Miranda's Point of View
“Luna! Luna!” a voice called, then I felt someone tapping gently on my shoulder.
My eyes snapped open, and I came face to face with Claire, my personal maid. How come Claire is standing in front of me? Wasn’t I just dying in the woods?
“Are you alright, Luna?” she asked with a worried expression. “I’ve been trying to wake you up. It’s time for your daily ritual,” she said.
“Daily ritual?”
She nodded.
“Yes. Have you forgotten, Luna? You always pray to the moon goddess at this time of day to help you conceive and give birth to a child for the Alpha.” She paused as she reached for the tray of food on the bedside table. “But you can’t perform the ritual on an empty stomach. Look, I cooked your favorite meal.”
Hearing her words, I decided to look around and realized I was back in Lorenzo’s and my bedroom. My gaze moved back to the meal she had brought, and I narrowed my eyes when I got déjà vu—this scene was familiar. Then it dawned on me: I must have traveled back in time. My encounter with that woman wasn’t just a dream.
“What is today’s date?” I quickly asked her.
“Today’s the 19th of April, 2025,” she replied.
My mouth fell open. This means I have traveled back to three months before Lorenzo and Mia framed me.
A sharp pain suddenly struck my head at that moment, and I let out an agonizing shriek as my hands flew up to support my head. While I was going through this pain, memories of different lifetimes began replaying in my mind, and I vividly saw how Lorenzo had used and betrayed me in each lifetime.
“Luna! Luna, what’s going on?” I heard Claire panicking.
“I’m fine,” I managed to grunt out amidst the pain.
“Should I get the pack doctor? Or… I’ll get the Alpha.” I shook my head in disapproval, but she misunderstood it as me fighting the pain.
“I’ll be right back,” she said, about to rush out, but I quickly grabbed her hand.
“I’m fine,” I told her. Although she wasn’t convinced, she couldn’t leave because my grip on her hand was very tight.
It wasn’t long until the pain subsided. I let go of her and asked for a glass of water.
“Here,” she handed me the water. I accepted it, took a few large gulps, and returned the leftover to her.
Just at that moment, Lorenzo walked in with a warm smile on his face—a smile which I now knew was fake.
“Alpha,” Claire greeted him with a bow, but he ignored her and came straight to me.
“Hey, darling, aren’t you supposed to be getting ready for your daily ritual?” he asked in the sweetest voice ever.
I scoffed mentally. What a pretentious imp!
Not wanting him to notice my disgust for him, I quickly wore a smile.
“Claire just woke me up. I’ll be ready in a bit,” I replied.
“Good! I came to inform you that I might not join you later for dinner. I have a meeting with an Alpha.”
“Hmm,” I hummed simply.
He leaned down and planted a kiss on my forehead. If it were before, I’d have had so many butterflies in my stomach, but right now, I felt nothing but pure disgust and fought the urge to push him away.
“I knew you’d understand.” With that, he left.
I quickly wiped off his kiss from my forehead.
“I’ll get your bath ready, Luna,” Claire said, heading to the bathroom.
Resting on the bed’s headboard, I began thinking of how I’d go about my revenge on Mia and Lorenzo.

>Seer’s Lair<
The seer was busy reciting some incantations, while my knees hurt from kneeling for over an hour. I was so done with the whole ritual.
I couldn’t believe I was hurting myself like this because I had foolishly been in love with a man who wasn’t worth my love.
“…bless her with a son.” The seer’s last words made me chuckle, but I quickly feigned a cough.
He carried a small bowl of fertility water and handed it to me. I accepted it and finished it in two gulps.
“It’s done,” he said.
Without wasting any more time, I sprang up and dashed out before he’d start advising me on what to eat and what not to eat.
“Are we going home, Luna?” Claire asked. She’d been waiting outside for me.
I shook my head. “I’ll go to the orphanage.”
Lorenzo’s study was on the way to the orphanage. Thankfully, he was out for a meeting, and we wouldn’t cross paths.
“You shouldn’t follow me. I want to be alone,” I told Claire, then left.
>>>>>>>
As I approached Lorenzo’s study, I began hearing voices, and my brows furrowed. Wasn’t he supposed to be in a meeting? Or did they decide to have the meeting in his study? I wondered.
The voices became clearer as I got closer—it was Lorenzo and Mia. But my legs froze as I overheard their conversation.
“It’s taking so long. How much longer do I have to wait?” Mia asked. She sounded upset.
“Come on. You don’t trust me, baby?” Lorenzo’s voice was the softest I’d ever heard from him. “It won’t be long before I get rid of her and make you my Luna,” he assured her.
“Really?”
“Yes. I’ll make sure the whole pack accepts, loves, and respects you!” he said.
“Oh, how I love you,” Mia exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.
“I love you too,” Lorenzo replied. “Come on, let’s go play with Jerry. It’s been a long time since I spent time with him.”
“My poor baby. It’s a shame we’ll have to sacrifice him to get rid of that foolish bitch!” Mia sighed. She was supposed to be sad, but she didn’t sound the least bit sad.
“Yeah, it’s a shame. But we must give up something to get what we want. And besides, we’ll make more kids in the future.”
I shook my head in disbelief. How can they be so wicked to their own flesh and blood?
Hearing their footsteps approaching the door, I panicked. My eyes frantically looked around, desperately seeking somewhere to hide. Then my eyes landed on a door—the door that led to a room I had never stepped foot into: Lorenzo’s restricted study.
He was always protective of that room and wouldn’t let anyone in, not even the cleaners. He claimed very important documents were in that study and a lot of things would go wrong if they ended up in the hands of someone with an ulterior motive.
