Zade's POV

“Do you really think a few hundred dollars is worth me getting angry over?” I added, lowering my voice and injecting a bit of sterness into it for effect.

Elaine's eyes widened slightly, “I… Well…” She stammered, she wrung her hands together as her eyes flitted here and there, she even looked at Ray for help but he blatantly ignored her. She looked like a deer that was caught in the headlight.

I couldn't hold back the laugh any longer, it burst out of me with such intensity that I had to double over and hold my stomach. The look on her face was priceless and her confusion was so palpable that I could almost reach out to touch it.
