Aria.
Slightly limping I made my way to the class, the feeling was awful; Not only my ankle was hurting but also there seemed to be a strange pain in my spine and more chest. Though my first shift wasn't today these sorts of signs were pretty much regular.
I sit on the chair and heaved out a sigh of relief but that didn't last long as I saw Hunter and a girl walking inside the class. The girl seemed pretty familiar and recognition drew upon me once I realized who this was. Samantha.... My cousin.
Well, Samantha liked Hunter from the start. She left no boundaries to try to get his attention even if it meant avoiding inviting me to a party so that she could get Hunter to focus on her only. And when nothing made it possible, she stopped for a couple of years until Hunter himself began turning into a monster towards me.
And now, Samantha left no chance to sneak into his pants. And it was no joke that she had slept with Hunter, not for one or twice in fact for countless times even though she knew Ashley was in some way Hunter's girlfriend.
My thoughts were broken when I heard the shuffling of the chair beside me, it didn't take me long enough to understand the person who sat beside me was my tormentor himself and beside him sat Samantha clinging to him.
I didn't shift my gaze toward him or at my nasty cousin.
"Won't you say hi to your cousin, Aria?" Samantha's voice felt like Sandpaper getting rubbed against my eardrums.
Oh, bloody hell! I hate this girl, even more than Ashley.
"I don't talk to sluts," I responded without looking at her.
I felt Hunter's intense gaze at me but I didn't look at him. It was of no use to try to even look at him.
"What did you just say?" her fuming voice echoed that drew enough attention towards her, that was what she wanted. Attention.
"I didn't know you are deaf, you should get your ears checked. A werewolf's hearing can't be this poor," I spoke nonchalantly and got my book out.
"You ugly bitch," From the loud slamming sound that was heard, I could tell she'd slammed her first onto the table but it wasn't my worry. I hated her anyway," How dare you call me a slut?"
So annoying.
This was when I finally shifted my stare at her. She was red in anger and her hands were shaking furiously as though she was ready to attack me but it didn't scare the nearest bit. Hunter on the other hand only looked at me, not even a drop of scrutiny seemed to have shifted towards Samantha.
"You know what? I take my words back," I smiled, "You can't be a slut because they are way better than you, you can be a...hmm.." I pretended to be in deep thought, "Get yourself a title that suits your character, I don't have time to waste on you."
She looked deranged. Yes. The insult perfectly hit her and a few laughs from the students around made it more likely to be effective.
I couldn't be happier. Watching her unable to speak up a word was a sight I'd pay for.
"I'll kill you," she stomped her heel on the ground and attempted to grab my hand but in the meantime, Hunter decided to stand up.
"Enough!" His eyes glared at me Despite wanting to shout back I couldn't say anything, nothing I say affects him so it would be a waste of effort.
"You shouldn't have spoken like this to Samantha," His voice was dangerously low and he grabbed my forearm jerking me to stand up. The action caused pain to shoot through my leg but I kept my lips pressed together to avoid any reaction that might give him the satisfaction he wanted.
"Say sorry to her," He ordered. I looked at him in disbelieve then at Samantha who now had the smirk plastered on her face caked with makeup.
Sorry to her? Not at all.
I'd let Hunter kill me today but saying sorry to someone like her was something I won't even do in my worst helpless situation.
"No," I responded keeping my fear aside.
I could say that Hunter hadn't expected me to disobey his order because of the flicker in his eyes and slightly raised eyebrows, after all, he was the Alpha.
"Say. Sorry. To. Her." He emphasized, his eyes daring me to speak another word.
Without any doubt, he was incredibly powerful and his aura was intimidating too but that couldn't make me say something I had already made my mind to disagree with. I was weak when it came to him but not when it was about others and today something inside me caused the fire to rise. I was not going to let him make me do anything that'd hurt my pride.
"NO!" I said louder.
"Aria, I said say sorry to her," He ordered in his Alpha tone, "Now!"
What is wrong with him? Why would I say sorry when it's not even my fault?
"A No means No," I removed my hand from his grip and grabbed my back before I proceeded toward the door without thinking about the consequences and considering the pain in my ankle that seem to increase with each rapid step I took, whatever it would be it couldn't be more worse than his treatment towards me.
"Where are you going?" His question stilled my legs and the low tone caused a shiver to run down my spine, I knew it wasn't a wise decision to disobey the Alpha but I couldn't refrain myself today anymore. Everything was too much to handle.
As if something wanted to burst out, the anger was boiling as if it would burn everything. I felt to destroy everything yet I wanted to do nothing other than go away somewhere where I could find peace. Save me from his hatred-filled gaze.
"Away from you, Alpha," I responded and walked out of the class.
A lone tear slid down my cheek but I quickly wiped it off with the back of my hand. My best friend became my bully and I was still unaware of the reason, unaware of his intention, of what caused him to hate me so much.
Hatred is the reward I got from him and the tears were a bonus.