But seeing as there was no other option, I quickly dashed into the room and locked the door from the inside. As I had imagined, it was pitch-black inside. I quickly pulled out my phone from my pocket, turned on the flashlight, and began looking around.
My eyes landed on a desk with files scattered on it.
Curiosity got the best of me as I quietly walked closer to the desk and opened one of the files. My brows furrowed at the words boldly written at the top: “The Great Prophecy!” and I became even more curious. The Great Prophecy? What could it be about?
I decided to read further. My eyes widened in shock and I froze as I read the contents of the document:
“Lorenzo Storm, born 29th August 1994, carries the bloodline of the cursed Alpha King, must be eliminated to avoid future calamities.”
Lorenzo is from the cursed Alpha King bloodline? Then why was he still made king?
I don’t know what came over me, but I flipped to the next page, and what I saw left me speechless.
“Vincenzo Storm, born 29th August 1994, carries the bloodline of the blessed Alpha King, will be mated to the Moon Goddess’s daughter, and together they’ll bring peace and order to the supernatural world.”
I couldn’t help the series of questions that flooded my mind at that moment: What does this all mean? Does this mean Vincenzo is my soulmate? But if he’s my soulmate, how come I don’t feel our mate bond? What is going on?
Just then, the door burst open—and I froze.
Third Person's Point of View> The Next Morning – Alpha’s Mansion “It’s past seven already?” Miranda grumbled as she woke up to the loud, blaring sound of her alarm clock. “I’ve not gotten enough sleep.”She sleepily reached for it and snoozed it, but five minutes later, the loud blaring sound came again. Feeling frustrated, she sat up.And right at that moment, her phone beeped, and a notification popped up.“Everything is against me this morning!” she hissed. She reached for her phone anyway and gasped when she saw a message from Vincenzo. Then she remembered her mission.Fearing Lorenzo might see the message, she quickly deleted it. But when she turned around, he wasn’t on his side of the bed.“Oh no! Don’t tell me it’s too late,” she panicked. Her hand quickly reached for his side, and she gasped as her panic increased when she realized it was cold—which meant he’d been awake for a while.“What is wrong with you, Miranda? Why did you have to sleep like a baboon?!” she scolded h
Miranda's point of viewMy interest piqued immediately when he said he’d come up with a plan.“Finally. Where do I come in?” I asked.Instead of stating his plan, he stared at me from head to toe with a disgusted expression.“You should stop doing these rituals. You look like a ghost in these clothes,” he spat. If looks could burn things, my dress would be on fire by now.“I can’t stop,” I replied. He frowned. “Why?”“You don’t understand. I need—”“Do you really want to have a child with him?” His voice suddenly lowered as disappointment washed over his face. His assumption made me laugh, but I sobered up quickly and decided to give him a clear explanation.“Think about it. I’ve been doing this ritual for the longest time, and if I suddenly stopped, if you were Lorenzo, wouldn’t you suspect something is off with me?” He didn’t say anything, but I continued anyway. “I need to keep pretending to love and care for him. That way, he’ll let his guard down and we can carry out our plan smo
Miranda's Point of ViewPanic. My whole body is shaking from panic, but I tried my best to remain composed.Different questions swarmed my mind as I stood before Lorenzo. Did he see Vincenzo and me together? What lie should I tell that would sound convincing at this moment?"Why aren't you saying anything?" his voice thundered, making me flinch slightly.Clearing my throat quietly, I decided to say whatever came out of my mouth... I prayed it wouldn’t make matters worse, though."Relax, darling. We only crossed paths on my way back, and he decided to walk me home," I lied smoothly."It doesn't seem like it.""What does it seem like?" I asked, keeping my voice steady and firm.He narrowed his eyes. "Are you having an affair with him?"My mouth dropped open at his ridiculous question."Can you listen to yourself? He is my brother-in-law," I paused briefly. "Even if you don't trust your brother, don't you trust me?""Of course, I trust you, but—"I raised my hand and stopped him. "There'
Miranda's Point of ViewI squinted my eyes as I looked at his unconscious father, wondering what help he could be to us. I couldn't keep my thoughts to myself, so I voiced them out."I'm sorry to say this, but your father is clearly powerless right now. There's no way he can help us."Vincenzo chuckled lightly. "Powerless? No. He has all the power in the palm of his hand.""What do you mean?" I'm confused."The Alpha's seal," he said, hoping I'd understand, but my confusion only seemed to increase, so he went on, explaining clearly. "Only when you have the Alpha's seal can you be fully Alpha. But Lorenzo currently doesn't have it, because only my father knows its whereabouts. And as you can see, Lorenzo and his backers are only keeping him alive because of the seal.""Hm." I nodded slowly as I was briefly deep in thought. "Since you know your father can help you take out Lorenzo, why haven't you rescued him all these years?"He raised his brows as he exhaled."It's not easy to snatch
Miranda's Point of ViewLike a deer caught in daylight, my eyes widened in shock, and I froze the moment the door burst open.Oh no, I can't get caught, I murmured to myself as my eyes scanned the place for somewhere to hide."Miranda?" I heard Vincenzo's voice behind me.I turned around to make sure it was truly him. I let out a relieved sigh after confirming it, but fearing we’d be caught, I signaled him to lock the door. He nodded, quickly locked it, then approached me."I locked the door from the inside. How did you get in?" I asked, perplexed that he could open it."The lock is broken. I tampered with it some days ago," he answered."Oh."He stopped in front of me, tilting his head slightly as he stared at the file in my hand with a small frown. I quickly hid it behind me."What are you doing here?" he asked."Nothing. I..." I was speechless because I’d been caught in 4K."Lorenzo would have your head if he knew you were here," he scolded."Yeah." I took a deep breath to remain c
