“I trust you, Serena, I’ll do whatever you think is best.” Serena beams and parks the ultrasound scanner back in the corner of the room and plugs it in to charge, so it’s ready for when she wants it.
“Once we know where we stand on the speed of this pregnancy, I’ll probably be able to take most of the stuff away again. I want to be able to work here, but I also don’t want this to feel like a hospital room for you.” Eliza nods and Serena goes back downstairs and comes back a few minutes later. She hands four packets of pills to Kai. He hums, looking at them,
“What are these?” Serena smiles, and points to each one as she explains,
“These are standard multivits; they’re usually one a day, but I’d suggest two a day for now. These are prenatal vitamins, they’re good for the babies. One a day for those. And these are some witch’s moss pills

Eliza nods and pulls a bowl of porridge towards her and some fruit; she dumps the fruit into the porridge and begins. She looks weak still, but manages the bowl without needing help. She grabs the last cinnamon roll and pulls it apart to eat. Then more fruit and some yoghurt. “Hey, Honey.” Ash kisses Eliza’s temple, and she sags into his side. He wraps an arm around her and helps her to the chair nearby. “Okay.” He kneels in front of her and she whines reaching towards the bed. He nods and moves the chair even closer, and brings the bed down a bit so she can see the babies. She croons at them, stroking their heads. Serena takes them one at a time and weighs them, measures them and takes the thread off their ankles.She cleans them puts on a nappy, a footed onesie, and a coloured hat. The first is the girl, and has a pink hat.“Galateia Marla Wild.” She says, cradling her to her chest, as Serena moves on to the next one. Ash strokes her cheek gently, and she scrunches up her squidgy face, rubbing at it with her fists. She was perfect, and squeaks gently. “Hi baby girl. Hi Teia.” Eliza croons softly, and rocks her gently. The next is in a red hat, and Ash helps her to hold the both of them

Ash comes to stand by Kai. Eliza whimpers and he nods and turns to Serena,“What can we do?” Serena looks around the room.“Clean towels, then at least we can wrap them up. One of you get in behind her so she can sit up more. It’ll help get them out quicker, I hope.” Ash goes for the bathroom and Kai lifts her shoulders so he can get in behind her, and pulls her into his arms. She rests her hands on his knees, and groans as the next contraction hits her. He rubs her back, and hums soothingly.“Why here?” She whimpers, “Where he had me… I don’t like this.” She shakes her head, and Kai rests his head against hers,“I don’t like this either, but it’s happening. She’d been having a nightmare; it had felt so real, though. She remembers getting out of bed, and Kai and Ash’s faces as they’d realised, she wasn’t in control of her body or voice any more. She was glad they’d known, but then Seth had accompanied her out the front door and helped her into the van. She’s now surrounded by Vampires and Witches. Then her mind gets foggy, like she can’t quite remember what happened after that, and had passed out at some point.She’d woken to hear Emmaline on the phone to Noemi, hearing everything she’d said, and is appalled. Dom turns the volume down when it goes quiet, Kai slams his fist into the table, denting the wood, and making a few of the others jump. He sighs,“Damn it all. This keeps happening.” He sits, and Ash goes and sits next to him, putting a hand on his shoulder. “Why does she keep getting taken?” He sobs, and Ash pulls him into his shoulder. Their father sits on Kai’s other side, resting a hand on his other shoulder.“We get her back, and we don’t wait this time.” Eddie nods,“Yes, Sir.” Eddie turns to study the camera feeds and Charlie takes control of the room.“Okay, in her absence, I’m in charge. We get my sister back. Today.” There’s a murmur of assent around the room. “Benny is on his way in too, he’ll be here shortly. Serena will be with you two.” She points at Ash and Kai, “You will be going for our girl and she’ll be your medic if needed.
