Chapter 29

Eliana:

I woke up to Vladimir running his finger over my lower back.

I raised myself to look at him, his eyes were gentle on mine, loving even.

“Good morning” he whispered.

“Morning” I said laying back down as my head throbbed because of the headache I was having. Vladimir didn’t say a word, waiting for me to be the first to speak after last night. I had cried for hours yesterday, and I was thankful that he didn’t leave me alone for a second. He simply lifted me in his arms, carrying me to bed, and wrapping his arms around me.

How I slept, when I did, and how he seemed to realize it, I didn’t know. But I was thankful for him being beside me. I got up from his arms, not saying a word after that. Despite me being thankful for him being beside me yesterday, the fight we had was one that I couldn’t easily forget. The pain I was feeling because of it, the anger, and the sadness. All my feelings seemed to mix leaving me in a big bimbo of confusion.
