A few minutes later and the kids are fed, back in the incubators and dozing, and Eliza sits up,“Right, toilet first, then I’ll come back and relax with you for a bit. I still feel tired, but I would like to cuddle with you both for a bit.” Kai nods and Ash gets up to help her to the bathroom. They spend most of the day in bed with Eliza, helping her feed the kids every hour or so, and then she decides to go downstairs to have dinner and check in on everything now she’s feeling more like herself again. Kai takes two of the babies, and Ash takes the other and Eliza’s elbow as they head down.Eddie is the only one visible on the main floor and Eliza takes Nico from Kai and sits at the dining table to talk to Eddie. It’s not long before she’s asleep and Kai nods.“I’ll head down and see what I can do to be helpful. I’ll leave the door ajar so I can hear if you need me.” Ash nods, and settles in behind her closing his own eyes and trying to relax. Kai checks each of the children, they seem to be settled for now, he smiles at the scene and heads down. The others are all milling about and Charlie is showing the ones who didn’t go up the pictures she’d taken of the children. “Okay, the kids are here, for real this time. Now what?” Eddie nods,“Now we plan our next attack on Noemi, leaving her out of it as much as possible until she tells me otherwise. We let her recover, and we let her figure out how to do this with three babies in the house. We could send them back to England, it might be safer there, but I’m pretty sure she won’t go for that just yet.” Kai nods,“Neither would we.”

My daughter, Teia.” Serena encourages her to try feeding her, there are a few moments of adjustment, where Eliza is trying to find the right way to hold her so she can reach the nipple, but then she sighs and shudders as Teia latches on. “It feels weird, good, but weird.” Serena nods,“Good. If it hurts, try again. Your breasts might feel full, or leak a little, or get a bit sore, but that’s normal and I’ll keep an eye on you anyways. But if anything feels different, in your breasts or anywhere else, just let me know.” Eliza nods and Serena brings over the next baby, Eliza hands Teia to Ash, as she takes Leo from Serena. Ash grimaces, he rushes his hand washing; while also knowing he needs to do a good enough job to pass Serena’s inspection. If Eliza is being cut open, she was not going to get an infection from him being near her. Serena sighs,“I know, but your men will be back any moment now, and I’ll get them settled. Then we can begin. I’ll get the anaesthesia sorted, Merlin could you set up a screen for us?” Ash and Kai return and wait for Serena. She nods, and points to the gloves and plastic aprons. “Please?” They nod and get ready; Eliza watches them and Ash shudders gently. “Come.” She brings them back to the bed, Kai looks at Serena,“Where do you want us?”“Pick a side, and hold her hands, try to keep her as calm as you can. I know this is hard, and I know this is sudden. I am sorry about that, but I will do my very best work here. I promise you.” Ash nods and goes to Eliza’s

It reduces the chances of complications and is safer for mum and babies.” Kai looks at Serena,“Okay, why are you mentioning this now?” Serena looks at him,“I’m worried about preeclampsia, I’m going to need a sample of your urine, and soon. You need to tell me if your vision changes, have any abnormal abdominal pain, or more trouble breathing. I know this was a panic attack, but it’s a worrying sign, that and your legs have swollen overnight. The only real treatment for preeclampsia is to deliver the babies. But I want to wait as long as I can before I do that.” Eliza nods,“Okay, get me a cup to pee into, I’ll see what I can do about getting you a sample.” Serena nods and disappears again, “Can I get some water, please?” Kai nods, kis
