Chapter 5(Threaten?)

Lily in a baffled state followed him to the area, still with her right hand covering her right cheek. Without her knowledge tears were streaming down from her eyes.

After reaching there he removed his hands from her, and she looked down of not knowing why he removed and what is happening around. She looked at him in the eyes with a wounded look and a trembling voice she asked him.

“Wh.. Who.. Who is she? Why were you kissing her? That didn’t happen right. I.. I.. mean It was my hallucination right.” Saying she started to hold his hands. But he shook his head and avoided her hand contact. After a heavy sigh he started talking.

“Umm.. Lily, She is Rency, my Fiancée. In a month we are getting married” he dropped a bomb and she gasped in shock.

“Wh.. What are you saying? Ha ha stop it Rob, it’s not funny” she said trying to act cool that it must be a joke but her expressions turned into a sorrow when she noticed that his face looked stern.

“No Lily. I’m serious and we are getting married”  He said seriously.

“Rob.. If you already had Fiancée, then what am I to you. What was the relationship we shared?” she asked holding his collar and shaking it ferociously. He removed her hands from the collar effortlessly and smirked at her.

“Well.. to start with we didn’t have any relationship and you.. you are my employee, just an employee. Umm yea, with your beauty I was able to attract all the men to visit the museum. I thought of having a taste of you but I should say today’s event has ruined it.” Frowning he said which earned a slap from Lily.

Her eyes were filled with hurt, hatred and anger. Soon as she slapped him, he grabbed her neck and started squeezing it. Her hands started to slap his hands and tried to remove the hold of his hands after a minute of struggle he released, she fell to the floor and started coughing vehemently.

He kneeled down, lifted her head with his finger and spoke,

“You... Stop acting like an innocent girl. You owe me a huge debt, if you try to sabotage my name or try something funny, your brother will die and you.. you will be sold to underworld people as a sex slave” he warned her sending chills down her spine and left the place. The usual caring, loving Robert she met was long gone and it was all just a lie which made her to shudder in fear and heartbreak.

Squatting down holding her knees and burying her head between the knees she cried for a long time. She recalled how Shane her brother and Steve warned her about Robert and how she shrugged it off, believing the fake love he showered on her.

It was soon darkened outside, crying for long hours she lost track of time and fell asleep or to be exact passed out that even her phone ringing for hours couldn’t wake her up. Unknown to her, there were a pair of eyes watched her with full of concern.

Screechhhh…. Early in the morning, the door to the Statue region was opened by a worried Steve and some fellow staff members.

Steve hurried inside to see Lily passed out in the ground, he tried waking her up and found she was passed out. He lifted her in his arms and ran out of the museum towards his jeep.

He started the engine and drove fast, still trying to wake her up by shaking her shoulders. The constant shaking made her to blabber something inaudibly. Soon, he reached the hospital and the doctor’s checked her and gave her saline drops for her fatigue. After some time, he drove her back to her house.

Shane who was anxiously waiting for her sister was found near the gate of their house when Steve reached with Lily. Seeing Steve’s jeep, he ran towards it and opened the door to find his sister unconscious.

Steve lifted her in his arms and Shane helped him to his sister’s room to place Lily on the bed. After that, Steve informed Shane how he found Lily on the ground unconscious in the hall.

Soon a groaning of sound heard from Lily’s room and both of them hurried inside to find Lily sitting with a perplexed look. She looked around the room and tried to absorb the situation happening around her and the previous day scenario played on her mind.

Suddenly she started crying, Steve and Shane ran towards her, both sitting either side of her and tried to comfort her. They both exchanged a confused look, after a few minutes she stopped crying in tired.

“Sister, what happened? Why did you cry? Why were you lying unconscious?” Shane started throwing her questions. She sniffed for some time and with a choking voice she told both of them of what happened and how Robert threatened her.

“I’m Sorry, I didn’t listen to both of you. Blindly, I believed he loved me, I am really sorry” saying she started crying again. They both patted her back, she rested her head on Shane shoulder and holding Steve hand sniffed for some time.

“Sister, please don’t cry. He can’t do anything to us, if needed I will kill him for sure. Believe me, i will do anything for you and you have to quit that job immediately. From now on I will take care of everything. I will go for part time jobs and will take care of you” he said patting his chest.

“You are not alone Lily, I’m here for you. You are my friend and I will definitely take care of you. We will deal with him, Shane is right you leave that job and try for another one.” Steve said lovingly at her, squeezing the hand of hers comfortingly. Seeing both of them, she again burst into tears and hugged them both tightly.

After some hours,

Vessels rolling sound was heard from the kitchen, she couldn’t sit still on her bed and she rushed inside the kitchen to see, Steve and Shane cooking side by side.

Shane tried copying whatever Steve was doing. They both cleaned the chicken, chopped onions. Left the Water to boil on the stove, with egg peels and vegetables scrapes all over the floor she felt like fainting again.

Shane hearing the sound at the door, he looked back to see his sister in a shock look. He followed her eyesight and found the kitchen clumsiness and embarrassedly, he dragged her out of the kitchen, made her sit on the couch played TV for her and left the place hurriedly.

Soon the food was dished out on the dining table. Steve, Shane and Lily ate the food in silence and Steve left their house after having food. She collected all the dishes and went inside the kitchen to see the place was all cleaned. She smiled looking at it.

Shane stood behind her and rested his chin on Lily’s shoulder, she patted his cheeks lovingly,

“Sister, can I tell you something” he asked in a soft voice to which she nodded without words.

“Why don’t you date Steve, he is really caring and affectionate towards you, no one can take care of you better than him” he said and she froze on the spot hearing that but she just chuckled lightly and started cleaning the dishes saying nothing. He sighed and left the place.
