Chapter 10

Amanda stood with Eric, both of them staring at each other. Amanda doesn't want to invite him in but Eric wants to go in at least to know what her house looks like.

Their eyes met and they both looked away. Eric tried to say something but found words stuck in his throat. He cleared his throat which made Amanda tense.

"I have to take my leave now," Eric said, scratching his head and feeling awkward like a high school boy visiting his crush's house for the first time.

"Okay… I'm sorry I didn't invite you in," Amanda apologized which made Eric barely smile. He just nodded and turned to walk back to his car. He stole a glance at Amanda who stood there looking at him before entering his car and driving off.

Amanda heaved a sigh of relief, wondering why Eric suddenly wanted to be invited into her house. As she got in she studied around and shook her head. It was nowhere to be compared to his mansion so she didn't think he would end up being comfortable in it.
