Corren’s POV

The Singapore call ended at 11:47 a.m.

I closed the laptop, leaned back in the chair, and let the silence of the office settle around me. Through the glass wall I could still see Ava sitting where I had placed her—hands folded in her lap, back straight, the black dress I had chosen for her falling neatly over her knees. She had not spoken once during the entire meeting. She had simply watched, listened, and absorbed. That quiet obedience pleased me more than I expected.

I dismissed her with a look. She rose, murmured “Yes, Daddy,” and left the office with the soft click of the door. The scent of her lingered for a moment after she was gone. I allowed myself three seconds to remember the way she had trembled over my desk the night before, then locked the thought away. There was work to do.

Marcus entered two minutes later without knocking. He knew the schedule better than anyone.

“Crowe’s people called again,” he said, placing a slim folder on my desk. “They’re offering a revised percentage on the waterfront project. Twenty-two percent instead of the original eighteen. They’re calling it a goodwill adjustment.”

I opened the folder and scanned the numbers. Daniel Crowe had been circling the same stretch of coastline for three years. He wanted the development rights I controlled, and he had grown tired of being told no. The new offer was better than the last, but it still carried the same problem: Crowe himself.

“He’s getting desperate,” I said.

“Or aggressive,” Marcus replied. “There’s a rumor he’s been meeting with two of our minority shareholders. Quiet dinners. No paper trail yet, but the timing is convenient.”

I closed the folder. Outside the window, the formal gardens stretched toward the high perimeter walls. Beyond those walls the city waited, full of men who believed money and pressure could move anything. Most of the time they were right. Most of the time they had never dealt with me.

“Schedule a meeting,” I said. “Here. Friday. I want Crowe on my ground, not his.”

Marcus made a note. “Security?”

“Full detail. Raymond’s team on the gates and the main house. No one enters the inner wing.” I looked up. “And keep Ava away from the east conference rooms that day. I don’t want her near him.”

Marcus’s expression did not change, but I saw the quiet question in his eyes. He had worked for me long enough to recognize when something had shifted in the household. He was also smart enough not to ask.

“Understood.”

After he left, I stood and walked to the window. The estate lay quiet under the midday sun. Somewhere inside the main house Ava was moving through rooms I had given her access to, wearing clothes I had chosen, carrying the memory of my cock and my rules inside her body. The thought sent a slow pull of satisfaction through me. She was adapting faster than I had expected. The shame was still there—I could see it in her eyes—but it no longer stopped her from getting wet when I touched her or from calling me Daddy when I required it.

That progress mattered. The rest of my life was less obedient.

I spent the next three hours on calls. One with the legal team about a shipping dispute in Rotterdam. One with the director of the European holdings regarding a sudden tax inquiry that smelled like a setup. One with the head of security for the downtown tower after a small group of protestors appeared outside the lobby that morning. None of the problems were catastrophic on their own. Together they formed a pattern I did not like. Pressure from different directions, arriving in the same week.

At 3:20 p.m. my private line rang. The number was blocked. I answered anyway.

“Corren.”

Daniel Crowe’s voice came through smooth and faintly amused. “I hear you’re finally willing to talk. Friday works for me. I’ll bring my own numbers.”

“You’ll bring whatever I tell you to bring,” I said. “And you’ll come alone.”

A soft laugh. “Still giving orders from that fortress of yours. One day the walls won’t be high enough.”

I ended the call without answering.

The rest of the afternoon passed in controlled motion. I signed off on the east wing renovation materials, approved a transfer to the Italian property, and reviewed the latest report from Raymond on estate security. Everything inside the walls remained clean. Everything outside felt like it was beginning to lean in.

At 6:40 p.m. I left the office and walked the long hallway toward the main staircase. Staff stepped aside. The house operated on quiet precision; that was how I preferred it. When I reached the upper landing I paused. Faint music drifted from the direction of Ava’s room. I stood there for a moment, listening, then continued to my own suite to change.

By the time I returned downstairs, the sky outside had turned the deep blue of early evening. Marcus was waiting in the foyer with a final update.

“Crowe confirmed for Friday at eleven,” he said. “Also, one of the minority shareholders who had dinner with him last week sold a block of shares this afternoon. Small percentage, but the timing is deliberate.”

I nodded once. “Start buying them back quietly. I want control tightened before the meeting.”

“Yes, sir.”

Marcus left. I remained in the foyer for a moment longer, looking up the staircase. Somewhere above me Ava would be preparing herself for nine o’clock. She would come to the study on time. She would call me Daddy. She would take what I gave her. That part of my world, at least, was beginning to run exactly as I wanted.

The rest of it—the city, the shareholders, Daniel Crowe and whatever game he thought he was playing—would require a different kind of attention.

I turned and walked toward the study, already calculating the next move.

Outside the walls, the pressure was rising.

