LOGINCassie is on fire.
She is wandering around Mathias for half an hour with her heart pondering. She tries not to be clumsy like that high school girl who is excitedly stalking Mr. Raptis.
Whenever Cassie struggles to meet his gaze, Mathias turns to answer a friend. Or when she tries to offer him a drink, someone drags the man to the furthest corner of the garden.
Cassie huffs as her shoulders fall in disappointment. It is getting late and the party is about to end. She has no idea when she can see Mathias after today for-
“Is that Cassie?”
She shivers head to toe after hearing that scratchy female voice.
Oh, no. No, no… Turning around slowly, she looks at the owner of it, at Mrs. Raptis.
Mathias’s wife.
The arrogant woman is examining Cassie with a haughty gaze like she used to do in the past. Like she is trying to find a physical defect on Cassie’s body that she can never find. When their eyes finally meet, Cassie sees the sourness in the woman’s eyes that results from the failure.
Mrs. Raptis is known by her disdainful attitudes toward people in the neighborhood as having a rich family, thanks to her husband’s high-income business. Unlike Mathias, she loves putting their wealth in people's eyes.
Emily Raptis can’t stand that if someone has a nice appearance than hers or a more successful child than her babies. She is obsessed with giving the impression of a perfect family, but Cassie knows that their flawless image is just a false facade.
“Yes, it’s you.” Emily says with a feigned surprise. She is chilling with a few neighbors around her. “I almost couldn’t recognize you, my dear. Looks like you’ve gained weight.”
Cassie struggles to beam a confident smile but fails. “It’s nice to see you, too, Mrs. Raptis.” She anxiously pushes a strand of hair behind her ear. “Actually, I am at my ideal weight.”
Becoming a confident and successful young girl after all those years, Cassie shouldn’t be intimidated by Emily but she just can’t help it. Even lots of male fans who adore her alluring physique is not enough for Cassie to be confident against this woman’s criticizing gaze.
Emily cocks her perfectly shaped eyebrow. “I am sure you have some extras.” She purses her lips disapprovingly. “You should reduce eating fatty foods, my dear.”
Ugh, the audacity!
While Cassie’s heart dips to her stomach against those rude words, another neighbor interjects. “In fact,” Aunt Gilda says. “I’ve been trying to shape my hips exactly the way she has.” Wrapping an arm around Cassie with affection, she looks at her in the eye. “What I wouldn’t give to have a narrow waist like yours, Cass.”
She thanks Aunt Gilda for smiling warmly. This lovely hairdresser is her mother’s best friend and Cassie’s favorite neighbor in Long Island.
Other women ask her questions about her life in Los Angeles. Cassie always wanted to become a manager and do her own business. Four years ago, she left her hometown for education in LA. She graduated from Portes College, Department of Restaurant Management with honor and flew back to her home.
“My Avra will finish law school next year.” Mrs. Raptis says out of nowhere. “You should see how successful she is. I am sure she will be an honor student.” Then she turns to Cassie and sadly draws. “I hope you can find a nice job soon, my dear. It is not easy to become a thing in your field.”
Cassie grits her teeth and inwardly curses that arrogant woman. This is her house and she can’t cause a scene that would embarrass her parents. Also, when it comes to Emily, she always turns into a tongue-tied little girl. This woman has a strange spell over Cassie that she can’t name. So, she just smiles and thanks Mrs. Raptis for her best wishes and turns around to walk toward the cocktail table.
How could an ice floe like Emily pick up a warm-hearted man like Mathias and hold him inside her palm for years?
“I will never learn how.” She restlessly murmurs to herself. Lost in her thoughts, she can’t see her father and his friend getting closer to the cocktails.
"Oh, Cass." Peter calls her, shaking Cassie out of her stupor.
She turns around and sees Mathias is standing right behind her like a marble statue. Thank God he is not looking at her or she would turn into a puddle in front of his feet.
Swallowing with excitement, she looks at her father. “Yes, dad?”
Her father seems uneasy. "We couldn't do it today, but tomorrow I will give you a ride, okay?"
"It's okay, dad." Cassie smiles at him, she needed to go shopping but her father wasn't available all day. "Another time we-"
"I can drive you to the town now." Mathias interrupts.
Cassie surprises against his kind offer, then freezes. The idea of being alone with him in a narrow space makes her speechless.
