Miranda's Point of View
“Luna! Luna!” a voice called, then I felt someone tapping gently on my shoulder.
My eyes snapped open, and I came face to face with Claire, my personal maid. How come Claire is standing in front of me? Wasn’t I just dying in the woods?
“Are you alright, Luna?” she asked with a worried expression. “I’ve been trying to wake you up. It’s time for your daily ritual,” she said.
“Daily ritual?”
She nodded.
“Yes. Have you forgotten, Luna? You always pray to the moon goddess at this time of day to help you conceive and give birth to a child for the Alpha.” She paused as she reached for the tray of food on the bedside table. “But you can’t perform the ritual on an empty stomach. Look, I cooked your favorite meal.”
Hearing her words, I decided to look around and realized I was back in Lorenzo’s and my bedroom. My gaze moved back to the meal she had brought, and I narrowed my eyes when I got déjà vu—this scene was familiar. Then it dawned on me: I must have traveled back in time. My encounter with that woman wasn’t just a dream.
“What is today’s date?” I quickly asked her.
“Today’s the 19th of April, 2025,” she replied.
My mouth fell open. This means I have traveled back to three months before Lorenzo and Mia framed me.
A sharp pain suddenly struck my head at that moment, and I let out an agonizing shriek as my hands flew up to support my head. While I was going through this pain, memories of different lifetimes began replaying in my mind, and I vividly saw how Lorenzo had used and betrayed me in each lifetime.
“Luna! Luna, what’s going on?” I heard Claire panicking.
“I’m fine,” I managed to grunt out amidst the pain.
“Should I get the pack doctor? Or… I’ll get the Alpha.” I shook my head in disapproval, but she misunderstood it as me fighting the pain.
“I’ll be right back,” she said, about to rush out, but I quickly grabbed her hand.
“I’m fine,” I told her. Although she wasn’t convinced, she couldn’t leave because my grip on her hand was very tight.
It wasn’t long until the pain subsided. I let go of her and asked for a glass of water.
“Here,” she handed me the water. I accepted it, took a few large gulps, and returned the leftover to her.
Just at that moment, Lorenzo walked in with a warm smile on his face—a smile which I now knew was fake.
“Alpha,” Claire greeted him with a bow, but he ignored her and came straight to me.
“Hey, darling, aren’t you supposed to be getting ready for your daily ritual?” he asked in the sweetest voice ever.
I scoffed mentally. What a pretentious imp!
Not wanting him to notice my disgust for him, I quickly wore a smile.
“Claire just woke me up. I’ll be ready in a bit,” I replied.
“Good! I came to inform you that I might not join you later for dinner. I have a meeting with an Alpha.”
“Hmm,” I hummed simply.
He leaned down and planted a kiss on my forehead. If it were before, I’d have had so many butterflies in my stomach, but right now, I felt nothing but pure disgust and fought the urge to push him away.
“I knew you’d understand.” With that, he left.
I quickly wiped off his kiss from my forehead.
“I’ll get your bath ready, Luna,” Claire said, heading to the bathroom.
Resting on the bed’s headboard, I began thinking of how I’d go about my revenge on Mia and Lorenzo.

>Seer’s Lair<
The seer was busy reciting some incantations, while my knees hurt from kneeling for over an hour. I was so done with the whole ritual.
I couldn’t believe I was hurting myself like this because I had foolishly been in love with a man who wasn’t worth my love.
“…bless her with a son.” The seer’s last words made me chuckle, but I quickly feigned a cough.
He carried a small bowl of fertility water and handed it to me. I accepted it and finished it in two gulps.
“It’s done,” he said.
Without wasting any more time, I sprang up and dashed out before he’d start advising me on what to eat and what not to eat.
“Are we going home, Luna?” Claire asked. She’d been waiting outside for me.
I shook my head. “I’ll go to the orphanage.”
Lorenzo’s study was on the way to the orphanage. Thankfully, he was out for a meeting, and we wouldn’t cross paths.
“You shouldn’t follow me. I want to be alone,” I told Claire, then left.

