Courtney POV

'Damn how can someone be so handsome? His perfect face, Charming eyes,lips...oh my…'

"Are you done?"

"Huh?"

"Are you done drooling?"

"What the….." I wanted to curse at me but decided against it,this is the palace and noble ladies don't curse.

"Sorry if you feel offended" I cleared my throat and apologized,it better not to cause any trouble,since I am leaving soon.

I stepped back and passed beside him.

I noticed he started following but I shaked my head.

'He can't be following me' I shifted his thoughts from my mind and walked towards a big garden I saw.

I was by the door when someone hit me by the shoulders and passed.

I hissed and was ready to flare up when I saw the handsome I met a while ago,so I just ignored him. But I entered anyway.

"Why are you here?" He glared at me when I came in and I flashed him a smile,even his glare is hot….

"I came in because it's a garden and I need some fresh air,any problem?"

"You are not supposed to be here,this garden is only accessible to the His Majesty,this place is prohibited." He replied, staring straight at me.

The fact that he's staring at me in my eyes is rude but he's hot moreover I never cared about the nobles rules anyways so I might just let it go

"Why are you here then? It's not like you are His Majesty or something?" I chuckled lightly

"You are not are you?" I asked to be certain

"I'm not" he replied and moved in forwarded

"As long as you tell no one,our secret would not be out"

"Our secret?" He looked at me as if i have lost it

"Yes our secret"

He sighed and stopped talking to me and went towards a bench in the middle of the garden and sat.

I sat beside him and enjoyed the scenery,just the two of us.

"Gosh ! Reena would be worried" I stood up in haste and ran toward the exit.i turned back to look at him

"Courtney"

"What?" He creased his brow in confusion

"Courtney,that's my name" I yelled and ran out.

'Handsome man see you soon ' I muttered under my breath and hastened my pace.

"My lady,have been looking everywhere for you"Reena voice laced with worry sounded as soon as she sighted me.

"I went for a walk nothing more"

"You got me worried,I thought you…."

"It ok,I didn't disappear,nor did I steal anything" I cleared myself as I knew what her thoughts were.

"Let's go,I need to dress you up,Her Highness asked you all to assemble"she patted me by my arms and pulled me along with her.

"Her Highness?"

"Yes the Queen Dowager"

"The King's Mother?" I gasp

"Yes,so hurry along" I sighed and hurried along.

We assembled in front of the Queen dowager's palace.

I got here about 5 minutes ago and met many noble ladies here already.

They are dolled up with silk and gold and they reek of perfume. The makeups must be expensive,it just meeting Queen Dowager,I don't know what will happen when they were to meet the king

They are just too…..

I saw everyone bow so I followed.

From what I learned,you bow when you meet a Royalty and don't maintain eye contact with them,so I lowered my gaze.

"You are all here,welcome to the palace," A soft voice said calmly.

I almost raised my head. It took me effort not to.

"I will inspect you,and I need you to tell me your names." The voice instructed.

I smelt a refreshing flowery scent hit my nose and I can't help but inhale.

"Lady Agatha Danbury" That came from one of the ladies.

"Lady Catherine "

"Lady Violet

"Lady Silvia

"Lady Winter

The flowery scent got closer and closer and I knew it was my turn soon.

I felt a presence in front of me and can't help but lift my gaze

"Lady Courtney "I maintain eye contact with the Queen Dowager and she looked nothing as I expected,she looked too young to have given birth to a King

Her hair was bound with hair pins and jewelry. She looked really beautiful and she had a small smile on her lips.

I quickly lowered my gaze and I heard her chuckled a bit then she moved to the next person.

I breathed in relief,I just looked at her eye to eye, Thank God she took no offense.

"That should be all,I will meet you at the dinning this evening with the king,make sure to be early, don't be late"

"Yes Your Highness" We all replied together,and she went back into her palace.

I raised my head and massage my shoulder. Bowing can be so tiring,I wonder how to do it without getting tired.

"Reena let's go,I don't want to be late for dinner" I gestured to Reena, who was with the other maids.

"Yes My Lady" she walked to my side and as I took a step forward, someone bumped into me and almost pushed me down.

"Shit….who is…..?"

I raised with Reena's help and was ready to flare up.

Only to see the culprit was leaving,I only got a glance at face,I was ready to follow her but Reena stopped me.

"Don't My Lady,she's the daughter of the prime minister and has the highest chance of becoming the queen,it better we don't cross her" I scoffed and walked back to my room with Reena's support.

Noble ladies and being naughty because they are noble.

Reena dressed me up for God knows how long and the palace provided us with a dress and jewelry.

"Done." I stood up and stretched

"Finally" I groaned

"It time for dinner My Lady"

"Huh,let's go" I muttered and almost fell on my face but Reena caught me.

"Shit,the dress is too long,I feel suffocated,the corset are not helping the matter,What the fuck" I cursed

"My Lady,you are in the palace now,you have to wear a corset,you have to wear long dresses,as a noble lady you…."

"I know, let's go" I cut her off and took a step one at a time.

"We are going to take forever if you keep this up" Reena whined while supporting me.

I was walking really slow and I might be late for dinner but who cares,I might really die in this dress.

"I know Reena,but I'm trying to….. huh? It's that handsome dude" my attention shifted to the man I met this afternoon,I saw walking alone and slowly to God knows where.

"Hey Handsome dude" I yelled and Reena hit me lightly on my back.

"My Lady,you are not supposed to be yelling "

"I know,I know," I looked in the direction he was and saw he stopped and was already looking in my direction.

"Come here" I gesture for him to come

"Me?" He pointed to himself

"Are you stupid? Is there anyone else besides you,come here quickly" I hissed

"My Lady you shouldn't say such words,you are…."

"Ssshhh" I silenced her and watched as he walked up to me slowly.

"Can you hasten up? I'm in a bit of a hurry" he frowned but still came to me anyway.

I noticed Reena now staring at him without blinking,she looked stunned,I was when I first met him. He's too gorgeous for a man.

"Help me to the dinning hall,I have to get there quickly,"

"My Lady,you shouldn't…."before Reena could stop me he was already by my side,he held my waist and drew me close.

I grinned,he looked hard to approach but he's still considerate.

"I might go fast so brace up" I beamed as I felt his warm breath on my neck.

I reddened and cleared my throat

"Let's go" he took a step and pulled me along.

Reena was stunned and quickly followed us.

He pulled me all the way to the dinning hall.I can say he's really fast and swift,I almost couldn't keep up with him.

"This should be the dining hall"Reena appeared breathless by my side.

She must have had a hard time keeping up.

"Thank You Handsome dude,I didn't catch your name this afternoon,do you mind…."

"George" I smiled

"George,see you later" I waved at him but inside of him to go back he went into the hall.

"George,that is the way back," I reminded him but he shaked his head and entered anyway.

"Let's go" Reena quickly helped me with my steps.

"George" I called when we were almost in the hall, I'm sure dinner was already served.

"The dinner is for His Majesty and the ladies in waiting" he did not reply but went in furthermore.

"His Majesty,The King" The servant by the door announced as we got in.

I looked back in confusion,to see if His Majesty came in after us.

I saw all the ladies and Queen Dowager stand up and bow.

I was staring at them all,and looked back to see His Majesty.

"You can all sit" George ordered and they all sat.

"Why are they…?"

"He must be the King," Reena whispered into my ear,and I shaked my head in denial.

But I watched as he went and sat down on the main seat kept for the King that was when it struck me

"He's....really the King" I said softly, dumbstruck and too shocked to move from where I was standing.

The one I have been teasing and playing with is The King
