LOGINI am Kaelen’s mate,” I said, and their jaws dropped. “I, Lyra Moonfall , reject you, Kaelen Darkmoor, as my fated mate and cut all ties now and forever.” Hurtful? Maybe. Justified? Absolutely. Beaten, betrayed, and on the run, I collapse at the borders of a rival pack only to be found by Thorian, Soren, and Vaelin. Three powerful Alphas. Three impossible mates. And all three claim me. As enemies close in and secrets of my past unravel, I must choose between survival, love, and becoming the Luna I was always meant to be. But can I trust all three… or will loving them destroy everything?

Kaelen’s lips brushed slowly along the edge of my ear, and his hand ran through my long, dark hair as he leans in for a kiss.
"Don't we need to wait a little, to make this more magical moment?" I asked because I couldn't silence the voice of doubt that was telling me not to.
This wasn't how I imagined my first time to go. I wanted It to be special, I wanted It to be on my wedding night, I wanted my virginity to be a precious gift to my mate Kaelen, after he had marked me and shown to the whole pack that we belong together. But him not making it known to everyone worried me.
"I love you Lyra and I can't wait any longer to have you" Kaelen said, holding my hands and spinning me around.
"You look so beautiful and absolutely breathtaking in this dress but I bet you would look better without it" Kaelen complimented and I blushed a bit.
"I just want to know" he cut short, placing a kiss on my forehead but I couldn't shake the feeling of not belonging gnawing deep inside me.
Growing up in a pack where I was bullied and termed as the debilitated one, I was not regarded as anything special. It was a hard life and nothing made sense.
The pain and humiliation each day grew worse, until the moon goddess smiled on me and I finally found my mate and he was no ordinary wolf but the next in line to become the beta of our prestigious pack.
Every moment I waited to find Kaelen was worth the while. The pain and rejection I felt was no longer lingering in my head, as Kaelen was exceptionally kind and loving towards me.
I hope for the moment he would mark me and everyone would know we were together and I was no longer useless.
"I know you are worried because I have not made our relationship official" I nodded my head in agreement to his words. Finally he knew what was holding me back and why I was hesitant in allowing him to have his way with me.
"I assure you Lyra, I am also waiting for the moment I would be officially made Beta and then right in front of the whole pack I would make you mine. You are so special to me and I want to make you feel that way too. For now I want us to keep it between us and give everyone the shock of their lives" I smiled inwardly, I definitely loved his plan and the thought of the look on everyone's face would be worth it.
Kaelen always had his ways with words that melted my heart and once again he had calmed my fears and tossed my reasoning aside.
I stirred at him, his deep blue eyes bearing a tale of passion, his lips curled up and his perfectly built body, made me desire him even more. But there was a wave of doubt that washed over me and before I could resist him again, his deep baritone voice came calling.
"Now come here you naughty girl" Kaelen said as he pulled me closer for a kiss. I tried to hold myself back and answer the one question that had always bugged me
"Was this what I really wanted?"
But I've come too far to listen to reason with myself, I just let myself have fun with how his tongue was shoved deep into my mouth.

We’d been lying in bed a long time and it was after twelve o'clock. After the passionate thing we just had, I thought I’d cook for Kaelen.
I beat some butter and eggs and put in a couple more ingredients that made my pie unbeatable and presently dinner was served.
I served Kaelen and he almost ate his fingers as he complimented my cooking.
"You will make a fine wife" he teased as he stood up and said he had to meet up with some of his friends.
He said he would be back soon since it was just a casual hangout with the guys.
"Ok but don't be long" I said as he shut the door behind him. I slumped into the chair and thought of the rough childhood I had, how I gave up on fate bringing any good things my way until I met Kaelen.
He changed every bitter experience to sweetness for me. I smiled in relief and the hope of my future with him gave me strength and courage to move on.
I stood up to clear the table and I found Kaelen's phone.
He must have forgotten it. I hurried out to look for him but he was already a good distance away, so I pursued him to give him his phone.
I made my way into the pack house, striding with the knowledge that before long everyone would know Kaelen and I were mates, but I halted at the door when I heard Kaelen and his packmates discussing his future plans.
"Kaelen, you will soon be made Beta and you are yet to show us your mate?" One of his friends asked in a stern voice and my heart skipped.
The moment I was waiting for had arrived and I was so excited that Kaelen would finally tell everyone I was his mate.
"Or could it be that Lyra is your mate? Since you guys are close and she always loves to hang around you" Another of his friends asked and I continued to smile as I anticipated his response.
Kaelen laughed hysterically before responding to his friends.
