Kai’s driving a little too fast, and Ash calls him out on it.

“If you drive us into a tree, we’ll be fine, but she’ll be stood up. And I’m not having that.” Kai nods,

“Me either, sorry. I’m just excited to see her again.” He’s feeling giddy, and Ash is grinning too. “You had a video call this morning, without me. I feel left out is all.” Ash smirks,

“You were asleep, and she told me not to wake you. I did offer. I’ve told you this several times now.” Kai nods, and slows the car down to the actual speed limit around here, and before long they’re outside the pub. Kai parks the car and gets out, and as he turns, he sees a purple and green disc floating just off the ground beside the pub wall. Ash stares at it for a moment. Then a foot emerges from it, followed by the rest of his beautiful Eliza.

“Wow!” Ash says quietly, she turns and grins at them.

“Hey, good timing.” She walks over to them. Kai notices that she’s got a duffle bag with her. “Shall we go inside and have a chat?” Ash nods

I know this is a lot.” They look down at her, and Ash gives her a faint smile,“Yeah, we’re being framed for a crime we would never commit. Our lives are in danger, and the only one hel

    Eliza smirks, and turns back to watch the three guys by the dock master. The three guys are asking for a specific container to be unloaded first. She opens the coms again,“That’s the container we want. Let them unload it, then we’ll move in.” There’s a quiet chorus of ‘Yes, Boss.’ She starts moving back from the edge. Then finds the ladder down to the ground. Ash and Kai are following her. She nods to them and slides down the ladder carefully. They follow her, more cautiously. She’s at the corner of the building by the time they catch up. The container is now on the crane, being lowered where the three are directing it.“Wait.” Ash and Kai stay behind her and flatten themselves to the wall, she watches the men and the container carefully. Once the container’s safely on the ground, they open it and disappear inside. “Now!” There was a flurry of movement, several of her people converging on the container quickly surrounding it.     “Hey, Boss.” Eddie’s here, which surprises her a little, but she’s glad he’s here nonetheless.“Eddie, I’m surprised you’re out here.” He smirks, but inclines his head,“If you want a job done…” She nods,“Fair.” She takes a deep breath then nods, “So, what have we got?” Eddie nods and taps at his tablet computer,“Ship’s about to pull in to the harbour, it’ll take a few minutes to dock properly for unloading.” Eddie shows her a tablet with a selection of video feeds. She nods and scans through them,“Any noise?” He shakes his head,“Nothing, no one seems off at the moment, we’ve been tracking bank records for the employees here, and found three possible people. But we can’t pin down where they are right now. They should be working tonight, but they either didn’t clock in, or aren’t here.” That isn’t good,“Did they get tipped off, somehow then? Or is it just not clocking in so there’s no proof they were here at all…” She’s mostly talking to herself, and is tapping her chin in thought

    She smiles at Kai and nods. She picks up one of the throwing knives. She shows him how it works.“It’s fully flexible, and soft when it’s turned off.” She wafts it, and hands him the thing, he turns it over in his hands.“Feels like fabric almost.” She nods, then, holding it carefully, making sure not to cut Kai when she does, she turns it on. A small electrical current flows into the fabric and it becomes flat and rigid. Kai turns it over carefully, and tests the edge. “That’s a sharp knife.” She smiles,“They’re all like that. Virtually undetectable by touch, and perfectly safe when they’re turned off.” She carefully starts packing the bits back into their places. “Only I can turn these on, they’re coded to my fingerprints.” He nods, “But once they’re on I can give them to someone else, if needed.” He smirks at her,“You planning on letting us have a go, if needed?” She looks at him, she’s not put the swords away yet, and he’s more likely to know how to use one of those.     “His room is through there.” Kai comments when he sees where Eliza’s looking, “We have adjoining rooms. They are much the same, just mirror images of each other.” She nods, unwilling to trust her voice to not sound like a squeak. Is it warm in here, no? Just her then, perfect.She fans herself as discretely as possible, but she catches Kai smirking. She ignores him, and stops. He drops the chosen clothes beside her on the bed. She squirms a little, and he looks at her appraisingly. She scratches at her neck a little, feeling incredibly awkward. He tilts his head and strokes her cheek gently,“Baby? If you’re uncomfortable, I can change in the bathroom.” She studies him for a moment, then looks away and sighs,“It’s just not something I’m used to, all this attention and wanting me present for everything. I don’t mind it, I think? I just feel a little out of place.” He nods, and takes her hand.“I’m not taking off my underwear, you won’t see all of me. But I’d like to see your reaction

    Ash leads her to the kitchen after texting Kai to figure out what he’s up to. He’d dumped Seth in his room and locked the door, he could sit tight for now. She felt much better knowing he won’t keep pestering her. She can deal with him when she’s awake, but asleep? She has no chance of fending him off then. She just has to hope her nightmares would leave this little incident out. Kai’s in the kitchen when they get there and he smiles at her,“Hey, Baby. I’m just finishing up your food, give me a moment.” She smiles, and takes the seat offered to her by Ash. He sits next to her and she watches Kai cooking. He looks like a master in his element, there’s not a thing out of place. He seems to be making some sort of stir-fry. It smells amazing, she takes a deep breath in as he places the plate in front of her. Brandishing a fork.
