Chapter 10

“Come on down for dinner, princess, no more room service.” Henry joked from the other side of my closed door. After rapping the oak surface twice, his footsteps receded with his retreat.

I felt sick in my stomach.

I still had not properly met the members of Drakor that lived here at the pack house and sitting through dinner with them sounded like a punishment.

However, it was a punishment that I rightly deserved for being awful to Chase and if I could get a chance to apologize after dinner, that would make it worth it.

With that consolation, I patted down the flyaways from my ponytail and left the comfort of my room.

I walked into the bustling room and it might have been my imagination but eyes seemed to follow me as I made my way to where Ron and Henry.

I fisted my hands as I walked, hating the fact that I felt like an outsider.

When I reached familiar faces, I sat down in the chair that Ron pulled out for me and returned Henry’s encouraging smile with a small one of my own.
