shady dealing with the wrong kind of people and in the end, he and his whole family had run away, leaving the pack at the mercy of the rogues he’d fucked over. In the end, the Council had to step in and had gotten rid of the rogue problem. But since there wasn’t another alpha wolf in the pack who could take over, the Elders were in a somewhat pickle. They couldn’t keep one single pack under their protection indefinitely and needed someone to step up and be their alpha. And since alpha wolves were hard to come by these days, they were ready to do just about anything.Literally!Because they settled for me!And while it wasn’t what I’d originally intended, between that and not being dead it was an obvious choice.I accepted.“Guess I’m the Alpha of Hell now, ha?” I joked. But seeing as the room was full of stuck-ups, the joke sort of didn’t land. I,

  • Hell's Alpha   Chapter 8

Dargan’s POV“This is…,” Ashton mumbled looking around with a look of disgust on his face. “Depressing.”Well, seeing as he came from a pack that had enough money to wipe their asses with it, I understood that he found the “cabin in the woods”-look sort of depressing. The packhouse was barely a one-and-a-half-story building, with some desks scattered across the main floor and a closed-off office in the back. The bathroom was cramped next to what looked like some kind of enforced holding cells and to top it all off:No AC!Already it was better than most dumps I’d been living at. Because seriously, have you heard the noise a broken AC makes? Let me tell you, it’s enough to make people consider murdering someone.Or suicide!Whichever gets you out of there the fastest…“What? You expected hell to be an amusement park, Ashton?” I smirked as I stood beside him and for now, just threw my bags on the ground.“My name is---” he grumbled but cut himself off mid-sentence and hopelessly shook h

Flashback--- this might take a while!Ash’s POV“Dargan!” Ashley snapped the second her mate started growling at Rhea. “She’s latent. Relax!”I’d taken the she-wolf to the office when I realized that none of my alphas were at the Main House. Which I had mixed feeling about. I lived upstairs in the pack house since there was no way in hell I would share a home with the alphas. But m

Yep, still here: Flashback Continues…Ash’s POV“Ash?!” she echoed, tilting her head curiously. “How do you go from Flint to Ash?”“Because apparently I look like an 'Ash',” I told her, giving her the same words Dargan had given me. Back then, it hadn’t made any sense to me, but once Dargan finally revealed his “grand plan”, I understood it was to throw off the Elders so they wouldn’t suspect that I was there to get revenge for my daugh

  • Hell's Alpha   Hell's Angel (Chapter 4)

Flashback continues...Ash’s POVHer voice was firm despite the quiver, as if she were somehow used to being in this situation. My wolf didn’t like that fact! Because it meant that someone had been bullying her and forcing her into this position. That some asshole out there was getting away with mistreating his wolves. Was she an Omega?I sniffed the air again, but all I got was wolf. And rogue. So she wasn’t abused in that way. Which had me sighing in relief. She lo

  • Hell's Alpha   Hell's Angel (Chapter 3)

WARNING: This chapter contains thoughts of suicide!Flashback to almost a year ago…Ash’s POVIt was early morning, and catching the scent of a rogue didn’t improve my already moody wolf’s mood. Growling low, I chased it down, stopping just in time when I realized that there was a girl in front of me. Shrieking, she held up her hands protectively, making herself as small as possible.Good start…But my wolf didn’t stop growling until she bared her neck to me, showing me her vulnerable neck.Submission!“I’m not here to hurt anyone,” she cried out, her fear permeating the air. My wolf stepped back once he realized she was terrified, but didn’t let his guard down. We’d been fucked over one too many times by clever rogues who pretended to be something they were not.I had some questions for her, but for some reason, I couldn’t reach her wolf. Growing suspicious,

  • Hell's Alpha   Hell's Angel (Chapter 2)

WARNING: This story contains mature sex scenes with a minor and a huge age gapAsh’s POV“I’m going for a perimeter run,” I informed Ashley a couple of hours later, once I’d finished training the older kids. I had some free time before I had to train the adults, who had work and a life of their own outside of the pack. And I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my personal free time...“Anything I can do before I leave?” I asked after filing away the paperwork I’d finished on the pack’s progress. I’d outlined a program for training and disciplining the younger wolves and getting the older ones into shape.Ever since Dargan took over The Tartarus Pack, it had been glaringly obvious that the wolves here didn’t have an ounce of discipline of any kind. This could be extremely dangerous if they didn’t learn to control their wolves at a young age – especially since the whole pack went to a human school close to our borders.Once Ashley and Gaia took over, we continued to develop the plan,

  • Hell's Alpha   Hell's Angel (Chapter 1)

Ash’s POVHer scent was the first thing that hit me, and I had to stifle a groan when my wolf instantly stood to attention. Her scent was the sweetest thing I’d ever smelled, and it called to me not only on a primal level, but it called to me as a man!Rhea Holliday!Named after a goddess, I well understood why! She was beautiful, with raven black hair and a long slender body, that was made for strength and power. Her beautiful green eyes were almost neon in color and if she had an alter, I would happily worship at it…But I couldn’t!Crushing the lust that made my dick swell uncomfortably in my jeans, I picked

  • Hell's Alpha   Hell's Angel (Prologue 2)

Ash's POVI gritted my teeth as bitterness tainted my tongue and I spat at his corpse. I hated the son of a bitch and I hoped he fucking suffered in hell! His body was just as badly burned as his son's. The stench of death, ash, and burned meat filled the air. The glow of the wood looked ominous in the dark---But the warmth was comfortable…Strange to think that at an execution site, I thought to myself and dug my thumbs into my jeans’ pockets. What I really wanted to do was to go over there and desecrate their burial site. To tear them apart and piss all over them. Hell, I’d even take a shit on them, if only to make me feel something. But I didn’t feel anything…They were already dead and, n

  • Hell's Alpha   Hell's Angel (Prologue 1)

Ash’s POVI stood there, watching as the last of the flames licked at the charred remains of what once had been my daughter’s killer. The blackened body was unrecognizable, but if you looked hard enough, you could still see the fear and pain in his eyes as the flames bit into his flesh.I should be happy…I should be celebrating that I’d gotten my revenge.I should be relieved, knowing I brought my daughter’s murderer to justice. But I didn’t…All I felt was---Empty!
