| ALESSIO'S POV |

"Fancy some wine?" Cedric Schott offered. I nodded and watched as he fills two glasses of wine.

Cedric Schott was a man in his early forties. He was ready to give me a hundred thousand dollars to kill a man.

"Who's the target?" I asked, sitting down on his seat in his own office. He clenched his jaw at my behavior.

"Is there a problem?" I asked when he didn't speak. He instantly nodded, pointing to me, "You're sitting on my chair."

"So what?"

"It's my chair, my seat, my office, my house, my—" I cut him off. "You invited me here, didn't you?"

He nodded, fixing his tie while I continue to speak, "So, deal with it."

"But that's my sea—"

"Are you seriously going to make a fuss over a fucking chair, Scott? I have other places to me and you're wasting my god damn time!" I snapped, running a hair through my hair to calm myself down.

I had a reputation— I was known to be the Shadow. The best sniper/hitman in the whole world. I take money from people to kill whoever they wanted me to, without asking questions. I didn't care as long as I was getting the money.

I was feared. The simple mention of my name would make people tremble in fear. I was known to be a heartless, cold and fearless sniper who never misses his target.

Cedric was only wasting my time by arguing with me for a damn seat. I had other jobs to do, other places to be, more important things to do than arguing with that bitch who was currently standing in front of me with two glasses of wine in his hands.

"Right" He gulped, "I apologize."

"Just tell me, who do I have to kill?" I asked, getting straight to the point. He handed me the wine while I drank instantly to calm my nerves.

"His name is Rafael Gonzalez." He said before pointing to a drawer which was next to me. "There's a file in that drawer on him."

Rafael Bloody Gonzalez.

I scoffed at the stupid man in front of me.

"You really think that I would risk my life to kill the leader of the Mexican mafia for you?" I asked, raising my brows at the delusional man.

Cedric clenched his jaw. He was controlling himself from snapping at me. I didn't want him to control himself. I wanted him to snap at me so that I could at least have a good reason to kill him. That man was testing my patience— a patience that I barely have.

"I give you a job, you do it without asking questions! I'll pay you a lot of money to rid the earth of that man's existance. Just do the damn job...or are you scared that you're gonna get caught? Or maybe you aren't capable of..." He smirked.

"Are you questioning my abilities?" I asked, clenching my jaw at the man.

"I don't know... am I? The great Shadow is scared to take down the Mexican Mafia Leader." He started laughing at his own words making me clench my fist.

"I'm not scared, Scott." I spat, "Tell me why you want him dead. I deserve to know since he's a mafia leader and if I do that job, I'll be on their radar which means, I'll have to lay low for a long time."

Cedric was quiet for a moment before he finally spoke. "My name is Schott not Scott. Anyway, you're right. Rafael Gonzalez killed my wife and daughter."

I opened the file which contained things I needed to know about Rafael. He was married with no child and his wife died two years ago.

"I'll double check those informations you've given me." I said without tearing my gaze away from the file.

"Why?All those informations are correct. Why would you want to double check?" Cedric argued making me stare at him coldly.

"Because I don't trust you. I'm doing the job, not you. So, zip it before I zip it permanently for you." I warned, standing up. "Now where's the money?"

He shook his head and clicked his tongue, "You get the money when the job is done."

I smirked, "Give me the money right now or no fucking job will be done. It's gonna be hard to find another person who's willing to risk their lives to end Rafael, don't you think, Scott?"

He gritted his teeth in anger before walking away. Seconds later he came back holding a briefcase. "There you go."

I took the briefcase from him and opened it. I nodded in satisfaction before closing it. "The job will be done."

"Okay when?" He asked making me sigh, "I'll send you a fucking message when it's done."

"Okay" He nodded, "If it isn't and If I found out that you took the money without doing the job, I'll—"

"You'll what, Scott? Sue me? Kill me? I'd like to see you try. It'd be like watching a baby take his first steps." I mocked making him roll his eyes.

"I'm serious, Alessio." His tone was serious. Cedric was one of the few people who knew my real name and identity since it wasn't the first time I was doing a job for him.

"So am I, Scott." I retorted, "but don't worry that bald head of yours. I'll get the job done." I said before leaving the house instantly. I didn't wanna waste another second arguing with him, it was starting to annoy me.

I headed back to my mansion and planned everything so that tomorrow I could end Rafael and get that job done once and for all. I found out that tomorrow, he would be at a party at 7:00 pm. I'd just kill him at the party itself.

**

I watched as Rafael's body fell on the ground. I smirked in victory before fleeing away from the 'crime' scene. On my way back to my home, I called Cedric and informed him that the job was done.
