Other than the initial surprise, Kayden didn't show much change in expression and continue forward. The lack of enthusiasm bothered Seraphine.

Getting closer to him, Seraphine clutched on to his hand and commented, "That's it?"

Tilting his head to face her, he replied, "This doesn't concern me."

"Tch!" Seraphine scoffed. "You say I feel adult-like at times. What about you? Who in your age shows as such a dull response?"

After this, Seraphine did not pursue the matter further, and the two of them held small conversations here and there prior to them reaching their destination.

This part of the town was bustling, and there was a faint smell of alcohol in the air. The surroundings were noisy due to sounds from laughter and yelling. 

Crinkling in nose, Kayden questioned, "Is this really where you wanted to come in?"