A bitter chuckle escaped my mouth as I let myself get lost in the long corridor. I wanted to stay away from him. Away.
Aria"As far as I knew, wedding nights were supposed to be super romantic," I fought my giggle when he aggressively opened my wedding dress letting it fall on the floor before he hastily moved on to unclipping my bra."So what does this seem to you? Unromantic?" He rose one of his eyebrows as he ripped open my panties and the sound broke through the not-so-existing silence in the room."No, but you are acting like a hungry animal," A chuckle finally left my mouth.Suddenly with one swift yank, Hunter pulled me towards him so that my naked chest come colliding against his one. Goosebumps raked my body and heat entrenched into my skin."You are right because I am starving," His growl alone made the wetness gather between my thighs. He picked me up by my thighs and hooked my legs around his hips, slipping my arms around his neck to keep myself steady."And now that my prey is right in front of me, I am not going to hold back anything," He put me down on the bed, hovering over me and he w
AriaI did not know where I was. All I could see was darkness and darkness; Nothing other than that.Only one question that rose in my mind was—Was I alive or dead? However, my questions went answered and unanswered at the same time when I felt someone's presence beside me. It could be just a hallucination or it could simply mean nothing. But then I felt someone's touch that sent bolts of electricity to my whole body. Because of the chaos of thoughts, at first, I could not recognize the feeling but then once I felt the scintillas spreading throughout my body, I figured out that these were the sparks of the mate bond. The weight on the eyelids that kept me unable to open my eyes slowly vanished, and I fought the weakness to open them. It took me a few seconds before I finally managed to open them.Glaring sun rays hit my eyes, forcing me to rapidly close them once again. A small groan left my mouth automatically and I shifted a bit to avoid the light, lifting my aching arm to cover my
Aria"Sorry, beloved," Knight whispered before he pulled the knife out and thrust it into my stomach once again, "Revenge is more important to me than possession, but don't worry..." he once again pulled out the sharp weapon and insert it into the same place with double force, "Once I kill your mate, I'll save you because I have plenty of things I haven't done with you yet." He finally withdrew the knife and let go of me; The imbalance left me stumbling a few steps backward. My hands moved to press onto the wound. The blood endlessly gushed out it, covering my hand and dripping down to the floor, the pain was unlike anything. Everything in front of my eyes went blank for a second and I found myself falling to the ground. But my body did not end up colliding against the floor— Before I could fall to the ground, Hunter caught me in his arms."Aria..." He began hesitating, his eyes wide in horror and hands vigorously shaking as he watched the blood gush out of the deep wound continuous
Aria"Hunter..." His name fell off my lips before I even knew it."I see...so your mate's here." He spoke, lowly, "Too bad he has invited his own death.""Or maybe, it's you who's going to die."He laughed, looking at me in disbelief, "You really think so? Guess, you can comfort yourself by saying that but for now, my beta and gamma are enough to take care of your mate since after defeating all the rouges I put to guard, it's impossible for him to defeat them." "You are really a victim of the disease that destroys people, and you know what it is? It's your fucking overconfidence." I spat."But as far as I can see it's you and your mate who are going through the demolition," He said raising one of his eyebrows, "Anyways, let's see what's your mate doing downstairs...has he died yet or not, perhaps—" A loud growl of Hunter buzzed throughout the mansion once again causing Knight to stop in the midway of his sentence."Or maybe, he just killed your dear companions." It was my turn to ra
HunterKnight was smart enough to choose to build his mansion in the middle of the forest, but not enough to choose a forest that did not have only a slight distance of a few hundred miles like this one had.Once I entered the forest, using the mate bond to track where Aria exactly was. I became aware of the fact that Knight was not that confident about how he sounded on the phone because on every corner he kept rouges as the guards to prevent me from reaching his mansion. However, I did not let his arrangements succeed because I tore down every one of the routes into pieces just like I had told him. I knew my Aria was with him, captured by that son of a bitch and I needed to get her out at any cost. I wanted to rescue her as fast as possible before he could hurt her. I did not want to lose her.And I was like a ravenous animal who had no mercy left inside of him. I had forgotten everything, the only thing that was in my mind was that I needed to save my mate before that monster could
AriaWhen Knight hung up on his call with Hunter, at first I did not have any idea what was I going to do and what was going to be Hunter's decision when Knight intentionally put him in the middle of such a dilemma. Knight has no intentions to kill, he has told me by himself even though his intentions were far worse than killing me.Knight's agendas were so vicious and tricky. It was impossible to learn what was going to be his next move going to be.And that was why I did not want Hunter to reach here. Yes, I did not care or give a damn about what was going to be my state but I did not want my mate to get hurt or injured. Only because of that, I tried to send Hunter a signal to stop him from trying to reach where I was, taking Sierra's help to convey the message.I still had no idea if I had succeeded in doing that because Hunter's mark on me was still fresh and raw. But at the end of my attempts, I began badly regretting my decision.I did not know how that signal went, I did not ha
