Her Ex-husband's Regret

NEW YORK 2018 ~SERENE~ I stared down the window, lost in my thoughts. Why was life so unfair to me? I thought the hardest thing for a woman was to make their in-laws love them, which is why I grew up making sure they loved me, and they did, as they even made sure I married him. Yes, I was married to the love of my life, Diego. From the moment I set my eyes on him, I knew he was the one for me. I was fortunate as his family was good friends with my father, and since my father died saving him, they swore to make sure he married me. I was happy when he finally proposed. I can still remember that day, like yesterday. He was not happy. He told me he was doing it for his family, but did I care? No, because I knew I would win his heart, and no, I was not giving up. I am going to win his heart. I subconsciously stopped myself as I raised my hand almost sipping on the wine then I remembered I was not pregnant, I just lost our baby a few weeks ago so I brought the glass to my mouth, sipped

Serene "What? What is this!" I yelled, my voice quivering with rage and agony at the sight of Diego and Nelly. When he turned around, he realized he had forgotten to lock the door "I can explain... ""Explain? How would you explain this?"I entered the room, my face filled with grief and betrayal. My gaze shifts to Nelly, who is gazing down and avoiding eye contact. "Serene, let us discuss this at home." Diego reached out to me, saying, "It is not what you think." "Not what I think? I believe I just walked in on my husband in bed with another woman, So, what might it be?" I questioned, taking steps backward. My eyes welled with tears, but I refused to let them fall. I stormed out of the room, turning on my heel. Disappointment enveloped me, and the prospect of blind trust being broken shattered my heart."Serene, please wait!" Diego cried behind me. He tries to get out of the bed, but Nelly clutches his arm."Let her go.Let her go!""What have I done?" Diego moaned. [Home]When I

Serene When I arrived home, I ran into our bedroom, only to discover that my closet was empty. I asked myself , "How could Diego have done this?” We spent about three hours in his attorney's office, and it could not have been him.I turned to our maid Nora and said, "Who entered our room after I had left?""No one did."What? How is that possible? My closet was emptied."I emptied them for you," Nora replied. “What?”"Oh please quit the act, Serene, you should be grateful I did you a favor imagine how long it would have taken you to get all your stuff together, I do not want Nelly to come here and find you wandering around this house, I have moved all your belongings to the living room, I don't even know what you are doing here," Nora, the maid, reacted. "What! Do you know Nelly?"You must have grown too comfortable being soothed by me; that chapter is over now; my best friend will be controlling this home from now on, and you need to get your ass out of here," Nora said, glaring at

Serene I have not heard from Diego in two weeks. I have been doing everything I can to recover, and now it is time for me to go to a faraway land, away from Diego and all the suffering he has caused me. It is now time to start afresh, this time without making any compromises for anyone.Charlotte and Neina are welcome to visit me in London at any moment. I can not understand why they are so unhappy. Charlotte and Neina placed my things in the boot and moved towards me; we hugged before jumping into the car and driving to the airport."Do not forget to inform us when you land," Neina said lovingly.“I won't promise,” I responded with a smile at them."If you forget, we will catch the next flight there," Charlotte said, and we all laughed. The vehicle came to a stop, and we hopped out. I grabbed my luggage and we headed inside the airport, and I started to feel sad and melancholy. I paused and glanced at both of them; Charlotte saw and hurriedly muttered, "Serene, calm down." I gathered

Diego "Sir, your lawyer wishes to speak with you about something," George remarked in a pallid voice."Tell him to wait; I will be back in a few days; you know Nelly does not like things cut short," I responded to George in a strong tone."But, Sir—"I cut him off and said, "I know you can manage anything, George; just do your job."He was about to say something , but as soon as Nelly stepped in, I ended the call. She smiled at me and approached me with an enticing look. I stood up and headed towards her; when we met, I grabbed her up and kissed her. We proceeded to our bed, carrying her in my arms, and gingerly laid her on the plus-sized bed."Hold on," she whispered before I had the opportunity to kiss her.She grinned and picked up her phone. I was curious as to why she had stopped me, so she scanned through her album and finally stopped at a shot. I could not believe my eyes when I viewed the picture."What? You still have that ?" I questioned her."Yes, this was the only thing t