"Lyra? Oh please. I can never settle for some as weak and frail as her. She is just a fling, who seems not to ever get enough of me, always coming back for more".
They all roared in laughter and Kaelen killed every form of hope that remained inside me.
"I am yet to find my mate, but when I do, I am sure it will be someone worthy of me. Someone from the royal family or better still a Beta like myself"
I staggered backwards almost losing my balance, then I quickly held my hands across my mouth to stop me from yelling.
My ears drummed a constant reminder of
his mean words, while my eyes suddenly became heavy with tears.
Kaelen's words bore the pain of a thousand arrows fired at my heart, each pierce, a sad reminder of the fact that I had been played and taken for a fool by the man I trusted with my life.
Lyra's POVI heard Vaelin before I saw him.Not his voice exactly. More the absence of it. Because Vaelin was never silent in the training ground. He was the kind of person whose presence filled whatever space he occupied, always moving, always talking, always generating some kind of noise that told you exactly where he was and what mood he was in without you needing to look. The training ground was completely quiet.I came around the corner of the pack house and stopped.Vaelin was standing in the center of the open space with his arms at his sides and his entire body utterly still in a way I had genuinely never seen from him before. Not the controlled stillness that Thorian wore like armor. Not the deliberate calm that Soren cultivated. Something else entirely. The stillness of a person whose entire nervous system had been taken offline and replaced with a single point of focus. That focus was the young woman standing approximately six feet in front of him.She was not tall. Dark sk
Lyra's POVEliana went still beside me.Not the careful composed stillness she wore like a second skin in formal situations. This was different. This was the stillness of someone receiving information that rearranged something internal before they had finished processing what it meant.I watched it move through her and then watched her put it away."I will speak with him," she said quietly."You do not have to," I said. She looked at me and something in her expression was very old and very tired in a way I had not seen from her before. "Yes I do," she said. "There is still the matter of the original agreement and what is owed under it. That was never fully resolved." She paused. "I made a promise to deal with him permanently and I intend to keep it. But there is a process to that and Draven arriving here suggests he has decided to cooperate with it rather than fight it."I looked at her for a moment."I am coming with you," I said. She started to speak and I shook my head."Not as you
Lyra's POVKaelen walked into the meeting room like he owned it.I had always known he had that quality, that particular brand of confidence that sat on a person like a well-fitted coat, the kind that came from growing up being told consistently that the world was arranged in your favor and you were correct to expect it to stay that way. He had worn it the entire time I had known him at Obsidian and standing here now in Moonveil's formal meeting room with the council seated at the table and me sitting across from the empty chair he was about to take he was wearing it still. He sat down.He looked at the council representatives and nodded with the appropriate deference. And then he looked at me and what I saw in his eyes told me everything about how he had prepared for this moment and what he expected to happen in it.He expected me to react. He had built this entire maneuver around the assumption that putting him in a room with me and giving him an audience would produce exactly the k
Lyra's POVNobody moved. The courtyard held that particular quality of stillness that came right before something broke open and I stood in the middle of it and felt the cold weight of Kaelen's name sitting in the air between us and made a very deliberate decision not to react. Not yet.The young woman with the notebook was watching me with those sharp recording eyes and I understood instinctively that every flicker of my expression right now was being logged and filed and would eventually be read by people who had not been standing in this courtyard watching what had actually happened between the silver light and Margret's open palm and Dorian's complicated rearranging face.I breathed.Thorian's hand found the small of my back and pressed there, warm and steady, and I felt the message in it without needing to look at him. I am here. I am right here. Take your time.I took my time."May I see the complaint?" I asked, and my voice came out level and clear and completely without the fu
Lyra's POVI did not sleep well that night. Not because anything was wrong. If anything everything felt too right and that was almost harder to deal with. I lay in the dark staring up at the ceiling with my heart doing complicated things in my chest and my mind refusing to quiet down long enough to
Lyra's POVSomething was off with Thorian and I could not figure out what it was.At first I told myself I was imagining it. That I was reading too much into things the way I always did when things were going well and some fearful part of me was looking for a reason to worry. But as the days passed
Lyra's POVI strolled through the pack's territory, savoring the warm sunlight on my skin and the cheerful chirping of birds overhead. A woman approached me, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. When she reached me, she gently placed a hand on my arm."Thank you," she said, her voice shaking with
Lyra's POVI was still in the garden when I heard footsteps approaching along the path.I already knew it was Soren before I even looked up. There was something about the way he moved, quiet and unhurried, that I had learned to recognize without thinking about it. Like his presence had its own part