As I approached Lorenzo’s study, I began hearing voices, and my brows furrowed. Wasn’t he supposed to be in a meeting? Or did they decide to have the meeting in his study? I wondered.
The voices became clearer as I got closer—it was Lorenzo and Mia. But my legs froze as I overheard their conversation.
“It’s taking so long. How much longer do I have to wait?” Mia asked. She sounded upset.
“Come on. You don’t trust me, baby?” Lorenzo’s voice was the softest I’d ever heard from him. “It won’t be long before I get rid of her and make you my Luna,” he assured her.
“Really?”
“Yes. I’ll make sure the whole pack accepts, loves, and respects you!” he said.
“Oh, how I love you,” Mia exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.
“I love you too,” Lorenzo replied. “Come on, let’s go play with Jerry. It’s been a long time since I spent time with him.”
“My poor baby. It’s a shame we’ll have to sacrifice him to get rid of that foolish bitch!” Mia sighed. She was supposed to be sad, but she didn’t sound the least bit sad.
“Yeah, it’s a shame. But we must give up something to get what we want. And besides, we’ll make more kids in the future.”
I shook my head in disbelief. How can they be so wicked to their own flesh and blood?
Hearing their footsteps approaching the door, I panicked. My eyes frantically looked around, desperately seeking somewhere to hide. Then my eyes landed on a door—the door that led to a room I had never stepped foot into: Lorenzo’s restricted study.
He was always protective of that room and wouldn’t let anyone in, not even the cleaners. He claimed very important documents were in that study and a lot of things would go wrong if they ended up in the hands of someone with an ulterior motive.
But seeing as there was no other option, I quickly dashed into the room and locked the door from the inside. As I had imagined, it was pitch-black inside. I quickly pulled out my phone from my pocket, turned on the flashlight, and began looking around.
My eyes landed on a desk with files scattered on it.
Curiosity got the best of me as I quietly walked closer to the desk and opened one of the files. My brows furrowed at the words boldly written at the top: “The Great Prophecy!” and I became even more curious. The Great Prophecy? What could it be about?
I decided to read further. My eyes widened in shock and I froze as I read the contents of the document:
“Lorenzo Storm, born 29th August 1994, carries the bloodline of the cursed Alpha King, must be eliminated to avoid future calamities.”
Lorenzo is from the cursed Alpha King bloodline? Then why was he still made king?
I don’t know what came over me, but I flipped to the next page, and what I saw left me speechless.
“Vincenzo Storm, born 29th August 1994, carries the bloodline of the blessed Alpha King, will be mated to the Moon Goddess’s daughter, and together they’ll bring peace and order to the supernatural world.”
I couldn’t help the series of questions that flooded my mind at that moment: What does this all mean? Does this mean Vincenzo is my soulmate? But if he’s my soulmate, how come I don’t feel our mate bond? What is going on?
Just then, the door burst open—and I froze.
Miranda's point of viewOn getting to the living room, I saw Vincenzo sitting on one of the couches. He was biting his nails and tapping his right foot on the ground—an act of nervousness. Is he pretending to be guilty? Why all this nervousness?I rolled my eyes before releasing a light cough to announce my presence. He faced me and stood up immediately. He studied me for a moment before taking cautious steps towards me."Hi," he began awkwardly. "You left the pack house early," he said."I wasn't supposed to be there in the first place," I replied coldly.I brushed past him and sat on an opposite couch, pulled out my phone, and began scrolling through my contacts.Sneaking a look at him through my lashes, I saw him scratch the back of his neck and wipe his hands on his pants."Um..." He walked towards me and sat near me on the couch. "...I'm sorry about what happened back in the pack house. I made a last-minute change to our plan.""It didn’t look like a last-minute plan to me," I sa