Inside them, I still held every advantage that mattered.

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Eight

Ava’s POVThat night I slept like a baby. For the first time in quite a while, my body gave in completely. The exhaustion from the day—the school, the cafeteria conversation, the drive home, the way Corren had carried me and taken me in his room—pulled me under as soon as my head touched the pillow. No restless turning. No half-awake thoughts circling the same conflicts. Just deep, unbroken sleep that lasted until the sound of my bedroom door opening cut through it.“Small madam, you are late to school.”The maid’s voice was urgent but carefully controlled. I sat up fast, heart already racing, and looked at the time on my phone. She was right. I had overslept by nearly forty minutes. The calm of the night before vanished in an instant.I threw the covers aside and moved quickly. In the bathroom I brushed my teeth in hurried strokes, splashed water on my face, and ran a comb through my hair with little concern for neatness. There was no time for the careful preparation of the previous

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Seven

Ava’s POV“It was cool,” I said. The words came out softer than I intended. Corren’s eyes remained on me through the rearview mirror for a moment longer before he looked back at the road. He did not ask further questions. The silence that followed was heavy but not empty; it carried the weight of everything he had not yet decided to say. I sat with my bag on my lap, the navy dress still neat from the day, and tried not to think about the young man in the cafeteria or the way my pulse had reacted to ordinary attention. The closer the car drew to the estate, the more those thoughts were replaced by the familiar tension that always arrived when Corren’s presence filled the space around me.The gates opened. The car moved up the long drive and stopped at the front entrance. Corren stepped out first, then came around and opened my door himself. His hand settled at the small of my back as he guided me inside—not roughly, but with the same quiet ownership he always used. The staff remained i

Ava’s POV“Yes,” I said. The word left my mouth before I could fully consider it. He set his tray down across from me and sat with easy confidence, as if the invitation had never been in doubt. Close up, the resemblance to the young man from the courtyard settled more firmly into place. The same clean features, the same polished ease. Whether he was exactly Sebastian Langford or only someone who moved in the same circles, he carried the same atmosphere of money that never had to introduce itself.“I’m Ava,” I said, because silence felt more dangerous than politeness.“I know.” He smiled slightly. “You introduced yourself in class. I’m the one who didn’t.” He offered his name a moment later—clear, unhurried—and then asked what had brought me to the program mid-term. I gave the simplest version I could manage: a change in living situation, a decision to return to classes. He listened without interrupting, eyes steady on my face in a way that made my pulse jump once before I controlled i

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Five

Ava’s POVI stood still for a moment after the car pulled away and simply looked at the school. It was no ordinary school. The main building rose in clean lines of glass and pale stone, the kind of architecture that belonged more to a private corporate campus than a place of classrooms. Wide steps led up to a set of heavy glass doors. Perfectly maintained lawns stretched on either side, and a row of expensive cars sat in the student parking area beyond the main walkway. Even the air felt different—quiet, polished, and carefully controlled. As I walked toward the entrance I began to hear the conversations around me. Two girls near the steps were comparing summer trips—one to the Amalfi Coast, the other to a private island I had only ever seen in magazines. A boy in a tailored jacket laughed about his father’s new jet and the crew that came with it. Someone else mentioned a charity gala where the cheapest table cost more than most people’s monthly rent. The comments were casual, almost

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Four

Ava’s POVI went back inside my room with the coffee still warm in my hands and the maid’s frightened voice still clear in my ears. The realization from the kitchen followed me like a second shadow. Corren did not need to be standing in the doorway to enforce his rules. The entire household already moved according to them. Even the simple act of making coffee before sunrise had been enough to put someone else’s job at risk. I set the cup down on the table by the window and stood there for a moment longer, looking out at the gardens without really seeing them. The power he held was no longer abstract. It was in the walls, in the staff, in the quiet fear that lived under every polite interaction.I pushed the thought aside as best I could and walked into the bathroom. The water ran hot. I stepped under the spray and let it pour over my shoulders and down my back, hoping it would loosen the tight feeling in my chest. It only partially worked. My mind kept moving between the day ahead and

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Three

Ava’s POVI went inside my room not happy that we didn’t say anything and also happy that I am resuming school tomorrow. The door closed behind me with a soft click that felt louder than it should have. I stood still for a moment in the middle of the large bedroom, the silence of the west wing settling around me again. Dinner had ended without a single real exchange. Corren had eaten, stood, and left. No glance that lasted longer than a second. No instruction beyond the final one about school. The distance he had placed between us sat in my chest like something solid. I disliked it more than I wanted to admit. At the same time, tomorrow was real. School. A driver. A schedule that would take me outside these walls for the first time since I had arrived. The thought sent a thin current of nervous energy through me. I didn’t know how the school would be in this place—whether the other students would look at me and see someone ordinary or someone who arrived each morning from a private es