Hot. It's so hot today.
"You are not going home?" Her father asks with confusion.
"Unfortunately." Mathias casually answers. "I need to catch another meeting."
Is it only her, or is it very hot today?
"Oh thanks, buddy. I owe you one." Peter continues as his daughter still tries to find her voice. He pats Mathias's shoulder and turns to Cassie. "Don't be late, princess." Then he leaves them alone.
Mathias's eyes turn to Cassie again. They slowly travel up and down on her body as he licks his lips. They linger some strategic parts before meeting with her gaze.
"Shall we?" He sighs as looking at her face intensely and adds with a cocky smile. "Princess?"
So. Fucking. Hot.
Cassie tries to sound calm like she isn't melting inside. "I don't wanna cause you trouble, Mr. Raptis."
"Nonsense." He murmurs and opens the garden door. "Call me Mathias, sweetheart." He gently waits for her to go first.
Cassie gives him a confident smile as an answer and bites her lip again. Sweetheart!?
On their way to Mathias's house, they walk in silence. Cassie feels her heart pounders harder with every step she takes. They reach the garage and enter the dim place.
Cassie approaches his car and turns around to see him closing the door. Playing with her long hair, she asks. "How many minutes will it take you to drive us, Mr. Rap- Mathias?" She emphasizes his name in a sensual way.
He chuckles at her audacity and licks his lips. "How long do you need, sweetheart?" Mathias murmurs as coming closer to the other side of the car.
"I can't guess." Cassie is being sassy now, she tosses her hair over her shoulder and turns back to the car. Feeling bold under his intense gaze, she seductively sways her hips as walking to the backseat. "When is your meeting?" She looks at his face.
Mathias chuckles at her tempting attitude again, his eyes are piercing hers. "There is no fucking meeting sweety." He declares with an impatient voice. "Now, get in the car."
Cassie bites her lip with enthusiasm, her intimacy begins to throb again. She opens the door and looks at Mathias as smiling mischievously. "I think the meeting is here."
Helloo 🧁 Will Mathias ride her to the town? or Will he ride her to another place?
Cassie is angry at herself. Why did she have to remind him of Avra's situation?!Mathias was into her again but when Cassie questioned his previous decision, he retreated. It was clear the man felt guilty, she could see it in his eyes. Then he exited the kitchen and didn’t even hear her last words, leaving Cassie with her own stupidity. The moment Mathias disappears, Avra enters the kitchen from the other door. Cassie turns her back to her to hide the turmoil inside her and holds the whisk. “Is this enough vanilla sticks, Cass?” Avra asks, walking toward her with them. However, there is a problem. Cassie didn’t mix the filling while Mathias was holding her while they were kissing and the mixture is kind of… burnt. Avra comes near her. “What’s this smell?”“Umm…” How can she explain this failure? “Oh, no!” Avra whines. “Is it burnt?”What can Cassie say? She was standing right in front of the stove and the filling got ruined because of something magical? This is beyond suspicio
After the night they met, Emilia’s fierce memory lingered in Mathias's mind for a short while. But once school started, he met prettier girls around the campus. And by the end of the first week, Mathias had completely forgotten about that girl in Florida. Even her name had slipped from his memory.Yet, Emilia reminded him of herself in a way impossible to forget. When Mathias came back to New York to visit his father during the semester break, the Latina girl appeared at his door. Pregnant. With his baby. Emilia’s hand had rested on her swollen belly. A sneaky, knowing smile curling her lips, telling him without a word that it was too late to say goodbye to the baby. Mathias’s mind raced, flashing back to that night in Florida: the tequila game, the passion she ignited inside him, the girl’s mischievous eyes, her dance, the hotel room, the night of lust…It had all come back to slam into him like a wave of regret. His hands trembled at his sides, words failing him as the full weigh