Miranda's point of view"Mira!" I heard Kaspar calling me when I was a few meters away from the pack house.I turned around, and he signaled me to wait for him, then jogged over to me."You left without me." Feeling confused, I raised my brows. "You promised you'd take me to the guest house," he explained quickly, clearing my confusion.I sighed. "Come with me."He nodded. We walked in silence. My arms were crossed on my chest, and still sulking, I kicked every little object in my way. My mind was running wild with different questions: Why didn't Vincenzo let me in on his plan? Was I just a pawn in his game? Does he even see me as his partner? Am I not..."Are you alright?" Kaspar's question interrupted my thoughts.I frowned when I realized he was standing in front of me with his arms spread out, as if he was trying to protect me."What are you doing?" I asked."You almost walked into the pillar," he answered. That's when I noticed the pillar behind him."What is going on? Why do you
Miranda's point of view.Everyone gasped in fright and cowered away as the lady lunged at Lorenzo, who didn't even try to flinch.Just when she was about to stab his neck, Vincenzo rushed forward once again and caught her wrist just in time. Her dagger was maybe a centimeter away from Lorenzo's neck."You monster! You destroyed my life!" the lady growled, tears flowing down her cheeks."Calm down. I'll get justice for you today," Vincenzo assured her.She glared at Lorenzo as she bit her lower lip and clutched tightly on the dagger. Everyone could tell she was trying so hard to contain her pain and anger."Step down," Vincenzo said once more. She hesitated for a moment before giving a small nod and went back to her mother, then knelt beside her.Vincenzo faced the crowd. "Do you still want to hear her side of this story, or is this enough proof that my father is innocent and didn't abuse her?"The crowd shook their heads, all of them saying this was enough proof.I don't know what cam
Miranda's point of viewI felt betrayed as I watched Vincenzo's new plan unfold. It felt like I was watching a movie, and an unexpected plot twist had just been dumped on me.The guard who had left earlier came back, but not with the file Lorenzo sent him to retrieve. He came back with a crowd of pack members who stood outside the door. Then he walked straight to Vincenzo and bowed."Everything is ready, Alpha," he said.As soon as he said that, the crowd parted, and Maurice and Jeff—Vincenzo's and Lorenzo's father—walked in.Lorenzo's brows furrowed deeply as he looked around in confusion. "What is going on?" he asked.Nobody replied to him. Maurice and Jeff simply walked towards Vincenzo and bowed respectfully."Your Majesty," they said in unison.I don't know if it's Jeff's arrival or them addressing Vincenzo with the royal title "Your Majesty" that threw the crowd into turmoil, but they began whispering among themselves and asking different questions:"Isn't that the previous Alph
Miranda's point of viewLorenzo closed his eyes and clenched his jaw before pulling away from me. He rushed out of the car and bowed deeply before Mr. Antonio—his supporters followed his lead. Their action drew the attention of a few pack members around. The pack members were confused as to what was going on, but seeing as their Alpha and respected leader was bowing before Mr. Antonio, they bowed too."I'm sorry for the poor reception, Your Majesty. I wasn't informed of your visitation," he apologized through gritted teeth, subtly shifting the blame onto Vincenzo and me.Aside from his ruthless façade, he's just a coward who hides behind other people and can't own up to his faults.Although now I understand why Vincenzo had insisted Mr. Antonio come with us—Lorenzo and his supporters truly wouldn't have believed Vincenzo is the new King, and things wouldn't have gone as planned."Let's go down," Anna said, motioning for us to get out of the car."Hm," I nodded.I got out and carefully
Miranda’s Point of View> > 12:06 p.m. —almost too peaceful. The sun had fully risen, casting gentle light through the trees lining the road. I watched the golden rays flicker across the glass, painting silent patterns on Vincenzo’s face. His expression was calm now—stoic, but not cold. Maybe Carina’s little performance worked better than I’d expected.Anna was asleep beside me, her head resting lightly on my shoulder. Her slow, even breathing was oddly comforting. I didn’t move. I didn’t want to wake her—or ruin the moment.Vincenzo’s eyes flicked to the rearview mirror. I caught his gaze for a brief second."Are you okay?" he asked."Yeah," I answered quietly."We'll be home soon," he said.I didn't realize how soon he meant until my eyes caught the sign Welcome to Iron-Fang Pack as we drove past our pack's border."I hate that you're going back to Lorenzo and spending the next few hours with him," his voice was low and... sad?I knew he needed
