25] The Aftermath.
Mercedes felt herself being thrown out of consciousness. She opened her eyes in the ambulance, struggling against the paramedics as they attempted to treat her wounds.
"Sedar..." She cried out in hushed tones. "Where is my husband?" She inquired frantically."Awwww..." She screamed as a pinching sensation penetrated her leg.
The paramedics were speaking to her, attempting to calm her down, but she couldn't understand them, which increased her anxiety because she didn't know what was going on.
She quickly found herself drifting back into the darkness, which consumed her.

HELP! Mercedes screams, hoping that someone on the outside can hear her as her body enslaves her.
The pain and fear hit her like a tonne of bricks. Her entire body, including her head, face, and chest. It hurts! It hurts all over, making the pain unbearable for her to bear.

Eight days later.... Mercedes finally managed to claw her way out of the place that held her captive for many days. She could no longer yield to the suffering torment of the darkness. Sedar lay in the hospital bed, trapped inside of his body. It had been two days since Sedar had been removed from life support, two agonising days of waiting for him to awaken from his deep slumber. Mercedes was finally given the all-clear to leave the hospital, but only under strict conditions. She stayed at a cheap motel with Ezekiel after it was made clear that she was not welcome to reside at the Ozturk residency. She'd also discovered the divorce papers Zeynep had thrown at Ezekiel while she laid paralysed in her hospital bed. She flipped through the papers, oblivious to the fact that she had already read them numerous times and refused to sign them until she spoke with Sedar herself. Until then, she refuses to comply. Besides, Ozgar had warned her not to sign them until he had thoroughly reviewed them. He also informed her that it would be against Sedars wishes. Mercedes rushed into Sedar's room, her body trembling with excitement and the pit of her stomach churning with butterflies. When she arrived, Zeynep was sleeping next to Sedar, her hand clasping his. Her steps faltered, she suddenly felt like the wind had been knocked out of her and the butterflies soon dispersed. His büyük baba, cleared his throat, with the corner of his eyes wrinkling as he smiled at her reaction. Zeynep tilted her head upwards, meeting her gaze and snickered. Ezekiel and Ozgar strolled into the room and low grunts left their mouths at the same time. "Can you tell me what you're doing with my husband?" She exhaled, attempting to maintain her cool.

Ozgar stood on the other side of the door to Mercedes motel room. He held a large envelope that carried the new divorce papers inside, he had drafted it himself, not trusting Sedars büyük baba or Zeyneps' lawyers. He knew they'd do her dirty, and he couldn't let it happen. She was young and innocent, and she still has a lot of potential. He's seen the effects of a broken woman as a result of a divorce, and even though he secretly knows their marriage was a contract, he won't let her walk away empty-handed. As Mercedes waited for Sedar's decision, she held her breath. She could hear Zeynep breathing behind her as the room was ruthlessly silent. She had gotten to know Ozgar over the past few days, as he had taken time out of his busy schedule to check in on her and take her mind off the divorce and the media articles. She also began to see him in a different light for the first time properly, and every time he looked at her with his Emerald green eyes with flecks of gold in them. She found herself blushing, her body reacting to him more naturally compared to the way it did under Sedar's attention. She felt free to be herself around Ozgar, and she didn't have to second-guess her every move. He effortlessly made her smile. With Sedar, her body was sexually attracted to him first, then her mind started to catch up with hopes of her heart following.
