Chapter 55

-MILA-

I followed Lowell down the hallway toward the back of the police station.

I could already feel the anger rising up in me.

But Lowell's phone began to ring and he paused, "Can you give me a minute?" He asked.

I nodded. I didn't feel like I could wait, but I didn't have much of an option.

He took a few steps away from me as he answered his phone.

I began to pace in annoyance, beginning to feel aggravated and angry. The more I thought of the killer being only a few feet away, the more the anger built up.

I turned to look for a clock, I could feel the urge to shift approaching me slowly.

"No, not now. Not yet." I muttered as I searched for a clock. I couldn't see any, but I knew the herbs were reaching an end. I needed to get to the killer before it was too late.

If I shifted now, it would ruin my entire plan.

I looked over at Lowell, he was still on the phone and it didn't look like he was going to be done any time soon.

"Screw it." I carried on down the hallway, hoping I would be
