Chapter 24: Gaining Trust

Elma’s POV

“D-Den?” I mumbled, feeling myself being pulled back to my feet.

“Y-You… a-are…” Den was blabbering like an idiot, seemingly scared out of his wits.

Sebastian was behind me, his body’s heat inducing warmth to my own body while his hands gripped on my shoulder tensely.

He is worried, just like me. Den came closer trying to form words but in vain. He looked like a fish gasping for oxygen outside water. Meanwhile, I was terrified. If he outed us, we might be done for once and all.

So, without thinking much, I dashed on him to use my touch to make him forget it all. However, Sebastian might have misinterpreted it. He grabbed my arm in order to stop me. I hissed and desperately smacked his hand off me. Swiftly, I reached for Den who instinctively dodged me.

I was shocked!

Regardless of the situation he was in, Den impressively saved himself. However, this was a matter of concern for me.

“What are you doing?” Sebastian asked in rage while Den swirled me around and pinned me again