Mathias knew better. He knew he shouldn’t steal a kiss from Cassie since he never managed to stop once things got out of his hands. However… Finding her in the middle of his kitchen all of a sudden clouded his good senses. As if her alluring look wasn’t enough, she polished it with that seductive attitude, those naughty glances and mischievous smiles. No need to mention her sassiness while putting those plates into the dishwasher. That little witch. How could Mathias resist any of it, for God’s sake? Especially after days of not seeing her–not even from a distance. Also he’d had a bad week. Between the heavy meetings, he had met his father’s attorney, Mr. Robinson and the vile man had asked Mathias if he would agree to abandon his daughters. It was a shitty week, for real. Then, without any clue, this girl landed in his kitchen like a gift from the universe. Or a punishment. At first, he teased her back, implied he still remembered her vanilla sauce, holding her gaz
“Okay.” Avra finally manages to switch the stove on. “Um, how long should I boil it?”Cassie smiles at her excitement. “No need to boil it, actually. Just stir it until it thickens.”Avra blinks cluelessly. “And… when does it thicken exactly?”Cassie giggles affectionately this time. “Less than ten minutes.”“You think I’m an idiot, right?” Avra giggles at herself. “Still, I’m playing with fire here.”“Shush!” Cassie playfully slaps her friend’s arm. “Don’t say such things. Start stirring, chop chop!”While Avra is busy with the filling, Cassie starts organizing the mess they’ve made. She gathers the dirty bowls from the counter and begins loading them into the dishwasher. Of course, her intention isn’t to leave a spotless kitchen for Mrs. Raptis.Since Mathias is still there, she turns it into a little show. She bends over more than necessary, arching subtly as she places each dish inside– slowly, very slowly.“Hey, girls.” Mathias calls out behind them.“Yes, dad?” Avra turns to her
There is another person in the kitchen with them. “Such a pleasure to have you here, sweetie.”Avra lets out a thin laugh. “I’m always in the kitchen.” She says defensively, still whisking the mixture. “It’s you who isn’t seen here.”An amused exhale. “If you were always here, you might have noticed I make my own coffee every weekend.” The voice sends shivers into Cassie’s body. She presses her hand onto her chest. “Okay, okay.” Avra laughs again. “If you wait for it, you can have Byko Pie near your coffee.”A pause. “Byko?”Cassie rolls her eyes while taking the coconut package out of the fridge. Her friend still pronounces it wrong.“Oh, not Byko.” Avra thinks for a second, then calls out. “Hey, Cass. What was the name again?”Cassie slowly straightens, her heartbeat quickens. Across the kitchen island, their gazes meet.Surprise hits Mathias’s face -raw and unguarded- at the sight of her standing there, in the middle of the day, in his kitchen. It’s obvious he just came back from
After she comes back home, Cassie lies down on her bed for a while. Then she takes a long shower to cool her nerves. At the end of this turmoil, she decides that it's kind of soothing that Mathias is trapped by that woman. It means he didn't choose Emily of his own free will. It sounds selfish to wish that were true, but for the first time in her life, Cassie doesn't feel inadequate next to Emily Raptis. That woman was a fraud and Mathias was her captive, not a passionate lover. Yes, that must be the truth. After getting out of the bathroom, she texts Avra. They were supposed to meet for a cooking session and this is a great opportunity for Cassie to see Mathias. Me: Hello Av! What's up? Her friend’s response comes immediately. Avra: Trying to survive against my mother's endless advice... How are you? Cassie winces, she knows how it feels to get schooled by Mrs. Raptis. Me: Fine. Remember we had a cooking class? Wanna do it this weekend? 💕 Cassie chews her bottom
Mathias’s head is pounding from the noise. His friends lose themselves in the game like they always do. The game Mathias can’t pay any attention to, he didn’t knock Hardwin’s door for it anyway.Since the second he saw Cassie, he has been in agony of wanting to touch her. She showed no mercy as alwa
Mathias holds her hips with both hands and enters inside her aching pussy with a one firm thrust. Cassie’s hands clench on the edge of the backseat. “Oh, my…God!” She loudly whimpers and closes her eyes. Mathias begins to rock his hips with a rapid rhythm, his fingers dig into her flesh.“I thought y
“What are you gonna do about it then?” Cassie murmurs, flicks her tongue on his lips.“I think…” Mathias sends an arm around her waist and presses her onto his chest even more. “...I should teach you how to behave.”He suddenly lifts her and puts his knees onto the bed. Cassie yelps as they fall ont
Cassie shakes herself out of the stupor. She takes a step back and holds her arm toward the house. “Mr. Raptis.” She speaks with a sassy smile. “We weren’t expecting you to come.”Mathias chuckles. “I come whenever I want.” He brushes her breast with his arm as passing by her.Cassie’s eyes briefly
